Standard Paint and Flooring

My husband and I met Kate while building our home. We can't say enough good things about Kate and all the help she gave us. I felt it was going to be a challenge to bring together our design and color tastes, but Kate was able to blend what we each liked perfectly. She has a wonderful eye at putting it all together. She was open and honest with costs and answering all our questions during the process. She always had time for us even when we just dropped by with a question. Kate is awesome, along with all the staff at Standard Paint. We would hands down recommend her for any home project. We could not have done it without her! We are so thankful!!!!!

Kate was able to completely repurpose a 1,000 square feet of living space into a family friendly space. What started as a simple kitchen remodel, turned into an open concept kitchen with a cozy office space, a new mud room, and a cozy living room. It amazed me how she was able to create a design that touched on all the aspects my husband and I wanted. She was able to provide us options in our home that were both functional, family friendly but also modern and chic.

We were blessed with competency and professionalism with Kate Loeb. Kate spent several appointments with us to be sure we loved the choices for our new home. Kate allowed plenty of time during our appointments. Kate showed us many new ideas and kept us on budget. I recommend her to everyone who is building or remodeling. What a fantastic experience we have had with Kate!! We started designing a house with no direction or idea how to get to what we wanted. Kate was able to help us get our ideas on paper. She has been incredibly helpful for the last year and a half that we have been working on this project. The attention is personal and tailored to my wife and I. We are super excited to see our dream house coming to life! She has worked to help us stay within our budget. I have referred everyone I know going through the process of building or remodeling and will continue to do so. We are incredibly impressed with what she has done for us!

I sing Kate’s praises during every tour of our house. Seriously, I can’t imagine our custom home project without her. I suppose like most folks, I have strong opinions about what I want - until I am guided to an even better option. It was Kate’s knack for improving upon our preferences that made all the difference. I was sure I wanted white trim, and likely would have ordered white cabinets. Kate suggested an elegant Irish cream color for the trim and cabinets, thereby allowing us to paint all of the walls a warm white. I absolutely love it! As I shared with Kate the week we moved in: I don’t think I’ll ever need or want to change the paint scheme. I can play with color in furniture and artwork to my heart’s content. We have lived in our home for nearly a year now and I remain as thrilled with our selections as the day(s) Kate helped us to find them (truly, all of them: counter tops, tile, cabinet pulls, flooring…). I should mention that Kate was able to work within our budget, too. Yakima is lucky to have Kate!

She was able to put together the exact look we were wanting and helped us see all the possibilities. Incredible service Does exist! When I started the process of picking out new paint and floors for my home, I was overwhelmed and intimidated because of my experiences around town. I decided in haste to try one more store, Standard. What a difference. So refreshing to be spoken to with respect and kindness and not feel rushed to make a decision. To have quality items to choose from but not feeling like they were completely out of reach. Jennifer was absolutely the sweetest person to work with. Always called or emailed right away whenever something changed or I had a question about something new and always, always made my kiddos feel welcome there no matter how often I’d show up trying to decide on something . She’s a gem. And everyone I met along the way was the same. Even The paint guys were so very helpful. I made the mistake of purchasing carpet from their competitors just because they had what I needed in stock just a few days before thanksgiving. I regretted the decision immediately. Not only were they unhelpful. They couldn’t even be kind. When I showed them the stains on the brand new carpet from the fork lift that they’d missed in cuttting our piece. It took weeks to handle. So my hurry and rush not only wasn’t done in time and with someone I’d rather not give my money to, but also was treated as an annoyance as tho the black fork lift stains on the brand new roll of white carpet were my fault. I will not make that mistake again. I will not take my business or my home interior shopping anywhere else. Standards wins on all accounts!

Katie went out of her way to make sure the cabinets were to our expectations. Our counter tops were installed on time and under budget. We had a contractor back out of our remodel just days before we started and she was able to find a contractor to do the job with a moments notice. Remodeling is hard but she was always there when needed her.

This store is excellent, both services and products. They are not the cheapest, but their qualify and customer service are among the best. Although they usually use independent contractors for installing whatever, our experience has been that the people they used are really top grade.

Great service and install. On time and with-in budget. They have fortified there product selection and service department to provide excellent choices for the consumer.

Your store was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Expertise level and willingness to provide great advice during the purchasing phase was outstanding. The installation went extremely well, with an installer who truly cared about the quality of his work. We will definitely work with you again next time we have a project in your wheelhouse! DN
