We loved working with Lisa! She helped us with a home remodel and design while we were out of state before we moved in and then continued the project once we moved in. She had great ideas, managed the subs, cleaned up after them, kept things organized and done in a timely manner and was very responsive. She helped choose tile, lighting, furniture, paint colors, carpet and more. Moving to a new state and remodeling a home was a stressful experience and we were so happy to have Lisa’s help and design expertise. We love how everything turned out! We had an amazing experience with Lisa from start to finish! We live in Florida and had a condo in Deer Valley which was very dated and worn. We met with her when we were out for vacation--we met on a Monday and by the end of the week she had a plan for a complete gut, an itemized estimate and even samples of materials to be used. She managed the entire project--planning the design, hiring the contractors even working with our HOA. She was very knowledgeable, honest, current on design trends, receptive to our input and extremely easy to work with. In the end she produced a beautiful product. If you want details, keep reading. If you're just looking to make a decision, hire her; you will not regret it. Lisa and her team are absolutely amazing. I planned to play hard ball. I planned to not become friendly with the contractor, because I knew that I'd be taken advantage of.. but I wasn't. After prior contractors left a bad taste in our mouth, we couldn't have expected the level of care that we were presented with, right out of the gate. She showed up on time to our initial appointment, she walked the house with us, and she listened to everything that we had in mind. She was able to set a realistic expectation of what desires could be met in the space, and offered better solutions to various issues than we had considered. We left our initial meeting knowing that we had found our GC. The project ended up being all of the down stairs and the upstairs bathrooms and our home gym. This work included both exterior and interior, where exterior work was done in the hardest winter Utah has seen in decades, if not ever. But the work went on. The interior was done where Lisa kept us in the existing kitchen for as long as possible. She would have completed the new kitchen while leaving the existing one, had we not decided to just rip off the bandaid and be done with it. She weaved her contractor time tables from one job to another masterfully, and we had very little downtime between portions of the job. She was flexible when we needed flexibility and she even managed to save us money by timing purchases when the market was best suited for them. She was available via text or phone when we needed, had a concern to be assuaged, or needed a slight change; she rolled with each punch and pushed back with experience where it was good to do so. She effectively remodeled our entire home, moved the kitchen, made rooms that didn't exist previously, built a new fireplace wall, removed doors, windows, walls, reflowed, painted, installed new plumbing, hardware, installed a not previously existing A/C system. Basically, she built a house inside of our exterior walls, and did so in nine months. It would have likely been faster if we'd have been out of the way, but remember what I said about flexibility. We now have a stunning home. It completely transformed. I hope that Lisa uses the before/after photos to brag about what a transformation this house went through. Southwestern style to Mountain Modern, if not more on the Modern side. It's a beautiful home that we're thankful for. It's absolutely functional. It realizes the promise of what the exterior of the house was built for. Beyond this wonderful home, we now have an extended family of people.. Lisa and her entire crew, who were so friendly, so easy to work with, and so appreciative of the work we were giving them, as we were of the work they were doing, that we know that we'd be happy to call all of them our friends. Lisa and Heather are incredible. True professionals with extremely thoughtful suggestions that were considerate of and made the most of our budget. Our renovation included a new in-law suite, primary bedroom, bathroom and living room. While it was being done we were on the East coast. Hiring Lisa is the best decision a homeowner with a renovation or design project can make. She did an excellent and professional job in every phase of our remodel project including: working with us on design concepts and finishes, providing accurate and timely budgets as well as managing the project from demolition to scheduling subcontractors to managing the timely flow of material to following up on every little detail of the project until completion. Lisa was hands on every step of the way and always accessible and transparent in communications. Her stable of subcontractors not only did excellent work, they are easy and good people to work with. After one FaceTime consultation with Lisa about a long distance remodel, I knew our vacation home was in good hands. Lisa worked within our budget to create a welcoming and warm home environment in our vacation condo. The items chosen are sturdy for renters and comfortable to feel like home when we are there. Unique lighting and design choices were key to the new look. Lisa was easy to work with and with a few phone conversations and a design board we made a few modifications and got to work. New paint, carpet, furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork and bedding were all done. I highly recommend Lisa- I trusted a person I never met with my condo key, lots of $$$ and our vacation home, and she did not disappoint!! We were finally able to meet in person in June when the project was complete and we made it to Park City.

Lisa Shearer was a joy to work with! She was professional, listened well to our needs and wants, brought creative ideas and design suggestions to the table and was a great communicator. We wanted a full kitchen remodel and to get new flooring throughout the entire main level. We ended up remodeling the whole main level that included the kitchen and bathroom and then redoing tile in the entry and fireplace. Also new blinds and paint. She was flexible with changes we made throughout the project. Very efficient at getting the product choices and design. The work moved along quickly but did end up slowing with the final finishes. The subcontractors were professional and did great work. The finishing work on the tiling could have been a bit more clean and finished looking but did get resolved. Overall I love the finished product! My home looks totally different and beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Shearer Designs!

She recognized the possibility of vaulting the ceilings which changed the entire dynamic of the remodel and didn't cost us much more. Her contractors were very respectful as we were living in the home during the remodel. No detail was left undone. My wife and I both work very long hours and Lisa was willing to meet with us day or night in order to meet our busy schedules. She also was great about working with me on some of the things that I wanted to do to cut costs. She was consistently reviewing the expenses vs the budget and giving excellent ideas on how to cut costs but not quality. She was a hound dog in finding sales and bargains that helped drive down costs as well. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice to have Lisa on board as part of the team. Lisa is friendly, personable, and great to get along with. I see so many homes in a day I was really struggling with identifying MY STYLE! Lisa was able to coach me into the things that I really like. She navigated the differences between my wife and I. She was extremely diplomatic helping us get to the solutions.
