7/28/23 ***Updated to remove the progress photos from the initial review date since more repairs have been made, and to add a star for good workmanship of the subcontractors.***
We found this company through our homeowners' insurance company. After an initially good first impression, my husband contracted with them on April 7 of this year to repair severely damaged bathrooms.
In the course of the four month job, we have a repaired ceiling and one operational full bathroom.
We are covering the remainder of the contract elsewhere.

Comment from Moses Construction, Inc.:
The following is a factual timeline of events pertaining to this project. The timeline will show the claims made in this review are FALSE. This customer has an unrealistic and unreasonable expectation of the time needed for insurance company approvals and the permit process. The rough building inspection was completed on the morning of July 19th. Insulation and sheetrock crew arrived that afternoon. Crews worked daily including Saturday and Sunday to get the guest bathroom and main level completed.
Claims made regarding money paid is false and misleading. The customer paid the deposit per contract then paid two large change orders for addtional electrical and plumbing repairs. Most of this cost was covered by insurance and paid by insurance.
Due to the constant malicious actions of this customer and lack of integrity, my company will not be completing any addtional work for this customer.

Moses Construction was very attentive in the estimate phase. Unfortunately, that did not hold true. Our project was set to begin on July 5th. They did not actually begin work until mid September. The excuse was that they were waiting for the concrete company. The weather was beautiful, so there was no excuse for concrete other than poor management by the builder.
When work finally began, they just decided to look at the architect's drawings and discovered that some dimensions needed to be corrected. This delayed work an additional 2 weeks. Why did this not get done in the previous 2 and a half months. Finally work began nearly 3 months late.
Work was progressing and we reached the point of having the foundations poured for our front porch and rear screen porch. We were having a stamped pattern imprinted on the porches. Instead of the showpiece porches that we paid for, they botched the job. The builder said that they were going to resolve the problem. They never did. It has been 7 months. Now I am having to hire someone else to fix the problem.
Next, we had an issue with our master bath tile. We wanted a shower that was curbless with an accent strip running around the shower to be centered on the window at the back of the shower. Both items were not achieved. The accent strip was centered on one side, but was an inch low on the other. The curbless shower ended up being 2 inches on one side and sloping down to an inch on the other side off the opening. I have never seen a shower doorway that slopes. The entire shower had to be demolished and redone. During the demolition process, we discovered that they failed to water proof properly. This would have cause major issues within 5 years.
Due to requirements from our HOA, we had to change how we were going to have brick installed on our home. We were going to just have a 3 foot high water table around the entire house. The HOA only allows brick on the front of the home. We decided to add brick and stone to the entire front of the house. The builder forced us to have her do it at a cost over $8000 more than other estimates that I obtained, so that she would be able to warranty the work. The builder never finished the work and abandoned our project all together. Now I have no warranty and multiple issues that I have to pay additionally to repair.
I would avoid this company at all cost.

My husband and I did a major kitchen renovation this fall/winter with Shannon Moses/Moses Construction. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly pleased we were with everything about working with her. We heard so many nightmares about contractors and I feel like we completely lucked out finding her! Shannon was ALWAYS available to us when we had questions and always got back to us right away. The original bid she gave us for the project was by far the best quote we received AND what she said the price would be was exactly what it ended up being. And, we stayed right on schedule and the craftsmanship was wonderful. I have an AMAZING kitchen now because of Shannon. She exceeded every expectation and we couldn't be more thankful. I truly feel like anyone would be lucky to hire her.

Shannon Moses did an excellent job on my kitchen remodel. My project came out beautifully and with no surprises to costs or timing. Shannon and her crews were always courteous and professional. I never had an issue getting in touch with them whether for questions or to work around my travel schedule. Working with Shannon was like hitting the "Easy" button - never a request or suggestion that she didn't say "not a problem, we will make it happen". I highly recommend her and would use Moses Construction again without a doubt!

We had a wonderful experience and our renovation added so much pleasure and value to our home. We had our kitchen redone including a wall knocked out, a covered deck added, the master bath redone, and all new paint and flooring in the house. Also had a new roof completed. Shannon was always available for us to talk with, make changes, and consult. Her workers were respectful and did an excellent job. There was always consideration that we had to live in the house as it was renovated. The house is so much more enjoyable and easy with entertaining. We would recommend her to anyone interested in completing their home for them to enjoy for a lifetime.

Moses construction completed a remodel for my house which included closing our two story foyer and kitchen updates. It was a big undertaking. We decided on Moses because Shannon had the most professional and detailed estimate for the job as well as being extremely knowledgable. She had great ideas and guided us through the many decisions that come along with such a big project. She also ended up acting as a liaison for us with the kitchen company who did our cabinets. I felt like Shannon had our best interest at heart and was always available. They did a great job-our new family room is beautiful and more functional. She also added a bedroom with a bathroom and laundry room to our new space upstairs. It all came out great. She even got our counters done before the holidays after the original fabricators told us it would not be finished on time. She made it happen for us! She had great workers for all aspects of the job. We have called her for two other house issue since (both requiring immediate attention) and she came through both times. I have recommended her to friends who are planning remodels. She can do it all.

Moses Construction did a wonderful job on our $4450,000 transformation/renovation of a single story ranch in 2004. They met our needs, stayed within our budget and finished the project on time.
In 2006, when we moved they were hired for another $60,000 project to renovate our Bathrooms & Kitchen. They replaced our flooring, windows & doors. I highly recommend you meet them and see how they can help you with your project.

I used Moses construction for two projects at my residence. I am very pleased with both the results and the experience with Moses Construction. Shannon Moses and her crew were excellent. They listened to me were very flexible with changes as the projects moved along and completed both projects on time. I would recommend Moses Construction without hesitation to anyone needing work done on their home.

They did quality work on the house. They handled most of the issues with the insurance company. They came back and corrected anything we were not happy with. Also, as a bonus they painted all the inside of the house which was not required by the insurance company.

Moses Construction really saved us after a burst pipe. Onsite for water damage mitigation within hours of the burst, and stayed with us through a significant terrace-level renovation. Could not have provided better service - fast, thorough and excellent communication through the process. A strong recommend!

We hired Moses Construction to take over when another contractor failed to finish and were so impressed we are using then to renovate our whole house. A lot of the finishes we have wanted have been a little out of the norm, but Shannon has so far always had a way to make it happen. Our kitchen has inset cabinets ( not the norm) honed slate ( hard to find) and super long runs of barnwood (nonexistent). She did it all and more. We are really looking forward to ripping out our funky Master bed and bath in March. We know it will be done right.

We hired Moses Construction after we were the victims of a fraudulent, unlicensed contractor. That's a long story but the short version is that the 2nd-story bump-out master bathroom addition that he started to build was a complete disaster, repeatedly failed framing inspection with the city, and had to be completely torn down. Needless to say, we fired him.
Shannon Moses came to our rescue with a comprehensive plan and design for the bathroom addition and our other remodeling projects. Although we were understandably shaken and paranoid from our previous nightmarish experience, Shannon Moses earned our trust with her professional, prompt communication and her commitment to making everything 100% right. She made some great design suggestions which helped improve upon our original vision. Her quality of work was very good overall, especially her tile crew and her painting/carpentry crew. Although there were tweaks and corrections that needed to be made from time to time, she was very responsive and had everything taken care of to our satisfaction.
We are very happy we chose Moses Construction and we would not hesitate to hire Shannon Moses again for any future remodeling needs.
