We have built and renovated several homes in utah and Las Vegas. Our newly purchased home in Park City was going to need a remodel, and doubling in size to 10,000 square feet. It was going to be complicated. We selected Brady because of several well connected recommendations. We selected the architect and Brady suggested the design people. This was a long distance project, as we live in Las Vegas. We were very pleased with Brady, and his attention to detail. Communications were smooth and he was quick to address our questions. At the end of the workday the site was always clean. The finances were transparent, with excellent office staff help. These projects are always difficult, and with Covid crazy, we had some material supply issues. Brady was conscientious to fight to keep supply costs at their original bid costs. Sherman Homes We hired Sherman Homes for an extensive interior remodel of our home. We had ideas of what we wanted, an idea of what we could spend and still cannot believe how well it turned out. Our project entailed a full gut of our main level and part of our second level. They reconfigured our kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room, powder bath, master bath, master closet, and master bedroom. We added new wood floors, tile, carpet, moved some windows and door, walls, replaced 2 fireplaces, moved plumbing, electrical and added a beautiful bar. Sherman Homes helped us with the initial design and shifted on the fly as we made changes along the way. They gave us different options for contractors with different price points so we decide what best for our budget. They worked seamlessly with our interior designer, Brittney Tobler, and the final results exceeded expectations. Their crew of workers were polite, well groomed, good at what they do, and most importantly were prompt and dependable. The contract workers that came in fit that mold as well. We have heard horror stories of remodel projects that others have had, and realize that is not uncommon in big jobs where unforeseen events surface when walls are torn down. We were fortunate that Brady was accurate in his estimates and contingency planning for all aspects of the project. We are so glad that Sherman Homes had the expertise to make our dreams a reality. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

Brady and his crew at Sherman Homes did a great job remodeling my duplex in Sugar House. Since it is a rental property, I gave Brady a pretty tight budget and schedule which he was able to meet. The quality of work, communication, and coordination throughout the process was great. I will definitely work with Sherman Homes again and will recommend them to a friend.

We have been working with Sherman Homes for several weeks now on renovations to our home. While they usually work on building homes they also take on the analysis, coordination and supervision of renovations such as HVAC and water systems, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, insulation and so much more. The level of detail and personable care has been a relief. I recommend them highly and would use them again.

Hello; I found myself needing a contractor to handle work on my Park Station condominium located on the first floor corner of the building. The problem I had was during the winter months the bedroom was very, very much colder than the rest of the condo. Entering from the living room into the bedroom was like walking outdoors. When reaching to touch the sheet rock attached along the bedroom walls the cold could be perceived to radiate from the surface. Another issue that didn’t help was the original window and slider door were simple single pane glass. These accounted for some inefficiency by themselves. Due to the overwhelming heat loss the electric bill would soar to a maximum of $498.00 dollars during the winter months. The electric heater ran almost constantly and the airtight wood burning stove hardly seemed to contribute any benefit. The condo is on the first floor and receives no heating assistance like upper floors do by reaping the heat from below. It wasn’t without some trepidation that I began a search for a competent general contractor as I reside in New Jersey. I was referred to Sherman Hayden Custom Homes by a fellow condo owner who completed a full renovation of his condo down to the studs. I decided to have Sherman Hayden start the project as I had a solid referral. I was very happy that I did. They evaluated the main issue of heat loss. It turned out that there was almost no insulation between the outside walls and the sheet rock within. There was some original foam sheeting which had deteriorated greatly over the years during the original construction of the building back in the early eighties. Also the exterior walls are brick with metal studs against the brick. It became clear that the studs absorbed the cold from the brick and transmitted the cold to the attached sheet rock. Thus the wall functioned as a radiator of cold making the room virtually impossible to heat. Sherman Hayden Custom Homes had an architect evaluate and approve the scope of work and handled all of the permitting processes for Park City. I was able to follow the progression of construction from New Jersey via photos and data on a computer program called “Builder Trend.” This is also useful to retain a visual record of improvements in the event of a sale in the future. Property contents were protected with plastic prior to demolition. The new double pane window and slider doors was installed. The inner walls were stripped to the existing studs then new interspaced bumped out studs were installed with appropriate insulation and new sheet rock. Once finish work was completed everything was painted and the furniture replaced. After they finished Sherman Hayden had asked me to make a punch list when in town of any issues with the work and they would take care of it. I arrived at my condo when all work was completed for a two week stay. Once there for about ten days I called to let them know that after inspecting everything closely there was nothing needing any adjustments and a punch list wouldn’t be necessary. I thanked everyone that I had contact with at the construction company for a job well done.
