We remodeled our kitchen with Spazio La, we had to reconfigure the layout since it was kind of od, David from Spazio La came up with the best solution and design, he created an architecrural plan that allowed us to utilized every available space, David helped us with material selection, him and his team were very dependable and trustworthy, I love my new kitchen!

This is our third project with Spazio LA. If I were to stop there, that would tell you everything you need to know. Clearly we would not have continued to use them if we were not completely and utterly satisfied. Two of our projects were major home ovations, redo, and one was a relatively smaller project for a condominium revitalization. What we found most impressive about this company is their level of responsiveness. They had someone on site just about every day with whom we could meet to ask questions, make revisions, adjustments, whatever. If we had questions they were answered quickly. Not only were they personally on site, but they were easily available and accessible by text message. Always responding very quickly. They made excellent suggestions regarding product choice, and design issues. All their suggestions were both excellent in terms of form and function. They used a great architect, Raffi, who is meticulous and thorough and was a great sounding board. We bought our flooring and our tiles from their store and again their staff was very helpful in making a choice. We love what they help us. Highly recommend this group for any size project. And by the way, before I forget, what is really important is that they stayed on their timeline and our project which was a year Long was completed a week early.

We highly recommend the Spazio LA team for your next home renovation project! We’ve had dozens of friends who’ve either renovated or remodeled their homes, but the only ones who still loved their contractor at the end of the project were those who worked with Spazio LA. From start to finish of our kitchen renovation, Essi was there for us to advise on design choices, structural questions, and making sure everything was going as planned. We appreciate everything about Spazio LA, from being contractors and designers under one roof, to their beautiful showroom, to their fee structure, but mostly that they are wonderful people who cared about our project, and ensuring we were pleased with every step along the way. Essi and his team are the best! We also thoroughly enjoyed working with Diego. He was in touch, and generally on site, on a daily basis letting us know which trades professionals would be working at our house that week and which payments would be due, so we could plan accordingly. We appreciated everyone with whom we worked…Spazio’s cabinet craftsmen, electricians, painters, carpenters, plumbers, etc…ALL were top notch, and we’re grateful to have had them working on our kitchen project. Fair warning, though…If you work with them for one project, you’ll be so thrilled with the experience and the outcome that you’ll want a Spazio LA renovation for every room in your home! We LOVE our beautiful kitchen, and hope to work on another renovation with Spazio LA, very soon. We used SpazioLA to help us with a laundry room remodel and we highly recommend them! We worked with Elan as our Project Manager and he was fantastic! Easy to communicate with and reliable. He even helped us source great materials that helped our project turn out better than we imagined. We had a great experience working with Spazio (and Elan). We did run into hiccups like any construction project but they honored the timeline and we did not blow out the budget, which were two critical criteria for us. We cannot recommend SpazioLA enough. They are reliable, dependable, experienced, speedy, they communicate clearly and frequently, and most importantly, we are thrilled with our converted home office, backyard remodel, new pool and spa! When we needed some work done on our current home we were very nervous about engaging with contractors after a terrible experience in our previous home. After reading other positive reviews of Spazio, we reached out to them to help us convert our living room into a home office. From the very first meeting with our project manager Roy, Spazio was 100% professional and focused on doing the best job possible. We were so satisfied with the work they did converting the office that we hired them to completely redo our back yard, which included multiple deck areas with a new custom pool and hot tub. Even with this much larger and longer job they never once let us down. Everything was on time and any small budget overages were discussed thoroughly for approval. If we requested adjustments along the way, Spazio we always clear and transparent about how those adjustments would effect the job. There were never any surprises, and the yard turned out better than we could have imagined. We will definitely work with them again.

The finish of our remodel was exactly as we had imagined, EXACTLY what we asked for! It was so much fun being able to take part in the demo process, hitting walls, lol. Anytime I got overwhelmed throughout the remodeling process, Shay was always there reassuring me everything would be ok. Shay responded to ALL our inquires and anytime we needed him he would respond promptly, even when he was on vacation he made sure we were in good hands. Shay even made it convenient for us during the process of choosing materials, a few times he would bring them to our home. Spazio LA was very considerate of our time for the remodel, knowing we had to be out of our home the entire time, they finished quick and with quality work. The team even worked some weekends. In the final walk through, Shay, recognized details that we missed, and had the crew make corrections.

Working with Shay and the whole team from Spazio LA was a pleasure from start to finish. We were planning to remodel our master bedroom to add a master bath. Spazio provided three designs which also included a walk in closet and far better flow while staying within the additional square feet we were considering. The scope of the project including timelines, cost, and design options were clearly communicated and most importantly accurate throughout. As this was our first major remodel, there were additional costs that I had not fully anticipated ( mostly with various city permits and requirements) but the Spazio contract was clear what was covered and what wasn't. Throughout the project Shay was always readily available, flexible, and stayed on top of all details. He also offered excellent creative suggestions when needed (tile choices, walk in closet design, type and size of windows). The quality of the work from all crews involved was also outstanding - AND they were super nice. We couldn't be happier with the final product. It truly exceeded our expectations.

I have done several large remodels in the past, and know how painful the whole process of construction can be. Working with Shay was the complete opposite of my past experiences! He is calm under pressure, responsive to issues that comes up (as inevitably they will on any project), and has a solution-focused mindset. Instead of trying to assign blame or ditch responsibility, he immediately pivots to "how can we solve this and move on?". I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We worked with Shay from Spazio on two separate scopes of work -- an interior remodel and a landscape / hardscape remodel. The interior remodel entailed knocking down walls, redoing the kitchen, floors, fireplaces, bathroom with new plumbing, electrical, hvac, paint, and tile. The landscape / hardscape scope entailed a new driveway, new front wall with gates, and new back deck, and landscaping in both the front and backyard. A remodel is a stressful exercise as a homeowner. We had never worked with a general contractor before. Looking back on our remodel, we were very happy to have found Spazio and worked with Shay. Spazio's crews are focused on mid to higher end remodels and it shows in terms of quality and attitude towards the work. Any issues that arose on the project were promptly dealt with. Shay was always very responsive throughout our two scopes of work. We have worked with other GC's other than Spazio and it's been an absolute nightmare dealing with lack of responsiveness, lack of quality, and having foremen that are fixated on doing the job as fast as possible (at the expense of quality). I never felt that from Spazio's crews and appreciate that even more having dealt with some pretty crappy GC's. At the end of the day, while you can assess your remodel based on a budget, this is your home. Spazio isn't the cheapest (and you likely don't want that once you see the quality associated with that!) but working with Shay you will be sure to get someone attentive to helping you achieve the vision you have and ensure its brought to life. I highly recommend Shay.

From inception to completion everything was on or ahead of schedule and on budget! Could not have been more pleased by their attention to detail and extraordinarily polite customer service. Exceeded our expectations! We used Spazio LA to do our kitchen remodel and couldn't be happier. We went into it with having an idea of what we wanted but then Essi came in and made suggestions that took it to another level. Our project manager Diego was fantastic and always kept us in the loop. We just completed our second project with Spazio and they maintained the highest level of professionalism and customer service that they demonstrated in our first project in 2019. This project was a complete remodel of our guest bathroom. Essie listened attentively and made constructive recommendations during our initial meeting. Their team of contractors were responsive to all of our questions and concerns as they came up. Diego who managed the project was fantastic. He was available and responded promptly throughout the project for any needs or questions. We have had other projects done at the house before Spazio including rooking, flooring, lighting etc. and I can honestly say Diego was one of the best that we have worked with. I especially appreciated his open communication and his attention to detail. I have no doubt in my mind that we will conti9nue to use Spazio in the future for additional remodels that we are planning for our home. We are really happy with what Spazio LA has done for our garage remodel project. They were very efficient, the team very respectful and professional. The unexpected was perfectly handled by Shay who has always been in the forefront of making sure we'd be happy with the result. Most of all, the schedule was perfectly followed. We definitely recommend this company.

Working with Essi and his team was a dream. We remodeled our kitchen, primary bathroom, upgraded electrical, replaced old windows, replaced roof, etc, etc, etc. The kitchen remodel included structural changes such as adding a vaulted ceiling, removing a wall and pushing into our garage. Our house was built in the 50s and they discoved multiple leaks in the subfloor…but they handled it! The Spazio team handled everything from plans to permits. They were on schedule and offered budget friendly options where it made sense (do you really need designer windows?) My husband and I often had to take on different moments of the project due to work demands. As a woman I often get the old patronizing tone from contractors, but Essi was so kind and patient. I always felt like Essi was on our team by looking out for our best interest with vendors (appliances, tile, etc). We had a group text chain and they were so responsive every step of the way. You get what you pay for, and you will NOT regret choosing Spazio!

