Ten years ago we built our home in Memorial Bend with Metropolitan. The process and execution were near perfect. We were on budget and ahead of schedule. We have thoroughly enjoyed the home through the years and had no issues to deal with. Over the summer we decided to remodel the kitchen, family room and master bath with Metropolitan. We experienced the same customer-focused attention and quality work when we originally built the home. John Ogle handled our remodel and was professional, communicative, and accessible. We highly recommend Metropolitan whether you are building a new home or remodeling your existing home. They will listen to you and build a quality product for the price they quote you.

We just completed an extensive remodel with Metropolitan Custom Homes and we would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone! We purchased a 1963 house that needed just about everything replaced and/or repaired. They were very dedicated to helping us complete it in our (short) timeframe and did so with amazing quality and exactly how we wanted it! John Ogle was always involved and available and on site regularly during the entire process. His great project management skills allowed us to meet our schedule. Our experience with John Ogle of Metropolitan Custom Homes came shortly after our home flooded from Hurricane Harvey. We contracted with John Ogle of Metropolitan Custom Homes to put our home back together and to make substantial structural and decorative changes to our home. With John's help and his crew of skilled craftsman's he converted our home from a "mess" to our palace were we plan to spend the rest of our lives. John helped us through this difficult time with his patients, creativity, attentiveness, attention to detail and always available. We are extremely pleased with John Ogle and Metropolitan Custom Homes . We hope we never have to do this again but if we do it will be with John and Metropolitan .

We worked with John Ogle and Metropolitan Custom Homes in 2019 on a number of house projects as we were looking to address a few items that needed attention and update the exterior look of our home. John and his team helped us with new gutters, exterior paint, and a "slurry" or "german smear" on our brick ranch style home. We are exceedingly happy with all of the work and the level of professionalism received. We would highly recommend Metropolitan Custom Homes to anyone. I really don't know where to begin. I'll start with first class from top down. They truly have your best interest at heart and make the building process stress free.. We are 6 months into our newly constructed home with more than 60% completed and could not be happier. The quality of work has been second to none with subs working 6 days a week. Our superintendent is at the site daily and constantly keeps us updated on the progress. He takes the time to explain any questions we may have, resolves any issues we may have and has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I could go on for hours. Metropolitan Homes completed a quality renovation and addition on our home. In addition to updating existing bedroom closets, two new baths and new master bedroom was added. John Ogle was on site daily and supervised the entire project. The renovation was completed in 6 months and John was fantastic to work it.

Metropolitan Custom Homes makes you want to remodel your home just so you can use their services! I contracted with Metropolitan to do a total remodel of my kitchen and Master suite. Mine was a unique situation in which a comple renovation of a home was being handled by two contractors. Metropolitan exceded my expectations in timeliness, workmanship and professionalism. I have now contracted with them to correct the mistakes made by the other contractor. I recommend Metropolitan Custom Homes without reservations.

We hired Metropolitan Custom Homes/Stuart Beken to build our new, unique home. Our home is built around a 100+ yr old grain silo so it was a bit more complicated than your normal build but Stuart was definitely up to the task. If something popped up that Stuart wasn't familiar with, he would take the time and do the research, make a call or two, to make sure the issue was handled correctly. Stuart was very involved in the project throughout the almost 2 years and was always available when we had a problem or question. The sub-contractors Stuart had on the project were those that he's worked with on many other homes which I think is very important. If something wasn't done quite up to our specifications, there was no problem in getting it corrected quickly. Even though we've been in the house since Nov 2014, Stuart is still involved, tying up some loose ends. It's comforting to know that he'll stay involved with the project until it is completely complete! Stuart and his project manager John Ogle (who came into this project towards the end) are both a joy to work with. They know what it takes to get a house built and how to do it! I would recommend Metropolitan Custom Homes for your next project!!

Metropolitan Custom Homes is a fine company that completed our project on time, with integrity, honesty and excellent communication. This being my first build and very concerned with budgeting, I was very pleased to have the owner and his employees understand and work with me at any point needed. The quality and craftsmanship of the home is excellent, with the ability to pick and choose items within a sufficient budget. Building homes clearly has situations that are inside and outside the control of the builder and his subcontractors. I was very pleased that the subcontractors were for the most part respectful and more importantly detailed in their work. With the one subcontractor that was behind the curve, they were dealt with and we were able to move on quickly. The owner and the employees of Metropolitan Custom Homes were very easy to communicate with and almost always available 7 days a week for questions. There is a bit of blind faith that a homeowner must put into his/her builder and I have to say that I am very pleased that Metropolitan Custom Homes has not cut corners or promise items that did not come to fruition. I give them 5 stars because of the quality, integrity, honesty, and excellent communication.

I have never met someone in this industry who is more respected by those he works with and the contractors that work with him. Stuart Beken, the owner, is the nicest guy you'll meet and has a knack for taking your vision of what you want your home to be and making it happen. We purchased our home from Stuart, who only uses the best. In fact, when we have done any remodeling or upgrading, such as intstalling a built in grill, he is the first person we call. We know he is going to get things done, even when there are hiccups and things don't go as planned. For instance, when the granite contractor did not deliver, he got someone else in there seamlessly. Furthermore, whenever we have needed information about a color, brand, or original installer for something in our house, he replies immediately, even though we closed three years ago. Love the personal touch.

We set out to interview as many builders in the general vicinity and found a very mixed-bag. Some of them were highly arrogant and others somewhat clueless.
