Steve Rudin at Loyd Russel Homes came highly recommended to us from his previous clients and we were lucky to get him as our builder. Steve possesses all the qualities you want in a builder: knowledgable, honest, organized, great attention to detail, and decades of experience. He keeps the process running smoothly the entire time and goes above and beyond to address any concerns you may have. We were impressed with the quality of components used and his personnel working on the house. If we were ever to build again, Steve would be our first and only call.

My husband and I entered the prospect of home building with a lot of trepidation. As a real estate and construction attorney, along with having lots of friends and family who have built their homes, I'd heard a lot of problems and complaints on the mild end, and lawsuits on the extreme end. Why build then? Because we wanted a house that was made for our family's needs: 2 full time working parents who both work at home quite a bit, 2 young kids with friends coming over regularly, and a dog. None of the scary stories proved to be true for our custom home building process. We started with an architect/designer team who worked so well with Loyd Russel. Throughout the process (starting with plans and budget and now with the odds and ends), Loyd Russel was by our side, answering innumerable questions, and building a quality home within the projected schedule. Our home was designed from scratch, room by room and window by window, and Loyd Russel took those plans and brought our dream to life. Of course there were hiccups along the way, there always will be. But instead of bringing my husband and I into each and every problem, it was handled behind the scenes, with a lot of input from all parties who could provide help, and then clear options were offered to us for final resolution. I rarely recommend professionals to others, but here I make an exception and strongly recommend Loyd Russel.

Steve and Russel were great to work with and very responsive. They took pride in their work, and were quick and very willing to correct/address any issues, which weren't many. Overall the quality of our home has exceeded our expectations.

Loyd Russel Homes is THE absolute best home builder in the Houston area! They helped us build our beautiful home from start to finish. They promptly answered our phone calls, e-mails, and texts and they took a personal interest in our project--as if they were building a home for themselves or a loved one. We built our home with Loyd Russel after interviewing several builders. We were forced to build after a flood event and budget was a significant concern. Steve and Russel were incredibly helpful in ensuring that we came in on budget, including attendance at our architect meetings to ensure that the designs did not create any additional costs. We had an amazing experience building our house. Everyone told us it would be a hassle and we would end up fighting with our builder with long delays. We experienced the opposite. The team was focused on delivering our home on time and they made sure that we made decisions in a timely fashion to avoid delays. Steve has us moved in one week after the original estimated completion date. Most important, when we weren't happy, Steve fixed the problem in a fair way. His follow up was also impeccable. He showed the same attention to our home after we moved in as he did before we moved in. Often, this is when the builder disappears. Loyd Russel was right there addressing the punchlist and other issues that came up. We've had some friends who built homes and their experiences were very different from ours. I will say our neighbors had a very similar experience to us with Loyd Russel as well.
