BetterWay Excavating LLC

We hired these guys in June for 2 jobs. The most important and expensive job was to "Install a 30ft precast drain pipe from our drive down to our pond to remove surface water" that kept us from mowing our acerage. It does not work. In fact it's somehow swampier than it was before. We cant even use a push mower so once again we are in danger of housing copperhead snakes which love to hang out in the soupy tall grass around our pond. Ive called these guys 4 times (they screen calls at all times) and I've never had a return call. This is not cheap work and its a dangerous situation. I want to give people a heads up. I am now forced to waste time and energy in an attempt to hold this company responsible for their work, or lack there of. I must now.... 1- Leave honest reviews, 2-Report to BBB, 3- File a complaint with the liscencing board, 4- Use social media platforms to air my grievances, 5- contact my credit card company to see where I stand on purchase protection, 6- Possibly even sue through Small Claims court. I've attached photos to help you better arm yourself before you decide to let this company onto your own property and bill you for thousands. The photos were taken from my drive and show some of the pooled up water on the ground. The pond is just behind the trees there. Good luck!

Drainge - Our experience was top notch. In fact, we had them back for a 2nd project. Scott was prompt whether evaluation response, start and completion of project. Everyone was polite. Project cleanup perfect. I will recommend Scott to anyone, including family.

My project with Better Way Excavating was a good experience for me. The project involved coordination with the township and the local conservation district representative. This was all coordinated by Better Way Excavating. Everything was completed according to the plans with no loose ends. The finished site was very neat and clean when the project was completed. I received comments on the professional job that was done.

We had some old stairs that were leaning away from our building causing a safety hazard. I had BetterWay remove the old concrete stairs and prepare the old footings for the new ones. We got them removed, and cleaned up in 1 day, which was impressive. They were great to work with, and very mindful of my timeline. I would highly recommend them for any project. Thanks,

Scott Thomas (Better Way Excavating) has performed several projects for the Deer Run HOA. In each of these cases he responded to our phone requests; followed up in a timely manner; and completed the work on or before the expected due dates. All of our projects were completed in a professional manner and in many cases Scott was able to advise the Board of Directors which of the solutions were cost effective and would take care of the problems. We can report that every job has been 100% and at a cost that we felt was very reasonable for the work he performed.