What a great experience we had in completely renovating our master bathroom! We chose SpazioLA largely based upon the enthusiastic reviews by their customers. Having heard many horror stories about contractors, I was skeptical but willing to go ahead with the project after I met with Essi, David and Elan. They evaluated the project taking into account all of our design ideas and came up with a figure that seemed reasonable to us. Élan was assigned to us as the project manager and he did a bang up job. He was present on practically every single day of the job and made sure that hardly a day was wasted awaiting subcontractors. Every single one of the subcontractors that did work on our bathroom was excellent in carrying out the work to perfection. We are thrilled with the end result and the job was carried out in accordance with the original estimate and in the projected time frame.. Elan was superb in overseeing the work and promptly responding to any of our issues. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will certainly utilize them again for our next project.

Overall, Spazio did a fantastic job with the build and while I was upset at a couple things, I want the focus to be the great work I received. The project "looks" GREAT!! From the Caesarstone countertop, to the tile in the backsplash and shower, I am a PROUD home owner. Of course, there were some small issues with plumbing/electrical functionality. Knowing what I know now, I'll take the blame and admit I did not check the work thoroughly nor connect with the company to stay on it. Specifically, team they sent out failed to install my kitchen plumbing with quality as I was left with a faulty garbage disposal from the end of the project to now. The continued electrical issues caused me huge frustration as my garbage disposal continued to short, from an electrical sense. Secondly, the plumbing failed to install the proper angle stops to ensure I have hot AND cold water from my faucet. Since the completion of install, I had been left with kitchen plumbing that left me frustrated with a decision to make. I made the call to finally replace the garbage disposal, some electrical, and the correct plumbing for things to work as I designed and built with the team. I now know that I should have called the company directly to come out and check out/fix my issues. Admittedly they were not given a proper chance, and I’ll take that ownership here. I live in a live work loft space in the Arts district Downtown, and was super excited to upgrade my space. Given this is my first time working with a contractor, I know my woes aren't as bad as others out there. Overall the work was great, and will be forever proud of my decision to partner with Spazio! Couple takeaways for next time: 1. Documentation. Stay on top of the project manager no matter what. 2. Keep a close line to the main office and be ready to call with all issues. 3. Check the work personally, run the water, turn the lights on and off until you feel comfortable with the functionality. Report issues with points 1. and 2. I want to be clear, Spazio is certainly reliable and TOP NOTCH QUALITY!! Give them a call, don’t rush and be involved with the details! It’s fun!!

We had our full house remodel and landscape work with Spazio LA. Our project manager was Shay and are very impressed with him. He was always available when we needed to talk with him via phone or in person. His responses to our question were very timely and very satisfactory. He was very well organized to manage the construction schedule. We had frequent in person meetings to go over the work each week. Although our remodel took place in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic from January 2021 to September 2021, Shay managed to complete the remodel work within our expected time framework. Due to COVID-19, labor shortage and supply chain issues, the work could go longer than 9 month but he was able to finish by the end of September 2021 by a very good construction management . When work quality did not meet Spazio’s standards, Shay did all necessary rework at their costs. Shay and Sapzio took full responsibility of completing our remodel work till the end. Only one thing we did not like was workers did not timely clean trash and it accumulated at certain times. We suggest more frequent trash cleaning at construction sites. Overall, we had an excellent remodel work experience with Spazio LA. We are very happy about our new house and enjoy it every day. We appreciate the efforts made by Shay, his team and Spazio LA a lot!

Thank you for your great work for our kitchen remodel, we are so happy with this new kitchen. Their professional advice and recommendations were always helpful for us, and now our tiny kitchen space has more flexibility and room for storing cooking things. We wish you could clean when all the work done. It was really dusty and messy, we disappointed when we first saw our new kitchen. Only one big minus but over all we are satisfied with this remodeled kitchen.

Spazio beyond exceeded our expectations. They were very professional, organized, prompt, and they treated our two bathroom renovations with the care they would as if it were their own. And our bathrooms are stunning! The details and quality of work are perfection. Our project manager, Roy, was the best. Truly a one-of-a-kind gem who, by the end, felt like family. He communicated every detail with a lot of thought and care from the beginning. You could tell he had our best interests in mind - not just by making sure we understood costs and options, but also by making sure we felt comfortable and knew exactly what was happening or coming up. We also decided to buy our tile from Spazio's showroom, where Yuval ensured we got exactly what we wanted for a great price. She was also invested in our design and offered recommendations and lots of enthusiasm. I can't emphasize the importance of having a top-notch manager and team like Roy, Yuval, Spazio guiding such a personal and valuable project. We are first time homeowners who were navigating a new world and took on our first renovation as soon as we got the keys. Now with more experience under our belt, and seeing/hearing other friend's experiences (elsewhere), we know for sure what we already felt - that we made the right choice with Spazio and Roy.

Over the last 5 years, I've had expeience with 3 contractors. One did fantastic work, but when it came time for a big project, he was unavailable. (The small guys that are good are in high demand.) The 2nd did the biggest remodeling job...and it did not go well. Workmanship was sub-par for the price and a real headache. (They have a 5 start rating on Houzz btw). Spazio (and Gonzalo), was our third...and the by the time you get to a third job, you've learned a bit about how contractors work, the quality of the materials they use, and the workmanship that makes a difference. Remodeling is all about the subcontractors and how good they are, and how well they are scheduled. Gonzalo paid attention to all the crazy details of our bathroom even more then we did...which is saying something. My only regret with Spazio is that they didn't do the other, larger job. Their workmanship is very good. They way they structure their bids I think make more sense. You are mostly paying for the work, not for a contractor to get deals with their buddies to make more money under the table. You buy the things directly that matter to you. Though, they have realtionships with companies (including their own higher end tile store and Ferguson in Pasadena to help get you deals on whatever you want, while providing guidance.) The work, design and material is higher end than other contractors. They do things right. (For example, they ripped out and meshed the walls to install tile...our other contractor just put tile of the wall that was there.) At the end of the day, the end cost is comparable, even competitive to other construction firms. Contractors are like real estate agents...10% of them are really good. The rest are a crapshoot. Can't recommend Spazio LA high enough.

From the first moment we met Essi and his team, they sprung into action. They answered all our questions and put together a very thorough proposal. We hired them based on their enthusiasm and we did not look back. They are very engaged with their clients and were on the job site almost every day. They are very responsive - nights and weekends. They involved us a lot and made sure we met with each sub before the work started. This really ensured that mistakes and do overs were minimized. They also went above and beyond to fix or change things as needed. Their subs are great craftsmen; beautiful tile work, great hardwood floors and great painters. Overall we were very happy with the end result and the quality of the work was great! Finally they are always willing and ready to come back and fix any loose ends. We definitely recommend Spazio LA!

We recently completed a kitchen/dining room remodel with Spazio LA and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. David worked with us on the designs and proposals and Alex was our project manager throughout the process. The workmanship for every aspect of the project (paint, floors, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, countertops. etc.) was superior to any we've previously had done with other contractors over the years. Alex visited the house on a daily basis, communicated with us regularly, and promptly took care of any issues that came up. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Spazio LA. It's been a few months since completion, everything is working perfectly and we LOVE our new kitchen and dining room. We would not hesitate to call them again!

Spazio LA was referred to me by friends who were happy with their home remodel. I hired Spazio LA to remodel two bathrooms and a bedroom. It was an exciting project from beginning to end. David and Alex from the start were very helpful and extremely available when it came time to select materials and finishes. Typically, when hiring a contractor at first it goes well and then the crew comes in and it is like dealing with a completely different company. We all know that nearing the end of a project, crews tend to drift off or seem to lose interest maybe because they've started another project. I am so happy with Spazio LA that I continue to think of new projects so that I may stay on their schedule to finally get my wish list completed. Spazio LA remodeled the front of our house and front yard and we could not recommend them more! Shay was incredible to work with over the course of the project. His communication was fantastic. He was always looking for creative and cost saving solutions. Anytime an issue came up along the way, he immediately addressed it and helped us find the best solution. We are very happy with our decision to use Spazio LA for our bathroom renovation. Our contractor, Gonzalo, was very good at communicating the status and timeline of the work going on each week. The project was completed in the time that they initially estimated and we never felt like a day was wasted where work could have been done but wasn't. We appreciated the input of Gonzalo, who did a great job of explaining how and why things were being built the way they were. Additionally, we really appreciated the Spazio team's design input and are very happy with the tile that we picked out at the Spazio showroom - it looks very high end. The sub-contractors that completed the work were very polite and cleaned up after themselves each day, which was especially important with our 1yr old crawling around. We plan to use Spazio LA for future projects!

