I would not recommend Southern Green Builders (SGB) to anyone. My family’s experience has been extremely disappointing due to a complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism since moving into our home. After moving in, getting a response from their team has been a constant struggle. Emails, texts, and calls go unanswered for weeks, leaving us in the dark about key updates and next steps. This lack of communication was incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re dealing with something as significant as your home. The revolving door of employees over the past two years, dismissive behavior, and an overall unwillingness to listen or engage made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. One of the most frustrating aspects of working with SGB was the constant turnover of project managers and staff during and after the build. With every change, there were significant setbacks: instructions were lost, details had to be re-explained, and previously addressed issues resurfaced. The lack of continuity directly impacted quality and progress When it came to addressing warranty issues, the situation only worsened. Instead of taking responsibility for problems that were clearly their obligation, they either deflected blame or outright refused to resolve them. This disregard for their own warranty commitments is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their integrity. To top it all off, their overall professionalism, specifically with Alex Maldonado, leaves much to be desired. His dismissive attitude, lack of follow up and follow through makes it obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority for him or the company he represents. If you’re considering this builder, I urge you to save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. You deserve a team that values communication, stands behind their work, and treats their clients with the respect they deserve.

I have worked extensively with the SGB team over the past 5 years. They have been a part of an investment flip, building our family home and some of their individual contractors have also helped me outside the general contractor framework. Sam and Drew run their business the right way. They focus on the customer, respond promptly through multiple communication means, always shoot straight, approach sticky situations very fairly and are extremely detailed oriented. The system their team uses to track progress and manage communications during any project is user friendly and provides and excellent portal into the job on a real time basis. I would highly recommend their services.

Southern Green Builders was very professional throughout the remodel and addition process on our house in the Heights. The team was very knowledgeable and thorough throughout the entire process. We would highly recommend them for either a renovation or new construction project.

I hired Southern Green to perform a remodel on a Bungalow style home. They were very professional and walked my wife and I through every step of the process. I would consider myself pretty demanding and like to see all options before me when making a decision and Southern Green accommodated my requests happily! They provided me different options based on my budget and allowed me to make decisions accordingly. I have recently met with Southern Green again for a new build project I am working on and it appears they have come even further.
