We are so happy that we hired Pam for our house renovation in Monterey MA. Pam and her team came up with a great plan to turn an ugly duckling into our weekend dream house . We have worked with Pam Sandler on many projects: total redesign of a house, screen porch for another house, and interior repairs and design for a house after tornado damage. It was a seamless and easy experience to work with Pam and her excellent staff. We are ever grateful for their kindness, constant availability and great taste. Pam was the architect on a major renovation of our historic home, which was built around 1812. It was a complicated project, because the house had been divided into 4 apartment units in the 1980s and we were restoring it to a single-family home. We had a fantastic experience working with Pam and we were pleased with both the process and the result. She is a pleasure to work with She is creative, practical, skilled, and a true professional. She respected our input, but knew how to be in change of a project and was always up front and clear about her opinion. We could not be more pleased with how the project turned out.

Pam Sandler helped us design our house on a piece of land at the top of a mountain. From photographs and magazine pictures, she helped us design the perfect house that fit beautifully into the mountain and let us capture the best vistas from every room. We worked seamlessly and with honesty; we allowed each other new ideas and appreciated her insight as to how to make the flow of the house more efficient and practical. She was willing to incorporate our ideas and helped us edit them with professional knowledge and experience. Pam worked diligently with us on our project and we have recommended her to many other people.

Our experience working with Pam Sandler was wonderful. She transformed our 100 year old victorian house into our dream home, designed our garage and a guesthouse. Pam Sandler designed and oversaw construction of our 13000+ sq ft house. She was involved in every aspect of our project. She coordinated with the interior designer, the contractor, and many of the subcontractors. She was highly committed to our project, always available, and very professional. We highly recommend her.

We hired Pam Sandler for a total gut on a two-floor home that was built in either the late 60's or early 70's. It had been a home for a family with four small children and the layout was not right for us, a couple with two college age kids. In addition to the gut and renovation, we also added on a master bedroom suite on the first floor. Working with Pam and her colleagues was fantastic. Her design was exactly how we had pictured it and she listened and built us the home we'd dreamed of. She was communicative and open to our ideas as well as being both extremely accessible in person, on the phone and on email. I would recommend working with Pam on any project.

Pam Sandler is a consummate professional, and a pleasure to work with. We've hired her for several renovation projects. She was able to solve big and small problems and gave her attention equally to all issues that came up, regardless of the scope. We were very happy with final results, and would use her again!

I own an old house in the Berkshires, originally built in 1792 and added onto over the years. The different parts did not add up to a coherent whole. Pam Sandler was recommended to me as someone who was very good with old houses. And she is. She did a beautiful job of designing a new front for my sprawling house that pulled the whole thing together. The integration of new and old is so good that most people have no idea what was done. She helped me hire good contractors, and she supervised them effectively throughout the job, which took almost a year to complete. She also helped me deal with local regulatory agencies which were concerned about the environmental impact of my construction. She was a pleasure to work with, always responsive to my concerns and welcoming of my ideas. Besides my old house, I now know many new houses that Pam designed. They are all beautiful -- each unique, appropriate to their site, inviting and totally livable.

We hired Ms. Sandler to design a contemporary craftsman style house and oversee the construction. She was wonderful to work with - responsive to our needs, not ego driven (I.e., we got the house we wanted, not the one she wanted). We had a difficult contractor and she was able to handle him effectively. One example concerned our screened porch. She had specified steel beams to hold up the roof. The contractor decided, on his own, that the specified beams were "overbuilt" and didn't install them. Ms. Sandler caught that error and forced the contractor to adhere to the specifications. Because of the structure of the house, the elimination of the steel beams could have caused structural instability. I would never have known about it until the roof came crushing down! She has a remarkable ability to merge esthetics with practicality. She knows how houses are put together and didn't create designs that look good on paper but are a nightmare to build and maintain. She was always available to us and never gave us the feeling that she had more important clients to deal with. I would highly recommend her for any project, large or small.

Pam did an excellent job on the plans for renovation of our house. She was very patient as we changed the plans several times only to end up with the original plan. The contractor she found for us was professional, reasonably cost and did a beautiful job. All deadlines were met and some were even met ahead of time. Budgets were spot on and we had no surprises. Pam was very professional and we went with almost all of her ideas. The house is beautiful. I would recommend Pam for any size job. Her experience is extensive and varied.

Our project with Pam was warm and professional from the beginning to the conclusion. She listens, imagines possibilities and is flexible about incorporating new ideas and unexpected developments. We built a wonderful stone Berkshire "cottage" home with her, and enjoy how the design and space reflect our original intentions for the project. We highly recommend Pam and her abilities to conceive and execute a design project with expertise, follow through, and importantly-- a sense of humor!

Pam was the architect for the renovation and restoration of an early 20th century building in downtown Great Barrington that my partner and I purchased in 1999. Pam designed the building with a restaurant on the first floor and office space on the second and third floors. We wanted the building to set the standard for the renovation of the downtown area. The building was designed with care and creativity. She was a true professional! She oversaw the renovation which ultimately won an award for the best reuse of a building in our town. Pam is a true professional, easy to work with and amazingly creative!!

Pam build us the perfect downsized house in a location dear to our family. She understood very quickly what we wanted, welcomed our input both in the planning phase and during the actual building. We had some particular needs regarding displaying some of our collections and she realized all that for us beautifully. We have lived in it 15 years, and if we had to do it again, we wouldn't change anything to the design.

Hired to redesign kitchen, breakfast room and bath on main floor of historic home. Space was at a premium as rooms not large. In the process I received a laundry area, pantry and seven more feet of counter space along with a walk in shower. What was amazing is no walls were moved just the entry door to the bathroom.

We've use Pam for two major renovations and numerous small projects,ideas and general help situations. The first was a total renovation and when we had to fire the GC, Pam stepped in and completed the work. The second major work, a lessor renovation 20 years later, is near completion and she and her team has been great to work with. We find her responsive, resourceful, and creative where we needed creativity. This has been not only in the design phase but also in participating and managing the actual implementation of the design. We've recommended her to friends and acquaintances many times.