We worked with Spazio LA on our 2nd bathroom remodel. Their attention and care with detail, leaving nothing imperfect and truly showing pride in their work really sets them above others. Essi is the owner/chief designer and when I first went in to the store to shop for tile for a bathroom, he gave me some ideas and design tips and suggestions, with no hard sell to buy their tile nor use their services. He suggested a beautiful tile combo and had a unique tile that I have not seen before or since. When it came to renovating our guest bathroom, there was no question that I was going to ask SpazioLA to oversee the project. Gonzalo Archiles was our project manager and was diligent, thorough and made sure I was completely happy with every detail. Doing a remodel during a pandemic was obviously challenging, but Gonzalo navigated the hurdles and observed all safety measures. We loved working with Essi and Gonzalo and hope to again, and encourage others to use their incredible services.

From the outset, the Spazio team impressed me with their respectfulness, creative ideas and attention to detail. The contractor I worked with, Shay Shuster, was able to be both creative and pedantic in his approach to the project. He listened carefully, made himself available to discuss concerns (no matter how small, or frequent!) was courteous, punctual and had great vision for the space. There were a number of times I found it hard to envision the new space, during these moments, Shay patiently walked me through options, informed me of the pros and cons and empowered me with the necessary info to confidently decide how to proceed. The Spazio contractors were excellent - from custom floorboards to French doors and cabinetry, the work was done excellently, on time and on budget. I had heard so many horror stories about remodeling, I’m happy to say I don’t need to contribute to those tomes. Shay and Spazio LA were fantastic to work with and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We hired Spazio LA to renovate bathroom and kitchen. Mike Abergal came on time to our appointment and gave us a very detailed quote within the next hour. We knew what we wanted and Mike and the team made our vision come to life. Mike was always available to communicate through phone/text. He helped make this process so easy. My wife and I want to fully remodel our entire house. I talked to Shay in the beginning of January. He gave me his ideas which are very creative and We love it. So we decided to go with him. He and his team did very fast and professional jobs. City approved the floor plan one time. And they completed the project about 2 and half months. It is super fast for a 3b3b more than 2300 sqft house. Not only just completed, they finished it very professional and beautiful. Shay always takes care of us about the project. He always wants the project to be 120%. Sometimes we think it is good enough. He still let his guy come back and make it perfect even some small details. He is still take care the project if something happens even he finished the project and not just take money and disappear. The best experience I had during this project is Shay always gives us options. We had situations so many times. He can just did it easy way to just finish. But he never did that. He always explains good side and bad side. We can make our decision not regret and live it the way we don’t like. So we have our dream house. The bathroom he designed is amazing. We want to thank him so much. I am not only got a good project result, I got a good friend.

Spazio LA went above and beyond our expectations. They remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms, installed lights, electrical a water-heater and numerous other parts of our house. They coordinated with our appliance suppliers and installers, and managed the whole project to perfection. As we're inexperienced in this, Essi and Gonzalo took us by the hand and helped with our choice of materials, colors and many aspects of our design. They were extremely responsive to our needs, always available for call or text, highly informative, helpful and trustworthy. Mike from Spazio LA was amazing to work with. He transformed our worn 1948 bathroom into a beautiful, modern bath. The team at Spazio LA created a beautiful space in our master bathroom. It was a complete gut job, redesigning the best placement for the shower and toilet. Working with Spazio, the design included all new flooring, tiles, free standing tub, custom vanity, lighting, bathroom fixtures, etc. The result is 100% beautiful and different for the previous bathroom. SpazioLA's team, including Shay, David and Essi, were easy to work with, with their work coming in on time and within budget. Shay was exceptionally responsive!

We just had Spazio do a full gut and two additions onto our home. I can't sing enough praises about this company! We were very scared to do a home reno as we've heard horrible horror stories. But from day one, they showed up on time and worked every.single.day. Everyday!! And even sometimes on Sunday's! They told us we would be in by a certain time, and we were! They work FAST. Essi's response timeliness is impeccable. With ANY issue we had, he responded to us almost immediately. Essi is also very fair. He will not nickel and dime you, and will be upfront about all costs. With other contractors, you may get the low bid, but the extra stuff is where they get you! We were given a dollar amount, and except for a few minor unforeseen things, were right on budget. All news may not be good news (as with any reno!), but you can count on honesty and that they will work with you on finding a solution. Also, the entire team is friendly and pleasant to work with. If we ever had to a reno again, we would absolutely call Spazio!

We have heard horror stories about remodeling from friends, so we have put off the project for years. After seeing what Spazio LA had done for out neighbor, we decided to go ahead with the remodel. We hired Spazio to do a partial remodel of our master bathroom which included redoing everything except changing the vanity. We also installed a steam generator and bench in the shower so we could use our shower as mini steam room. We are extremely happy with the end result and have no reservations about recommending Spazio and our responsive Project Manager, Shay. No project goes entirely to plan, but whenever anything wasn't exactly right, Shay made sure it was corrected. I am a detail-oriented customer and I'm also very particular about how I want things done and Shay always listened and made sure I was satisfied. As for the quality of the craftsmanship, I was most impressed with Spazio's framer and their tile guys - who were especially good. Corners, edges, spacing, shelves in the niches, etc. It all looks amazing. I found a couple of minor issues (that probably no one else would notice) and the team would immediately fix the problems like they never existed in the first place. The tile is the most visible part of the bathroom and I'm really pleased with their work in this regard. I would hire Spazio again and be happy to work with Shay in the future.

Working with Essi and his team was a dream. My partner and I purchased a fixer upper. Our house had a ton of issues including foundation. Spazio insisted that we address our foundation issues first before we hire them for work. This alone tells me that they were competent in what they did and did not do things just for money. Having addressed our foundation, we got back to the real work. My main person of contact was Essi. He walked us step by step throughout the process. I wish I could tell you that renovating our house was a smooth process. Our home was built in the 1950s and had never been updated so, of course, there were tons of surprises for us. Essi did his best to make this process easier and for that, I am so appreciative. We had the entire house interior renovated in TWO WHOLE MONTHS. Much less time than I anticipated. Essi is a very talented designer. I told him the style we were going for and he pointed us in the right direction. We purchased most of our finishes from Spazio Tile Gallery because they had some of the nicest looking tiles, countertops, wood floors, etc. Essi gave me updates almost daily throughout the entire process. He was onsite a few times a week to make sure things were going as planned. Whenever we had a concern, Essi and his entire team were there to answer our questions. Spazio really cares for their quality of work and their clients. We still have the exterior of our house that needs to renovating as well, and I'm definitely bringing SpazioLA back. I can't fathom hiring another company. They are much too talented and caring to go unnoticed.

Thank you Spazio, for an outstanding job! Shay, the Spazio team, are such dependable, trustworthy, informative, focused professionals and so pleasant to work with! It was easy to know their names , meaning how personable and accountable they are! The process was seamless and stressfree, the schedules flawless, the communication efficient and timely. It meant a lot to feel our house stayed a safe, clean and friendly place, while open to all traffic and hard work. Shay was gracious and patient with all our inquiries, knowledgeable while also making sure with the specific experts when some complex aspects of our “old charmer house” arised. I particularly appreciated him offering to explain the “why” of certain aspects, even before us thinking to ask, and it was fun to learn! When the manufacturer ran out of the countertop of our choice, he went out of his way to still find somewhere exactly what we wanted. Spazio were nice to collaborate with from hello: front desk was welcoming, David did not mind sharing some very good coffee, Shay was prompt in accommodating an estimate and in not delaying the start, and just like that, our dream bathroom is now here! He even saved me from having an ocre vanity:)...and convinced us to adjust the initial shower design with great suggestions. Well, the pictures will speak for the beautiful execution, and I have no doubt a lot more projects will continue to come, even more beautiful and exciting to accomplish! Can’t wait for a grand opening with our family and friends, always grateful to Shay and Spazio for the wonderful work they did!

