We just completed our kitchen project and we couldn't be happier. Our experience with Erik Kitchen Design was excellent. We have an old home which presented many challenges in this project. Additionally, we were all of over the place with respect to what we were looking for, not really knowing what we wanted when we started. With very little direction provided, Erik patiently presented us with many options and helped us figure out what would work within our 1908 home. The end result was exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend EKD to anyone looking for expert design and top quality materials (cabinets, cabinet hardware, countertops, etc) to build a new, "dream kitchen".

Not even sure where to begin. When I first met Erik I was concerned that he did not see my vision. In the end, he not only saw my vision but helped me go way beyond any vision I could have ever imagined. I feel like I have a dream kitchen like no other. Erik kitchen design did an outstanding job designing our kitchen in our beach house. The small space was quite a challenge and Erik did an amazing job giving us great work and storage space. Erik had great ideas and we went with all of his suggestions and couldn't be happier with the final result.

We happened to be riding passed Erik's showroom one day, looked in the window and loved what we saw! Erik patiently sat with us, drew up plans from our initial meeting, and we loved his plans from the start; didn't have to change a thing! Kim, his wife, is so gracious and accommodating, and Mike his installer could not be more exact and professional

Erik was recommended to us by our general contractor. He was really great to work with -- extremely professional and knowledgeable. His showroom makes the design process comfortable and easy. He came up with a design for our kitchen that really maximized our small space. He was able to recommend materials that fit our budget, and he went above and beyond to make sure things were perfect. The moldings that came in from the cabinet manufacturer were a bit off and didn't match our cabinet color. Erik identified the issue before we had even seen it and worked with the manufacturer to get the exact right color match. We were very confident that Erik was on top of the issue and it would be resolved. We couldn't be happier with the layout and final result. We would definitely work with Erik again and can recommend him without reservation.

When it came to planning our kitchen and bathrooms for our new Spring Lake, NJ home we are so glad we chose Erik Kitchen Design. Erik was always accessible and listened closely and patiently to all our ideas. His showroom was well laid out and conducive to showing us the samples we needed for our final decisions. We could not have been happier with our traditional kitchen cabinetry and two custom bathroom vanities – one built-in for the master bathroom and one free standing for the guest bathroom. Erik then worked efficiently and effectively with the builders, plumbers, electricians, etc. in putting everything together. Since there are a lot of moving parts when building a new home, this was especially important. From vision to implementation, we highly recommend Erik Kitchen Designs!

Erik Kitchen Design did a kitchen remodeling project for me. Going into the project I was a little nervous because we have never done any remodeling before but Erik got us through. He was precise, professional, and very meticulous about everything. His designs were absolutely beautiful, had an easy flow, and just worked. Also, whenever we gave him a call he would call us right back (which was important because we were in the process of remodeling our whole home) and had and answer right away. I would recommend Erik Kitchen Design to others in the future.

Through our builder I met Erik Mehr of EKD, and Erik worked with us to create an amazing open plan kitchen, as well as designed all the bathroom cabinetry for the master bath, two full baths and planned and built out the laundry room. We so enjoyed working with Erik and were so impressed with his design vision, ability to listen to what the client wants and create solutions, we had Erik design a banquette area adjacent to the kitchen. Erik took the initial architect's plan and redesigned the kitchen to maximize efficiency while enabling those working in the kitchen to be part of the larger living space. He did this by flipping the range, sink and refrigerator placements, eliminating a peninsula that chopped up the room and created a raised bar on the island. His attention to detail is amazing from the layout to all aspects of the design. With our banquette, he created a design motif that echoed the cabinetry on the island, rather than just a simple bench. For our bathrooms, he listened to our likes and dislikes and designed a stylish timeless look and layout that really works for us. With our laundry room, he created a layout that works for a house near the beach with room for all the requisite swim and beach gear. Not only is Erik a great design resource, he produced all our projects on time, on budget with no need for a punch list - it was finished completely and correctly the first time. In addition, he is willing to listen to your design view, offer suggestions but ultimately leave the decision to the client. We cannot say enough great things about his work, and we thoroughly enjoy working with him.

Since I've working with many contractors and so called designers as a home owner through the years. I must say working with Erik was the absolute best experience I've ever had. He was punctual, patient, knowledgable, and his designs were spot on for my bathroom vanity, make-up vanity (with shelves), and kitchen. If all designers were as Erik I would not hesitate to redo my home. I have recommended him to many who came back and thanked me.

Provided lots of alternative ideas and approaches to upgrade a 1920's house kitchen to a highly functional prep and cooking area. Provided increased storage area, beautiful in design and maintaining compatible design with adjacent rooms.( 2006) In 2015 I also hired ekdkitchens to design and install a two sink vanity in master bath. We did not have vanity storage in this bathroom and Erik designed a wonderful cabinet in center of sinks which provided great storage. Was a beautiful addition to bathroom.
