Sally and her team at SpaceCraft transformed our plans for a new house into our dream home. We recently hired Spacecraft Architecture to design a new 3000 square foot home in Lexington Massachusetts. We worked with Sally DeGan, principal architect, and her small team of associates. We had seen several examples of her work in the Lexington area and liked her designs. Sally's well-deserved reputation in universal design concepts was also a strong selling point. Sally and her team were easy to work with. They listened carefully to our list of desired features and tried to include as many of these as possible in the initial design. It was only then that they offered alternatives and suggestions that improved the design given the constraints of our difficult building site and limited budget. In terms of budget, Sally made many suggestions as to small design changes and finish choices that resulted in substantial savings with little impact on the overall 'look' of the final design. Spacecraft worked with us on some local zoning issues and brought in consultants for a preliminary landscape design and site engineering. Sally then contacted three local builders to present us quotes. She even considered a company that designed modular homes as another route. We mutually decided that stick built home was the best way to go. We went with one of her suggestions, namely the Windermere Group located in Concord Mass. They worked with Sally on some small changes and did a a superb job staying on budget and schedule. Sally also was sensitive to designing the house with an eye towards the future and incorporated certain ADA features in the plan. The final result went well above our expectations. We have received many unsolicited favorable comments from both neighbors and strangers alike. They all applaud the design and 'set' of the house on the property. The most frequent comment was how much better this house looks than other contractor designed spec houses going up in town. Many other comments referred to the proportions and scale of our new home. Sally and her team understand the importance of scale and how it fits in with the overall lot size and design. Many of her other projects are on a larger scale so this was a bit different for SpaceCraft. We would strongly recommend SpaceCraft Architecture to others looking for an outstanding design for both new construction and remodeling endeavors.

We wanted to improve the flow of our home, and also add an in-law suite, new kitchen and garage. It was important to us that the addition look like it was a part of the original structure. We were able to accomplish all of this. The project was complicated and Sally was able to deliver! Our neighbors are thrilled with the addition. We get compliments on it all the time. Inside, it is comfortable and works for our everyday life as well as for entertaining. Sally puts the client first, always! She is thoughtful, creative, respectful, enthusiastic, and she treats each project as if it is her first. She has a fantastic team as well. Working with SpaceCraft was a lot of fun, exceeding our expectations!