Shay and his co. helped to remodel my new home's old bathtub into a full walk in shower, with their own selection of stone tiles. They were attentive, thorough, and kept me up to date constantly while getting the work done in 1.5 weeks. I'd recommend if you need reliability above all other things, as I've heard horror stories with contractors.

Part of the reason why deciding to renovate our home was such a hard decision is the fact that it’s tough finding the right contractor to entrust your home with. We’ve heard from lots of people about their negative experiences dealing with contractors, so we were expecting the worst. We found David from Spazio LA and the rest, as the saying goes, is history. How we chose a contractor: My wife and I both keep full time jobs, so it was of utmost importance that we work with someone we can trust as we were unable to manage the project as much as we’d like to. Also, since we had zero experience with renovations, we needed someone who will guide us through the process and explain how and why things are done. We interviewed several contractors before deciding to go with David and Spazio LA. The thing that stood out with David was our shared vision with how the space should be utilized. We gave the candidates a chance to share their ideas and David understood how we wanted to use the space from a practical stand point while making keeping an eye on good design. My wife and I knew what we wanted in our home and David provided ideas on how to make them happen while improving the aesthetics as well. We visited one of his recently completed projects at that time and we were amazed at how happy his other clients were. Design and Planning: We worked with David’s architect, Raffi, to come up with layout ideas for the addition and remodel. They were both very patient with us and accommodating of all of our ideas and requests. We went through several iterations of the floor plan. During the whole process, both David and Raffi were responsive, patient and flexible with what we wanted vs the costs and city regulations. Construction and Change Orders: As we quickly learned during this process, not everything goes exactly quite as planned. However, we appreciated David’s handling of any changes to the design or additions to the scope. We were always given options and he was very patient in answering all of our questions. I’ve price checked several quotes for additional work and David has always come close (and sometimes under) what I get from 3rd party vendors. As time went by, this just builds more trust that he is not taking advantage of the situation. We did have some issues with some suppliers, but David was always there to help resolve and in instances where we decided to go with our own vendor, he was always willing to work with them in a very professional manner. Why we recommend David and Spazio: -What I appreciate most is his willingness to always communicate. Call him any time of day and he generally picks up. If he is not available, he will send a text to let you know he is unavailable and that he would call us back. And he always does. Whether it’s to tell us good news or not so good news, David does not shy away from having a conversation to resolve any issues that may come up. -David was also quite helpful in picking out finishes for our home. We relied heavily on his design instincts and we are very happy we did. -David’s main subs are quite friendly and great at what they do. Plumbing, electricals, tiling and painting were all high quality. If there was something we noticed that either wasn’t done right or could be done better, there was virtually no resistance in getting these corrected or redone the way we liked it. -Our house turned out great and even better than how we imagined it! It was a long 6 months but, in the end, it was all worth it. We still have a few things we’d like to do but due to budget constraints we’ve had to put off. But even then, David is always willing to share his ideas for our future projects. We’ve learned that home renovation is tough due to the constant tug-o-war between what we want and budget constraints and timeline. However, in David, we were able to find a partner who understood our needs, wants and constraints. This renovation could have gone south in many different ways and many different instances. We are only glad that we had David and his team guide us through the process to get us what we wanted in the end while keeping our sanity.

I had my kitchen and bathroom renovated, the tile floor replaced, and the ceiling and walls smoothed out and repainted in my small one-bedroom condo. My project manager, Samuel, was very personable and easy to work with throughout. I went with Spazio because they were there to handle every detail of the work -- the demo, the plumbing, the electrical, the cabinetry, the painting, and all small tasks in between -- for a rather reasonable rate. Samuel even worked with me to pick out all the new appliances and fixtures, and made sure someone would be there to oversee the deliveries and installations. The only hiccups I ran into during the project were an underestimation from Spazio on just how much debris and damage there would be in doing renovations in such a small, fully-furnished space where coverings and dropcloths weren't always efficiently employed because everything got moved around so much (I would recommend to other homeowners that they move their things into storage); there was some frustrating miscommunication about when I would have a functional bathroom again that caused me to ring up a lot larger hotel expense than I had budgeted for; and once the majority of the work was complete, it took some time to get all the rest of the little things finished. I also ran into an issue with the city building inspector that took weeks to hammer out, but fortunately Spazio handled all of the back-and-forth. And when the city inexplicably refused to permit my replacement tub, Samuel's team immediately got to work constructing a great-looking shower stall instead, so they know how to roll with the inevitable complications that can occur during a job. Ultimately, the craftsmanship that Spazio employs is top-notch. Whenever I had issues with something, they were sufficiently addressed. And above all, Samuel was accommodating, upbeat and easy to work with. The kitchen and bathroom I wound up with are so much nicer than what I started with!

Spazio LA did an amazing job remodeling my entire home including kitchen, bathrooms, replacing doors and windows, and updating living room. The project took eight weeks and involved carpentry, flooring, framing, painting, plus electrical and structural engineering. I had five proposals for my remodeling project. Although Essi’s bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best quality and value for the price. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful the remodeling project was done and how amazing the transformation took place. What I appreciated most about Essi was not only his excellent design ideas and knowledge about all aspects of my project but also his communication and staying so closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. He kept me informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of the project. His communication whether by phone or text was always informative and helpful. This is a rare quality in any contractor but Essi was always available on his cell phone or returned my call within a few minutes. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. The project was completed on time and budget. Essi was very accurate and clear in his initial assessment of the scale and cost and there was no surprise over the course of renovation. Essi is professional and his work is done with care and precision. I am very pleased with the final project that he was instrumental in delivering on time and budget, and I am extremely impressed with his work ethics and character. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Essi is indeed a rare find. I would definitely hire Spazio again and highly recommend Essi to my friends and family.

Previously I left a bad review due to a misunderstanding with the project manager. The owner called me personally and was calm, professional and reasonable. This review is just my experience speaking with the owner who truly cares about his customers and takes pride in his family business.

Where to begin? We just finished remodeling our modest ranch home in Pasadena and could not be happier with the outcome! From the beginning, our project manager Samuel made it a priority to be available for any questions (and we had a lot of questions!) and was honest and forthright with his answers. With his attention to detail and thoughtful consideration of our budget as well as our lifestyle, we sincerely felt like he cared about us and our home throughout the process. We also had various workmanship issues due to a poorly done job by a previous contractor, and Samuel made sure to remedy those issues as we went along. We are so grateful for that! In terms of the job itself, we got a brand-new kitchen (we only had half of a 1950's-era galley kitchen before), some upgraded plumbing and electrical, a new water heater, new paint and flooring throughout, an upgraded fireplace, and a new entry storage closet that is not only a statement-maker when you walk in to the house, but is INCREDIBLY functional for the space! As far as we are concerned, Samuel and his team are true artisans...professional, respectful, and all experts in their respective fields. Their workmanship is excellent, the showroom is stunning (they carry beautifully unique, high-quality materials) and everyone we encountered were pleasant and friendly (NOT pushy). We began referring Samuel and Spazio to family and friends weeks ago, before our home was even completed! That says a lot about our experience and level of confidence we have in them. One of the main reasons I decided to meet with Spazio LA Designs for my Master bathroom remodel, was not only because of the beautiful work I saw online, but also because of the great reviews by their past clients. And after working with David, and completing my project, they deserved every star and then some!! I've worked with many companies prior to Spazio LA Designs and they were by far the best! In fact they exceeded my expectations. Not only was everyone with the company and at the office extremely friendly and professional, but when I worked with David, I could feel personal interest he took in every detail of my project and always felt in good hands. My husband and I bought our first home together last December and were so excited at the possibility of modernizing it. After a grueling interview process with 8 companies, we met with Essi from Spazio LA and are so happy we did! Date of project - August through December 2017. Cost over 100,000. I could not have been happier with the quality of work accomplished by SPAZIO, the commitment to making us feel comfortable and answering our questions patiently and thoroughly and the responsiveness to any question, emergency, etc. Our project was long, expensive and very involved. It required lots of coordination among people, such as, architects, engineers, painters, plasterers, plumbers, electricians, and on and on. All the work was done efficiently and seamlessly. Suggestions given to us for vendors to use was also excellent and the materials used were top notch. SPAZIO and Essi (CEO and project manager) were able to keep a good cost/benefit balance so we got, 'the biggest bang for our buck.' I recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation. Pretty much on budget and on time!!!!!

