We have used Shoreline Builders for every one of our home projects for over 10 years. Jim and his team are exceptional. When he says this is the start date, they start. When he says this is how much it costs, that is the price. His team are all extremely professional and the quality of work the provide is second to none. When you have a crew in your home for months at a time, you want them to be trustworthy and easy to be around. This is the case with Shoreline. We recently finished a total home renovation project with Shoreline Builders. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Jim and his team. They are professional, organized, communicate well, extremely experienced and offer the highest quality in construction materials and finishes. They continually steered us in the right direction in our project and by doing so, helped us make our house into our "forever" home. I would highly recommend Shoreline Builders to anyone that is considering doing a home renovation project.

We worked with Jim and Shoreline on a major expansion and renovation to our house for a good portion of 2010. We have since used Shoreline for 3 subsequent smaller scope projects. We made the choice to live in the house while the renovation was going on and Jim and his guys were great. They went out of their way to make sure everything was safe for the dog and the kids before leaving everyday. This was one of the cleanest project sites I have ever seen, I am a construction professional but my wife is not and Jim was able to respond to my requests and more important was better able to explain to my wife what was next, why and how long. The guys that Shoreline employs are all respectful and professional, we actually missed them when they were gone. The billings were concise and professional as well as the forecasts for cash flow. The change orders were minimal and generated by us. We have also had 2 small interior projects in our house and then last winter we had Shoreline travel to the Cape to do a bedroom/bathroom renovation. I have recommended Shoreline to Neighbors and Co-workers, and will continue to do so.

Upon the recommendations of both a friend, and a neighbor, we worked with Jim Wolffer and Shoreline Builders in 2013/2014 on a new sunroom addition to our home in Hingham, MA. Jim and his team were great to work with from start to finish, and we absolutely love the completed project. Shoreline Builders is excellent! I would definitely hire them again and can recommend them without reservation. Working with a firm that does both design and build greatly simplifies the processes and eliminates miscommunication between architect and builder. Jim Wolffer is very knowledgeable, and while creative in developing alternative solutions, he does it without losing sight of practicality and cost effectiveness. He also communicates frequently and keeps his commitments. Jim's crew are high quality craftsmen, but more importantly, they were clean, courteous, and respectful of the fact that we were still living in the house during the renovation. We really didn't mind having them around every day. As an example of Jim's creativity and customer-focused approach, during the kitchen renovation (which everyone dreads), he was able to keep us with a functioning kitchen, including running water, for all but one day of the project. We avoided the typical routine of eating out or having takeout or washing dishes in the bathroom, all of which made the hardest part of the project very tolerable. Jim and his crew delivered high quality work at a reasonable price and were a pleasure to work with. I give them my highest recommendation.

Jim and his team at Shoreline Builders built a gorgeous custom home for us. Jim was a total straight shooter, very professional, and easy to work with. Timelines and costs were clearly laid out and adhered to. We quickly realized we could rely on Jim's exacting craftsmanship and deep knowledge of building techniques to translate our ideas into a beautiful and workable final product. Both the process and the end result are everything we had hoped for.

Jim and his team were excellent, start to finish, and I will absolutely work with them again when we have another project. The craftsmanship and professionalism they delivered are uncommon. Two post-project experiences I had with Jim that may be helpful. First: three years after completing our project, I emailed Jim saying a very small part of an Azek railing that was installed during the project was bubbling. Hardly noticeable, but I figured I would see if Azek had a warranty. Jim spent a couple months bird dogging Azek to honor a warranty only to find out the rail model we installed was discontinued. Jim then went one step further by calling distributors, tracking down the required discontinued footage and installing it for us. Awesome guy to stand by his work, especially on a third party product that I chose for the project. Second: I have a friend who is a notorious 'tough-customer' to whom I wouldn't normally even recommend a movie. He's that tough. Despite that, when he was contemplating a pool house and garage project, I recommended he call Jim and at least meet. What could go wrong? 12 months later, my friend and his wife are very pleased with their completed project and loved working with Jim.
