As an Interior Designer, my goal is to understand your interpretation of style and comfort, then to understand the space in which you dwell and its opportunities. When the livable and stylish solutions are unified, that’s when the magic happens. You, surrounded by a space you love to live in! No matter the size of the project I have always felt that my clients deserve individualized attention and detailed service which answer their personal needs to function with comfort and ease in their home. The design process should be just as enjoyable and inviting as the finished space. With over 25 years of experience, I have worked in many environments refining a very unique perspective of the Interior Design world. After earning my degree, I started at retail level for Ethan Allen. Early on, I was able to hone my design and communication skills through client interaction, proposals and product development; to enhance my knowledge of scheduling, coordinating multi-faceted jobs, working with factories and workrooms, providing clients expertly crafted finished products to enjoy in their homes. I evolved further as a Project Manager; training and overseeing designers’ projects, assisting them to develop their skills and to produce beautiful spaces for their clients. I was fortunate to experience the design scene through the eyes of very dedicated and authentic craftsman. These artisans are creating reproduction products and articles for period homes. I admired the sense of attention, customizing and honesty to the trade. Seeing antiques take a fresh breath, new tile glazed to be installed perfectly 100 yr old fireplaces, hand painted friezes lovingly tooled to commit to the history and to the fathers of design and decoration. As I have journeyed into my own business, learning from people involved in design, I am consistently in awe of what goes on behind the velvet curtains. What an excitement to reveal the plans and schemes we have diligently worked come to fruition through skill and dedication. However, I have gained more knowledge from my clients than anyone else. You open not only your doors to me, but your lives. I owe you my best skills and honest approach at every part of the process. And such elation when I present back to you, your home, just as you dreamed.