I can’t say enough about how happy we are with our project manager, Ido and Spazio LA! He did an amazing job! We had heard enough horror stories to make us nervous to do our kitchen and bathroom remodel but Ido put our fears to rest right away. He worked with our budget and our style and answered all of our questions every step of the way. He responded very quickly any time we needed to get a hold of him, and made sure to follow up expediently on all aspects. Our project always seemed high priority for Ido which made us feel like we were a respected and valued client. And we are so impressed with how quickly the whole process was. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Spazio LA. After a botched remodel attempt by a different contractor, a friend introduced me to Essi Safdie, owner of Spazio LA. Essi worked on a complete kitchen remodel for my 100 year old craftsman style home in Pasadena and through his design concepts, he transitioned and upgraded my kitchen while keeping the integrity of the original design. This was relatively a small project for Spazio LA, but Essi was always attentive and professional in offering his suggestions to design problems we encountered and always mindful of my budget and recommending alternate solutions. For instance, I lost valuable laundry space area with the previous contractor, and Essi managed to convert a portion of the cabinets in the kitchen to accommodate a full size stackable washer & dryer, which worked out beautifully. Essi is also a great communicator and knows how to manage his client’s expectations by checking in frequently, answering text messages and returning calls in a timely manner, and laying out plans for the next steps. His sub-contractors were all outstanding, and he makes sure the work is to his high standard and you’re happy with the quality and progress of the project. His attention to detail, personal involvement, and ability to listen and create a vision for your project is what sets him apart from others. I have a beautiful new kitchen, and I will definitely use Essi for future projects. I highly recommend him to family and friends.

We were trying to accomplish a lot of change with a relatively tight budget and from the beginning Essi and David from Spazio LA were the only team we interviewed that were confident they could do it within budget and in significantly less time than other architect/contractors. We wanted to find a way to keep the footprint of our house, not adding square footage, but rather reconfigure the rooms to use the space more efficiently and more closely aligned with how we live and use the space. We turned a two bedroom home with a tiny awkward kitchen, small dining room and seldom used living space into a 3 bedroom home with open concept living/dining/kitchen and a master bedroom suite. At our first meeting with Essi and David they were offering well thought out ideas for how to reconfigure the space and made us feel comfortable undertaking our first remodel. Their architect, Raffi, worked with us to rework the floor plan and was responsive to our ideas as well as looking at our needs and offering well thought out solutions. Essi supervised our project every step of the way and stayed in communication every day via phone calls, emails and countless texts. We relied heavily on Essi as a designer to help us make choices on materials, colors and fixtures. His vendors were all affordable, yet high quality, and easy to work with. Essi went with us to many of the vendors as our designer and offered suggestions that were lovely and sophisticated yet kept in mind our budget. Our project was managed incredibly efficiently, there were only a couple of days over a four month period where there wasn’t some team working on our house. They were also very good about keeping the mess and dust contained as we lived in the house during the remodel. All the teams of workers were attentive, accommodating and friendly. You can tell Essi and Spazio LA treat them well as they’re all loyal and hard working. I also appreciate Spazio’s approach of specialized teams of workers that know their craft as opposed to a team of workers who all do a little bit of everything. The tile team was amazing and the wood floor installers/finishers did especially good work. Our neighbors have commented on how friendly and considerate they all were with waves and smiles and positive attitudes throughout the process. When the inevitable problems or mistakes happened, Essi always responded right away and would reassure us “don’t worry, we’ll make it right” and he delivered every single time, even if it meant him coming over himself on a Saturday morning, power tools in hand to fix something for us. We’re extremely happy with our remodel and have already been recommending Spazio LA, Essi and David to friends and co-workers looking to do any size of project. We didn’t change addresses but it feels like we moved back into a completely new home that’s beautiful, light, airy, well thought out and built with care. It's the reviews on this site that led to me hire Spazio LA to renovate our small home (850 sq ft) from top to bottom. All of the reviews said much of the same thing, that they aren't the least expensive company but that they were great to work with, stuck to the original budget (no surprise costs), and that they completed the project within the timeframe they quoted. Well, every word of those reviews proved to be true and now I get to add my own to the list! I had a great time working with Essi and the team. The work they did turned out beautifully and we basically have a new home that we LOVE! A few of things I appreciated the most about working with Spazio LA were: GREAT IDEAS - Essi came up with an idea to change the layout of our home that we never would have thought of on our own. It literally doubled the size of our bathroom and gave us additional desperately needed storage space! GREAT COMMUNICATION - It's as if Essi is sitting by his phone waiting for me to call, text or email. Seriously. His response time was amazing and any questions or issue were addressed very quickly. Frankly, I'm going to miss texting with the guy. QUALITY WORK - Essi's team does beautiful work. Plain and simple. Overall we are delighted with our new home and are already beginning to refer Spazio LA to our friends and family!

Exceptionally talented company. We recently moved to California and had previous experience with a kitchen renovation in another state and although that had been handled well, the Spazio renovation was easier on us because of their cooperative approach and their design concepts. We worked with Essi and his team, and their staff support was outstanding, and made a significant difference in the outcome. Their attention to details, and the focus on making it come out right distinguished them from other companies. Their design ideas were excellent, and they worked with us to make sure it also met our needs. We ended up with a stunningly beautiful kitchen that is bright, happy and with great storage and work space. The staff worked hard and long hours which helped complete the project on schedule and within budget in a little over 5 weeks, and it was so helpful to minimize the inconvenience of living in a new house without a kitchen. They were consistently thoughtful in helping us avoid the stress of a major renovation. The finished product is excellent. In a space that not everyone thought could accommodate an island, we have an island with storage and designed to allow movement on all sides. Our lovely little breakfast nook is a gem, and the incorporated extra storage space was an extra benefit. Essi took us to the different companies for selection of the various products, tile, backsplash, counter, flooring etc., and his eye for these choices helped us make these several decisions. We decided on custom cabinetry and the project all fit together beautifully. Essi worked closely with their hand-picked electrician, plumbers, and various installers who were all very careful and obviously skilled. Essi was available by text, phone and e-mail 24/7 and every night verified the project plans for the next day. He made us feel our project was special, although we know he had many other larger renovations and projects. This was an outstanding experience because of the thoughtfulness, diligence and knowledge Essi and the company brought to our kitchen renovation.

About a year ago my wife and I got serious about doing a remodel to our 1,630 square foot home. We initially were looking to add a closet to my son's room and create a master bath with a dual vanity. We liked one of the contractors we had interviewed but thought we would give one more a try... Spazio LA. Well, let's just say that our little idea of a closet became something much, much more. When we first met Essi and David, of Spazio, we clicked almost immediately. The vibes were good! Essi was talking to us about the scope of the work and David was listening until he wandered away for a bit. We kept discussing things with Essi and then David returned only to say that he knew what the plan was going to be. So, we listened, and were simply blown away with his vision and plan for our home. The estimate for the job was very reasonable and after they left my wife and I knew that we were going forward with Essi and David. We felt bad for the other contractor, and let him down easy, but the vision that Spazio had was just too good of an option to pass on. We started the long journey back in June 2016 and recently finished here in April 2017. We had architectural plans drawn up and were given a couple of options to choose from before going forward. We chose the option that best suited our needs and were off and running. After city permits were pulled, and everything was approved, we were given a 3 to 4 month window for job completion. Even with all the rain California received this year we stayed on schedule. You should know that we chose to stay in the front portion of our house while the remodel was going on. The cost savings was immense and we toughed it out over that 4-month period. It wasn't easy, especially with two kids under the age of 5, but Spazio did everything in their power to make us comfortable. Now that it's all over we can breathe easier and really enjoy our new home! We ended up adding about 300 square feet. That included a new family room off the kitchen with an entertainment center and barn doors (so cool), an entirely new hallway design which included access to all three bedrooms, a master suite redesign including a brand new walk-in closet and Zen inspired master bath, a new bedroom, new location of our washer and dryer (in the newly designed hallway), and a new entry/exit door to the backyard! We ended up getting all new copper pipes, a new AC unit, a new furnace, a brand new roof, new engineered hardwood flooring, a beautiful skylight in our master bath, and the list goes on. I also want to mention that Essi and David were never, ever pushy about anything, and always respected our decisions. Any decision made was our own. They always stayed very professional and diplomatic throughout the entire process. My wife and I were very hands on throughout, and can be quite persnickety at times, but were always treated with the utmost respect from everyone associated with Spazio. From the plumber, to the electrician, to the roofers, to the painters, to the hardwood floor installers, everyone was respectful, pleasant, and absolutely great at what they specialize in! I honestly can't say enough about this company. My wife and I were looking for people that we could trust and we knew from the very beginning that our remodel was going to be done right. Essi and David played different roles throughout the process but were always so responsive with text, email, and/or phone calls. If you're looking for a company that takes pride in their work, look no further, and schedule an appointment with Spazio LA! I can assure you that you will be overjoyed with the results when all is said and done. Well, I think it's time for me to wrap up this review... I have to go enjoy my new house! I couldn't be happier with my new Mid-Century modern kitchen and all the absolutely impeccable work Carissa, David, and the Spazio crews did to make it all come together. Not only am I inspired every morning and night as I work in my kitchen, but it's been over a month, and everything still looks and feels brand new! Finally the day had come when I realized I had enough of my current out-dated kitchen. My neighbor had just finished a gorgeous Mid-Century Modern remodel with Carissa from Spazio and I knew she was the one I needed to collaborate with during my own process. Still, I did get other bids from contractors to compare, which were almost a joke compared with the absolute class, professionalism, price and value I was getting from Spazio; I knew they were the one to take me into this remodel journey. From day one, a schedule was created and into day 15 all the way through the end, it was followed. Carissa knew I had high-end taste and was able to really listen and understand my aesthetic wish list as well as my function needs for much more storage! She took me to the best showrooms and worked with Art, Spazio's highly-skilled custom cabinet maker to design the most gorgeous custom, rift cut walnut cabinetry and layout. She made sure every detail such as grain direction, stain color, finish was perfect for me. This attention to detail happened with all of her tradesmen so that everything was as perfect as possible. When anything came up (as it always does) during the construction process, Carissa, David and the rest of their crews were on it to make it right. I couldn't really have asked for anything more. If you want a company who cares and does beautiful high-end work, I highly recommend Spazio! Thank you, Carissa for helping me make my dreams into reality!

