But after working with Michelle and Authenticity...I would never build a house without one. She always has your best interest in mind and was extremely patient with our changes and requests. Michelle was a pleasure to work with. She listened to our needs and developed a plan that suits our immediate and long term goals. We were especially pleased that Michelle was able, and willing, to incorporate classic details into the plan that nicely tied the exsisting home into the new addition.

My daughter, her family, and I have now lived in our new house for a bit more than 3 months. The house is beautiful thanks to Michelle's persistence and patience. We deliberately took extra time to have the house designed and changed the layout in major respects on two occasions. I, my daughter, and my son-in-law, each had ideas and visions which often conflicted with one another. Michelle worked thru them and brought solutions which we all could agree with. During the design and most of the construction, I lived in Arizona. Michelle was able to meet with us during off-hours to accommodate our 3 schedules and was able to conduct some meetings via the internet so I did not have to travel. Making the budget and our vision come together was a major task and well handled. During construction, Michelle provided help with continuing suggestions, monthly site visits, and detailed reports.

We sought Michelle Penn out after seeing some of the homes she designed, including a "net zero" home. We worked with her to design our home and could not be happier. Michelle was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. She made sure we were completely satisfied with the plans, and gladly made any requested changes. Solar panels were at the top of our wish list, and she incorporated them seamlessly into the design, making sure the layout of the home optimized the surface area available for the panels. We are just now beginning construction on our home. Michelle has attended builder meetings to help us make window and door selections. She has also made site visits to ensure that things are going according to plan. We would highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking to design their next home.

We hired Michelle this summer to design our renovation. I would always recommend an architect when building or renovating and Michelle's expertise was incredibly valuable. I would not hesitate to hire Michelle all over again and if we do anything else in the future we will look to Michelle. We loved getting options to help us choose and she was 100% right in that we would choose something from them all and incorporate into one. She has extensive knowledge in so many areas and helped us choose not only the best design and look but also the best space usage since we love to cook. I am the type of person that will ask a lot of questions and Michelle was always there to help and let me know if I was on the right track. Michelle worked hard for us when we were designing our dream home. Although we didn't end up building, the design was exactly what we wanted. We were every impressed with her professionalism and "bedside manner." She was not only a designer and consultant but a friend and confidant. Not only is she talented and innovative, her listening skills are amazing. Her fees are reasonable, her designs thorough and workable, and she “gets it” with home design. Our recent project was a former hoard house that had been added to twice and filled with design errors and construction challenges-it’s an understatement to say it was a disaster both inside and out, from property line to property line, from foundation to roof top. We started in earnest on this project in late 2016. Our project started as a redo/resale (way beyond a “flip”) in a historic neighborhood we live in. It's now nearing completion, with thanks to Michelle, the home will be our personal forever home due to her thoughtful plans, solutions and insights. We’ve not had a single, second thought while working with Michelle. She is the perfect architect for home design.
