Signature Kitchen & Bath Design

Lisa took our kitchen from cramped and frustrating to beautiful and functional. Her ideas for increasing counter and cabinet space, including moving the fridge and knocking the pantry down, were inspired. She was there to help us every step of the way, from helping us find and manage contractors to offering design advice. Any time things got stressful we could relax knowing she was always there for us. I would highly recommend her for any renovation project - her design ideas, color choices and constant support throughout were phenomenal. I adore my new kitchen.

Lisa McCutcheon is an amazing woman with the uncanny ability to immediately see what needs to be done with not just kitchen and bath design, but much more.. She was responsible for turning our 1959 house renovation from an average to an exceptional finish. On our own, my wife and I could never have begun to imagine the directions she took. Even though I originally struggled against some of her suggestions, in the end I relented and in all of the cases I'm glad that I did. On a few suggestions that I did not take, I now regret terribly, because she was right and I was wrong. I never would have considered moving the kitchen from where it was, in an isolated corner, to one more central in the great room we created.That was the first suggestion she made and did it within seconds of first entering the house as tear down was commencing. Now our kitchen is the focal point of the room and the layout and cabinet design is simply awesome. Our cabinets are not just custom, but they really look it! Additionally, she turned a full bath that was not needed into a powder room that was better suited for us but then could give us a very large laundry room centrally located inside the house instead of being in the garage corner and the additional inclusion inclusion of a very spacious pantry. She redesigned our guest bathroom from the old that it was to a new and modern one. She designed a completely new new master bath for us that is simply breathtaking. And the showers themselves are amazingly refreshing with shower heads that truly "shower". You will have to try one of hers in your own bathroom to believe how refreshing a simple shower can really be! She additionally helped us select items such as all new appliances, faucets and fixtures to match the rooms and made what could have been an overwhelming job into a much simpler one with far better results than we could have done alone. It was so comforting knowing she was just a phone call away. Paint color was what we felt we could do on our own. But after painting two rooms we knew we had screwed up. So we called Lisa and she told us about White Dove. Another item, mMy new microwave is in a slide out drawer now. I never would have done that without her and now I'd have it no other way. I'd give her six stars were an additional one available.

If you read no further, know this: Lisa was absolutely FABULOUS to work with. We could not recommend her more highly! We were recent first-time homebuyers who bought a foreclosure knowing it needed some work to really shine. The more we thought about the daunting task ahead of us the longer we stalled getting started. We ended up waiting over a year before contacting Lisa, and boy do we wish we had gotten it all done sooner! She helped in every aspect of our project, which included an entire kitchen, half bath, full bath, and pantry remodels. We had a vague idea in mind about wanting things to be fairly transitional and clean but with a little bit of sparkle and a punch of emerald green, and she took that vision and brought it to life even better than we ever expected. I still cannot believe this is the same house we bought a year and a half ago! Lisa helped with everything from design to contractor support to the small finishing selections we would have never thought of had we tried to piece together a project on our own. She is obviously incredibly knowledgeable about her field and communicated very well with our contractors to make sure things were done right the first time. She made sure the electrician had the proper knowledge to install a particular type of under cabinet and cove lighting that he had never used before, and stayed in close communication with both our GC and foreman. Lisa worked with us tirelessly (I am VERY particular...) to make sure we got the right pieces for our budget and style, all the way down to the kitchen pulls which I think took me longer than anything else to decide. She was patient the entire time, and has an amazing skill of taking a client's ideas and morphing them into a cohesive look. She was also incredibly helpful in negotiating timeline and budget with a new quartz distributor after ours closed up shop and moved to Canada. I called her in tears after hearing the news the day before the counters were slated to go in, and she immediately called as many suppliers as she could find in the entire state and promptly found someone who was able to very nearly match our original quote. The exact counters I loved were installed by another vendor only a week later--the week before Christmas, even! It is clear other professionals in the business respect her, and I can't imagine how we would have possibly gotten ourselves out of that hole without her. She knows how to get things done! Finally, she did a wonderful job of marrying my personal style with my husband's. Somehow we both feel like everything is exactly how we imagined it, even though talking about it made it seem like we were on pretty different pages. Her design work is top notch, and her ability to work the project through to completion in a timely way (and on budget!) was phenomenal.

Lisa helped us redesign our weird Master Bath-adjoining closet layout by showing us layout options and explaining the pros and cons for each. Ultimately, we moved walls and plumbing and separated the bath and closet. This layout is much more functional. Coupled with the beautiful tile she helped us choose, the overall look exceeded our expectations. Lisa was prompt in answering my texts or calls and is very easy to work with.

Lisa McCutcheon (Signature Kitchen and Bath Design) completely remodeled my 1987 kitchen, partially renovated two bathrooms and updated patio doors. My work schedule is not 'shopper friendly', but Lisa made it work. She and my sister-in-law would meet, bring me samples and ideas and narrow it down to my few favorite choices. Together, they eliminated much of the leg-work that I simply do not have time to do. If we disagreed, they looked some more and came back with an idea that always worked. I am very pleased with the final product and highly recommend Lisa for your bath and kitchen remodel. She won't stop til she gets it right! Thank you, Lisa!

Signature Kitchen and Bath Design and Lisa McCutcheon did an amazing job with my project that went above and beyond all expectations. She was really thoughtful about the practical parts of the design, but also created something that is just beautiful to live with on a day to day basis. Lisa is very talented at maximizing space and she was always available to help throughout the project with anything I had questions about. She is very easy to work with and is very knowledgable, especially in dealing with cabinet makers and the small details that make the kitchen special. She also, very importantly, worked in a timely manner to get everything finished by our deadline. I could not recommend her more highly for any kitchen and bath project. I am so pleased with how it all turned out!

We recently remodeled our home, and at the recommendation of our designer, we hired Signature to do our cabinets. They supplied our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and snack bar, for our media room. We worked closely with Lisa and our designer to choose the configuration and types of cabinets. The final product is not short of fabulous. The quality and design is how we expected it. Lisa was very easy to work with, and the cabinets arrived when promised. Her enthusiasm working with us, made us feel like she was redoing her own home. She made our major undertaking a lot easier.

We had specific plan in mind before we hired Lisa at Signature Kitchens. Lisa found a cabinet manufacturer that could build traditional Mission style cabinets in quarter sawn white oak. She also recommended a beautiful Brazilian granite called Copper Canyon to beyond basic black. She has a great working relationship with our contractor Hazlewood Homes. Our full kitchen remodel took six weeks and went as planned. Lisa was always helpful finding the finishing touches and coordinating all of the moving parts.

I couldn't have done my bath remodel without the help of Lisa. She was very professional and was available when I called. She had great ideas and was open to my suggestions. She saw to every aspect of the job and was in contact with the contractor. She was the go-between when I had a problem. When I start on my other bath I will definitely be calling her.