I remodeled two bathrooms last year with another contractor and it was an absolute nightmare! That being said, when I decided to renovate my kitchen I was extremely hesitant to begin the process. I was very fortunate to have hired Spazio LA for the job because it ended up being a stress-free and very positive experience. My Interior Designer/Project Manager Carissa Donsker was exceptional! I knew I couldn’t do the design and management process alone again and she coordinated and managed the entire project from beginning to end. Carissa suggested ideas, layout, materials and colors and made the best use of my limited space. Her keen eye to detail was impeccable. Carissa was available 24/7, responded to emails promptly and was at my home every day to meet with the subcontractors. If there was an issue, Carissa would problem solve and come up with a solution immediately. I was also very impressed that she was always making sure that everything was done in the allotted amount of time. Spazio estimated that the project would take approximately six weeks and I was moving back into my kitchen at six weeks. At the end of the project, I was informed by Spazio that I had an overpayment and they would be reimbursing me within the next few days. I was extremely impressed with their honesty. This is another true testament to their wanting to do what is right for the customer. I never thought before meeting them that the word honest and contractor even existed! Everyone who visits my home compliments my beautiful kitchen. I would definitely recommend Spazio LA and of course Carissa Donsker as your Lead Designer and Project Manager because of the unbelievable service I received. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome and would not hesitate to hire them again for my next renovation.

Overall, Spazio LA did a fantastic job with our bathroom remodel. We are very happy with the results. We were happy with the design consultation and pretty much all of the planning portion of this project. We were also very happy with the care they took to keep our house and furnishing clean, the quality of the work, and with the rate at which things progressed with one large exception: 4 weeks into the renovation, we were 95% complete, and Spazio had made it clear that we had only 2 more days of work to be done. It was at this point that our design/project manager dropped the ball. Vendors arrived unannounced, appts were changed at very last minute notice, and she was tardy to arrive at the home to speak to the contractors. I was there to let them in, and tell them what needed to be done, at times only being able to reach her via text message. Then, when I was visibly stressing about the project's issues and stalling out at the very end, I decided to remove myself from the house to clear my head. She sensed this and texted me, specifically asking me to "air my grievances". When I voiced the concerns mentioned above, I was met with differed blame. All of my grievances were discussed via text message, and they spelled out the facts and issues that had arisen in the past two days and generally expressed that I found one of their vendors (the one we were waiting on to arrive and complete the project) extremely unreliable. While I was offered apologies for the inconvenience and for having to deal with this, there was, I felt, no acceptance or understanding that things could have been handled better by Spazio in those final days. It was, after all, not my responsibility to deal with the contractors directly. Things got even worse the last day of the install, when she accused me of "verbal abusing" her to my husband (her other client!) based off of the solicited "grievances" she had requested, refused to deal with me at all - not in person, via text or phone call- and actually made my husband drive home from work to deal with the final details. It was a shame that the project ended on such a sour note but all that being said, it hasn't stopped us from enjoying our new bathroom. EDIT: Spazio did reach out after my initial review. The owner was appalled at the sequence of events leading up to this communication breakdown and offered to make it right. They have since said that they will not work the the contractor whom I found so difficult to work with. The designer/project manager has since apologized for her actions. I am grateful that they reached out and hope this experience stop this from happening to others in the future.

It was a joy working with Essi and his team. Following is a break down for exactly why we chose them and why we would 100% recommend them. You really do get what you pay for, they are reasonably price, but the value and treatment you get is much greater in return. One of the main reasons why I would recommend his firm and his team is that you would always know what's going on. They communicate thoroughly on progress and explain clearly what each steps involve, including estimated time, budget etc. And if there is ever a new problem, he tries really hard to find a solution for you. Essi really provides a lot of aesthetic input to making your dream house come true. And his team reminds you when you have to be practical on certain decisions. My tip to you: Be clear on your vision or ask him for suggestions, he's a wonderful resource! (Love your ideas and input on our modern home Essi. ) Second reason: trust their vendors! I love all the vendors that Essi had for us, starting from tiles to wood floors, windows, vanities etc. I really like the fact that the qualities are good and the prices are reasonable. I shopped around and compared around, his vendors are wonderful! Third reason: they get their work done, and the quality of their work is great! So our initial anticipated time for our full remodel (about 1950 sq ft.) was about 8-9 months, but they actually finish about 1.5 months early. We were thankful for all their hard work. And the outcome shows in the photos from our remodeled home. Final reason: they are responsible and super reliable. After living in our remodeled home for nearly 3 weeks we've encountered leakage from our water heater and one of the vanity sink. I notified Essi about these things and he sent someone over almost immediately and fixed our problems.

Spazio and Hela are the bomb! Period. Just call them. But in case you want to read more: We hired Spazio to help remodel our master bathroom. We have worked with various contractors in the past (with varying degrees of success), but we really wanted this bathroom to shine. We thought a design/build firm might be the way to go. But after a few meetings, we found very few companies can actually help with the design part and the build part. But Hela, our project manager, was amazing at both. She helped us create a stunning design and managed all of the work crews. The project cost was reasonable and they never tried to increase the bid, even as things changed. Hela was always upfront about costs and she helped give us advice on where to spend and where to save. We were treated like royalty when we went to pick out fixtures, and Hela got us great discounts. We will definitely work with Spazio again. Our new master bathroom is gorgeous!

We hired Spazio to do a full kitchen renovation, interior painting, floor refinishing and electrical work. Lisa was our project manager and couldn't have done a better job seeing the project through, managing the schedule and multiple contractors, sending us daily updates and photos, putting together designs and suggestions. We are a dual earner household and both work long hours during the week, and we were so grateful that we could lean on Lisa to see the work through. She also immediately understood the style we wanted and did the heavy lifting in finding all the elements (lighting, tiles, cabinet pulls, faucets, the list goes on...) to make it all match and fit. She was sensitive to our budget and helped us problem solve situations to make them fit into our budget. Probably the highlight of our work with Lisa was when she found and recommended the tile backsplash - the design is stunning, and she found a way to make this tile work within our budget. We hope to do work in the future in our bathrooms and will ask for Lisa again!

Just finished a big remodel of our kitchen and master suite with Spazio LA. Our project manager, Hela, was very detail oriented. She was on top of the job and often had answers to our questions before we even asked them. The job site was kept clean and workers were respectful of our property. The work was delivered early and on budget. We would definitley work with them again.

I can honestly say that working with Essi and Zack was great and easy. They made the whole process easy from start to finish. They stuck to the agreed upon timeframes and budget. Our remodel was during the Holidays and despite that the crew was always at the site working in a professional matter. We just finished working with the Spazio LA team. From the very beginning we knew they would be able to take our visions and make them real. It was not an easy job with roof structure and supports creating an obstacle in the new floor plan we hoped to achieve. With the help of their architect, Raffi, they were able to create an amazing open concept floor plan. My husband and I were always able to reach either Essi or David when we had questions or concerns. We received weekly updates of the work that was taking place and when inspections occurred. With an addition of over 300 sqft, a conversion of living room to master bedroom and bathroom, and expansion of the kitchen, they were able to complete the work in 14 weeks! Overall, we are extremely happy with the entire Spazio team and loving every aspect of our "new" home!

Spazio LA: a great one stop shop for design + build projects in the LA area! Project: Update a home originally built in 1927 with a rebuild in 1991. Scope of project included full remodel of kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms and a laundry room. Repainted entire interior, upgraded flooring and lighting for nearly the entire house, replaced nearly all windows and updated two fireplaces. Highlights: Excellent communication. Essi and team were prompt to return phone calls, text messages, and emails pretty much 24/7. When progress on the project was being made, they would send updates with pictures. If there was a design decisions needed at the site, they would FaceTime us so we could see real time what was the issue and we were able to resolve quickly. Design partnership. We were pretty hands on with the vision that we had for the house and we wanted a specific look and feel, but we are design novices despite the hours of Houzz/Pinterest scouring and HGTV watching that we do. Essi and team were able to help point us in the right direction, helped with tile, wood, and paint selections that we all ended up loving. We had a million ideas and they helped to focus the ideas into what could be accomplished given our timeline and budget. One stop shop with excellent contacts and subcontractors. Each of the subcontractors we met (painter, electrician, architect etc.) were all thorough, friendly, and seemed to genuinely like working on our project. We utilized Spazio's contacts to purchase all our appliances and fixtures, and tile selections that we would not have been able to source otherwise. True to their word. We never had additional upcharges beyond their initial estimate for the cost of a project. They made it work. From my research, they land in the middle in terms of pricing, but they stay firm with that price which made it much less stressful to budget for since we knew how much the whole project would be from early on. They were also great with setting expectations for timeline on when things would get done. They didn't sandbag, but they didn't over promise either. We were balancing a relocation of our family so we needed to have clear dates to coordinate all the moving pieces, and Essi and team worked extremely hard to help hit our move in date exactly! The end result is a home that we are thrilled and proud to call our own, and family and friends have all affirmed as being beautiful and, more importantly, highly functional for our growing family of five.

We hired Essi and David for our master bathroom and bedroom renovation. We are very happy with the design that they proposed. Essi is very creative with his design. They were always available and very responsive to our input and requests.

SpazioLA did an awesome job for complete remodeling of my new townhouse. My projected started in late July 2015 and everything was completed on the day before Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. As we all know hiring contractors is not always an easy and smooth decision making process and also can be one of the worst experiences from the beginning. When it comes down to it, it’s all about communication between you and your contractors. I have heard some horrendous stories of how awful their experiences were with some “contractors” whom they hired to do the projects. Well, let me tell you one thing, you don’t ever have to worry about that with SpazioLA and their team. They are always available to take your calls and text messages. Sometimes they were not able to talk or discuss issues with me at the very moment only because I called them when they were already in a meeting with other clients, but they always replied back right away about where they were about and when they would call me back and they followed through with it. When I talked to them, they listened to my concerns and questions and provided me with the best solutions they could offer that I was satisfied with. Going back to my project, it was a complete reno, top to bottom, inside and out. re-wiring the entire house, plumbing, relocation of kitchen from the front of the house to the back of the house, updating a bottom floor bathroom with open shower (was only a powder room before), new patio in the back, re-did upstairs bathroom, new windows, list goes on and on. I definitely had some concerns and challenges during renovations, but Essi and David were always available to listen to my concerns and fixed the issues. I know I was very picky with how things should be done with me being the type A person with extreme ISTJ. Essi and David completely understood my views on things. Until today, I am thinking I probably called and texted them at least 7-8 times a day about certain things I was thinking about and shared with them. (I was at the house every single day after work to check on the progress, yes I was, as some would say, “pain in the ass” by checking their work every night, but honestly all home owners should take part in every step of the renovation to understand what’s happening to your own home regardless of how wonderful your contractor is/are). I truly believe no matter whom you hired, you still want to know, NEED to know how things are done and they are done correctly. I know I won’t have to worry about the house due to the fact that I checked everything, checked twice, and/or three times when each task was performed by SpazioLA and their crew and discussed with Essi and/or David in details. I moved into the house on the week before Christmas and loving every minute of it. All my friends and neighbors still talked about how much they love my home. Spazio LA helped us renovate and design our dream home. We met with Essi and David before we made an offer on our house and instantly fell in love with them. They were very realistic with us and noticed things we didn’t see (for example, windows that were leaking and causing damage to walls). After we purchased the house we wanted to do a proper amount of research so we interviewed 6 other contractors. The whole process was a nightmare. Spazio LA was not the cheapest but they wanted to do everything correctly and they had a team of architects, engineers, roofers, painters, electricians, plumbers, etc. We literally needed a team to come in and gut the inside of our house and we didn’t have the time or energy to hire subcontractors. Not to mention, we had never done this before so we had no idea what we were doing. Essi and David met with us several times, late at night to accommodate our work schedule. They always answered their phone or were quick to call us back. They made us feel comfortable and confident knowing the biggest investment of our life was in their hands. David showed us his vision on how to maximize our space and create the house of our dreams. Essi helped us pick beautiful tile, paint, and finished material. I remember one Saturday night Essi and I were sending pics of various sinks to each other. When you hire these guys they are completely invested in your project. They worked tirelessly to get our house done ahead of schedule. They worked on weekends and holidays. Even our new neighbors were impressed with how frequently they were working on our property. In the end Essi and David finished ahead of schedule and did an absolutely amazing job. We could not be more pleased with our beautiful house and they have been very diligent to make sure everything is to our standards. I have several friends and in laws that renovated their houses and all of them hated their contractors by the end of the process. I am not going to lie and say we didn’t ever argue, there were times that we miscommunicated. At the end of the process however, I still love Essi and David and would hire them again in an instant. We had a huge project. We knocked down walls, relocated the kitchen, put in all new plumbing and electrical, redid all the bathrooms, painted inside and outside. Throughout the process they were flexible, understanding, hard working, and easy to work with. We had our Kitchen remodeled by SpazioLA starting in early July 2015 and was completed Nov 6 2015. We have a 4 bedroom home in Burbank built in the 1940s, and we wanted a new kitchen with an open concept and plenty of natural light. Our first obstacle was a load bearing wall that separated the kitchen from the rest of the house. We worked with the project manager and designer on the layout of the kitchen and what would be involved in removing the wall that spanned about 28'. (The length of the kitchen). They answered answered all of our questions and gave us some great advice, so we left everything in their hands. They handled everything from start to finish. Engineering, Architecture, demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, painting, and had a foreman on site for all inspections. They lived up to their word and made any changes we suggested during the process to make us happy. So we used their team for other remodeling work we needed around our home as well. New tile around our fireplace and hearth, An exterior door, window replacement, and we added a skylight in the kitchen. We couldn't be happier with the new kitchen! We started out with a basic idea of what we wanted to remodel in our Master Suite, Hallway and Guest Bathroom. We called a number of contractors to look at the space and give us bids on the job. Spazio LA (David & Essi) quickly setup a meeting and spent over an hour with us to hear what we needed to have done and some of the challenges (timing and pets) that needed to be accommodated. Spazio LA was prompt with their follow-up and provided a detailed written bid and quote for the job. The bid contained detailed information of job and an all-inclusive quote. We added electrical work in the Master Bedroom and a new humidity sensor fan. Spazio LA was not the least expensive quote we received but the level of professionalism, the comfort we felt with both David and Essi sealed the deal. Spazio LA provided needed licenses and insurance documentation so we did not have to continually follow-up with them. David took the time to explain everything in the contract, the process, the projected timeline, and answer all of our questions to ensure we understood everything. All crews and trades were on time or early for their portion of the project. They took care to protect the entryway and hardwood floors leading into the Hallway and Master Suite and installing dust barriers to keep the dust from the rest of the house. David was fantastic about communicating and returning calls, texts, and messages promptly. We liked the fact that both he and Essi were great about communicating with us about who we were expecting, what time they were expected to arrive, and walking us through the entire process. The entire job took about 2.5 weeks that included all of the punch list completion items. This another pleasant experience having work done in our home. When we are ready for our next project, we will call Spazio LA. The quality of work and customer service were great.

We hired SpazioLA recently to remodel a bathroom, laundry room, powder room and part of our kitchen. Essi and David gave us a detailed proposal and methodically went by that so there were no surprises, making amendments along the way. They are organized and pleasant to work with. I like that they listen to what we like and make suggestions based on that. It was very helpful that they took the time to go material shopping with us for fixtures and flooring. Their knowledge, insights and design ideas were definitely an added value to this whole process. Essi has a good sense of design and gave us a lot of great ideas. This remodel was estimated at 6 weeks but was done at 5 upon our request. Essi/David would visit the job site almost every day and kept us informed of the progress. Our satisfaction is of their main concern and they make sure things are done properly. We’re glad to have found such professionals.

I don't usually write reviews but after my condo's renovation I really wanted to express how amazing of an experience I had with the entire team of Spazio LA. I had a general idea of what I wanted my condo to look like, modern yet warm and inviting. Essi came up with a great design and David made sure everything came out as planned. The entire project took about 2.5 months but it was well worth the wait. I was kept informed of every little detail going on during the remodel so that kept me at ease with these guys. I would like to share the great experience that I had with Spazio LA. I always hear about other people having a bad contractor, so I was a little hesitant at first, but, after interviewing 4 different contractors I decided to give Spazio a chance. They seem really genuine when we met at my house andI really liked that they provided a designer to design my bathroon and kitchen. My condo is not really large but I was hoping to have some fresh ideas on how to utilize the space better. Essi the designer was really great with his suggestions, he even provided a computer image of my new kitchen and bathroom. The entire project was really smooth and they were right on top of things. Overall I had a very positive experience and I'm really grateful to the entire team of Spazio.

Me and my husband just completed a bathroom remodel with Spazio LA. Our bathroom was never remodeled so it was stuck in the 30's. We wanted to get a more comfortable layout since the shower was very small with low ceilings and ugly tiles everywhere. David and Essi came up with a great layout and provided us with a 3D design image that looked like a real picture. The entire project was completed in almost four weeks and we are extremely pleased with their workmanship and their professionalism. All the workers were very respectful and cleaned the job site everyday after work. We could not be happier with Spazio LA, we will for sure use their services again in the near future.

We hired Spazio LA to remodel our guest house’s kitchen. We were on a budget since this was not for the main house. Essi and David were very considerate with our budget and designed a simple yet beautiful kitchen. It took 3 weeks from start to finish including replacing the wood floors and painting the walls. We were referred to Spazio LA by a family member and they did not disappoint. We bought a town house in Reseda and we wanted to remodel it completely. We wanted to remove a wall between the living room and dining room so they provided us with engineering details to do so. Essi, the chief designer, designed the open floor plan and created some great built-ins on our living room walls. We remodeled the entire kitchen, three bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. David, the project manager, was super knowledgeable and was periodically visiting the job site checking the work and giving directions to the workers. I also want to mention that we were very impressed with the workers, they had different crews for different trades, and all of them were really clean, professional and cordial. We love our new town house and we are very happy that we chose them.

What an amazing experience we had with the team of Spazio LA! My wife and I bought a house 8 months ago in Pasadena, foreclosure, old and ugly, but we saw potential in it so we went for it. We did not know what to do, where to start and who to hire. We did some research and after interviewing several contractors, we came across Spazio LA by a friend who recommended them to us. Different from the other companies we interviewed, Spazio LA are a full design build firm, so they pretty much did everything for us, from the architectural plans, interior design and the actual remodeling. They pulled the permits for us and basically ran the show from beginning to end. This was a huge relief because my wife and I are super busy during the week. I cannot say enough great things about Essi and David and the entire crew from Spazio LA. They had great energy from the get go, listened to all of our wishes and concerns and came up with an amazing game plan to remodel the entire house. The architectural plans with the permits took about 2 months and they started construction right away. By the time we were ready to start, Essi, the chief designer, had already picked and ordered all the finish materials, so there were no delays in the project. David, the project manager, was on top of all the workers and was really picky with all the final details. The house came out awesome and we will be forever grateful to our new friends form Spazio LA.

We are extremely satisfied with the services provided by Spazio LA’s team. We bought our house in Agoura Hills and wanted to do a lot of changes, our kitchen was small and outdated, the bathrooms really old and the backyard had a lot of potential. My husband and I interviewed several companies but decided to go with Spazio LA. Essi, the chief designer, had amazing ideas and was always listening to us for feedback; he never tried to push his ideas/design concepts and was very patient with us. David, the project manager, was always on top of the project, making sure things were done right and on schedule, he was always reachable and came to our house periodically, they both did as a matter of a fact. We felt that they had a great team of workers and the results are better than expected. I really want to mention that, even though, we always heard that people go over their budget when they do any type of construction, we were really lucky in the sense that they worked with our budget and worked really hard to stay within that budget. We did go over by 6K but that was because I went with more expensive finishes, and I added a couple of changes in the middle of the project. First of all I just want to say… what a pleasure to work with such professional company!! From beginning to end, their presentation, punctuality, attention to details and execution, my husband and I are super impressed with Spazio LA designs. We wanted to expand our house to make a larger master bedroom and larger living room, but our existing layout was kind of strange to say the least. Essi (the chief designer) and his assistant came up with an amazing plan to modernize, expand and make it all flow the right way. After 2 months, exactly 2 weeks less than what they promised the completion date was going to be, I cannot describe how happy we are with our new house. Thank you sooo much!

One of our family members refer us to this company, they had a great experience so we was interested to hire them too. They design the pool aria and all the outdoor, hardscape, BBQ aria. Now our back yard looks like in the movies! We totally love it and will refer them to all people we know. The price was compatible to all other companies that we checked and this one sounds like one who will do the job!

My wife and I bought a home that needed some serious work. We hired Spazio LA to design and build our main living spaces as well as our backyard. They did an amazing job in understanding our family needs and came up with amazing 3d designs to show us their ideas. We fell in love with their concept and we decided to move forward. The entire project took 6 weeks and I feel so lucky that we choose them. They came to the project every day, even Saturdays. Everything happened exactly the way they described it prior to commencing the project. Our house looks better than we envisioned and our kids enjoy their backyard every day.

We did several projects with Spazio LA, we heard so many bad stories about contractors that we wanted to hire a designer build company that will also manage the project. We also wanted to one project first to assess the results and then do all the rest of the things we wanted in the house. We finally did a new open floor kitchen with custom cabinets, a master bedroom and master bathroom, a guest bathroom and an office. First of all I would like to say that my house now looks amazing. I really can’t believe that this is our home. We waited so many years to do these changes and now it finally came true. I have to give all the credit to the team from Spazio LA, I was very impressed with their design services and attention to details. I am super picky and Essi , the chief designer was pickier than me... So I felt extremely comfortable not involving myself in every detail of the project. The architect did the plans within days, and we got the city permits the same week. David, the project manager, managed the project as if it was his home. The crew was amazing and we finished the kitchen on time and on budget. But most importantly, we love the design and craftsmanship of their work; you can tell they build high end homes for a living. My husband and I purchased a town-home four-plex building that was in a really poor condition. We wanted to give the building a better look as well as update all the units. We hired Spazio LA and they came up with a design plan and in almost 4 months they transformed the building, our new tenants are really happy and paying top dollars for rent compared to other units in the area. The town-homes are beautiful and hip, and the craftsmanship is really great. They managed the project flawlessly and the work was performed as promised and on schedule, their work ethics was outstanding and we are definitely going to use them again on our next project.

After purchasing our new home we wanted to modernize the house since it was still stuck in the in the 50's. They came up with an amazing 3D concept design for each space that we wanted to remodel. They managed the project from the contractor to the finish materials and with the final decoration of the home. Our house looks amazing and our kitchen is, now, huge and has an island to die for. They recommended a Calcutta quartz material that makes the kitchen look like a showpiece from a designer showroom. Our master bathroom is like a high end spa at a five star hotel. We are really thankful to the team from Spazio La for making our home an amazing place for our family.
