We hired Steven Marc Wasserman to help us remodel the first floor of our home because, honestly, we had no idea where to even begin. After our first meeting, we both looked at each other and said, “Yep… he’s the guy.” Steven immediately picked up on our tastes and style—maybe even better than we knew them ourselves. He kept us in our comfort zone just enough, but also nudged us into new ideas and looks we never expected to love. (Who knew we’d have opinions about fixtures?) What really stood out was how fun the whole process was. Remodeling can be stressful, but Steven somehow made each step feel like an adventure. We actually found ourselves looking forward to design meetings—something we never thought possible. My wife and I would gladly recommend Steven for any remodeling or design project. He made our home better, kept us laughing, and turned a daunting project into a genuinely enjoyable experience.

We found Steve on Houzz to work on our remodel project in our den. He is very easy to work with - honest with his opinions but not pushy in anyway. Steve has an exceptional eye for what will work in a room. He came up with several designs for us to choose from and we selected the one we liked the best. We had several visits with him to furniture distributors finding the pieces that would work with our needs. Throughout construction he was available for opinions and suggestions and was expert in choosing a paint color for the walls. Now that construction is complete we have started to get our new furniture delivered and we are thrilled with the way the room looks. We have appreciated his direction and guidance throughout this process.

My 2 bedroom 2 bath condo had no specific style or personality and it was dull and lifeless until Stephen worked his magic. We concentrated on the opened kitchen and living room. Steven drew five plans placing the furniture in different ways. He gave me some time to picture which configuration felt right to me. He gave me his opinion, as he did with furniture later, he never pushed. Steven listened closely and patiently to all my concerns. He also went with several of my suggestions, leaving his ego behind. I met Steven Wasserman ,based on the recommendation of several friends. We had moved into a new condo development and had to combine furniture from several homes. I had never worked with an interior designer before. Steven made the process easy. He understood my goals and vision. I Met Steven over a year and half ago. We started by just wanting to do only one room in my house; Now a year later we have done and the whole house and have a new project starting in Florida. Steven is really great to work with. He loves what he does and it shows. He is warm and personable and wants to get to know and your family (to understand your true needs on top of your wants). He wants to get things rights and he does. He advocates for you, even after the purchase is complete. He guides you (and does a great job of doing that) and does not take it personally if you decide to head in a different direction. He heads in that direction with you. Steven is worth every cent he gets paid. Not only does he not go overboard on his hourly charges, he passes along the discounts he receives at the different stores he takes you too. He saves you money way in excess of his fees. We essentially had a whole house to fill and had no idea really where to start and Steven made it not feel overwhelming. I was introduced to Steven by a friend. I had already started decorating my apartment. I asked him to pull it all together and order the remaining items I needed. He was wonderful. Steven is always there when you need him. He answers texts and calls in a timely manner. He is understanding of your needs, He always provided me with options. We are almost done with my apartment. Steven is incredibly professional to work with. He has an excellent eye for coordinating pieces and colors, and has an especially acute eye for placement of pieces in the rooms he’s designing. I felt comfortable every step of the way expressing my personal tastes and budget comfort for each item or piece we selected. Steven has excellent taste but was willing to show me some very high end showrooms and pieces, as well as more moderately priced ones when the situation arose for that as well. Steven had excellent design vision at the start of the projects we work on, and was able to shift that vision seamlessly as needed while we were in the midst of the process. I wouldn’t want to take on any future projects alone or with any other designer than Steven Marc Wasserman Interior Design.

I cannot speak highly enough of Steven. I had a great experience with him renovating my master bath and giving my kitchen a mini-upgrade. Steven has a great eye and can put together truly beautiful rooms, but what I enjoyed most about working with Steven was how confident I was throughout this entire process that I was making good decisions. A few reasons for this: 1. Steven works with high quality vendors and selects high quality items, but always worked very comfortably within my budget - there were times when I would find something very expensive that I loved (for instance the world's most expensive backsplash) - he would let me know that it was great, we could find something similar, and it would cost a lot less, and it did, while still being quality 2. Steven worked closely with my contractor, he vetted any design ideas through him to make sure they were feasible and met with him at length to ensure the design and vision we had in mind came to fruition 3. Steven was available when I needed him to be - via phone, email, text, in-person - he was ready to talk me through various options and help me make decisions It was a pleasure working with Steven, I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family, and if ever I am renovating again, he will be my first call.

Steven was referred to me by a family friend and the decorating results achieved in my home far exceeded my expectations. Steven first provided consulting on the redecorating of my dining room, coordinating paint, paper and flooring while making the best use of my existing furniture. The room had a clean, crisp look and all well within my budget. The following year, Steven worked with me on redecorating my living room with the same approach. As this was a large space he took me through the changes step-by-step, creating a road map with a clear direction on the purchases I wanted/needed to complete the room. Again, the room was transformed into something I could not have imagined, and all within my budget. Steven makes decorating a fun experience. He has an excellent eye for design and an enthusiastic personality. He takes your ideas to heart and wants the project to reflect your personal taste. He works tirelessly to find just the right piece or fabric to match your preference and style. He has a great sense of space, floor plan and color. Most of all, his attitude is always positive. If you don't like something he shows you, he does not try to change your mind or tell you that what you want is a mistake - he just says, we'll keep looking. I have worked with decorators in the past, but they all seem to feel that you should not interfere with their vision - Steven wants your home to be yours. Steven previously decorated three rooms on the main floor in my house. So when I decided to redecorate my children's bedrooms it was obvious we would need Steven's services. He listened to what my children wanted, what I wanted, and our budget. My daughters' room is beyond what I expected. It is feminine, stylish, and young. Just beautiful. My son's room is one that I would like to sleep in myself. He is certainly an expert in this field and knows exactly how to choose wallpaper, lighting fixtures, furniture, bedding, window treatments and paint colors. He doesn't leave any detail out!

Steven helped me decorate my home and make it look finished and polished. Once I purchased several of my big pieces of furniture, I needed help bringing it all together. To begin, when my husband & I started to build our custom house, we realized that we should have a professional designer. The first designer we interviewed was Steven and my husband hired him immediately. After the interview, I asked my husband why he didn't meet with other designers. His response was " I have a good feeling about him". BOY was he right... Starting with working with the blueprints, putting on a hard hat and visiting the construction site, Steven guided us through the entire process. When it came to decorating the interior, he listened to our needs, ideas, budget, including incorporating into the design things that we already owned. Steven was a pleasure to work with, never pressuring us with making a decision that we were not comfortable with. His knowledge of design resources is incredible, saving money for his clients. Steven Wasserman created a beautiful environment within our home; one that has stood the test of time in that it is as visually pleasing and comfortable as the day he designed it. We purchased a newly constructed two story condo with master bed and bath on the main floor. He was with us all the way from the construction phase including plumbing and electrical work as well as choosing interior finishings and to completion. He worked with the builders rep and helped us make important decisions, always respecting our feelings and our needs. He has followed up with us and has remained available to answer questions and give advice. Steven is visionary! He has created beautiful home environments for not only my home, but my daughter's 2 homes , and other members of my family who also have hired Steven over the last decade. He is very patient providing options, really listening to you! I had heard so many stories from clients and friends about interior designers not considering the clients input that i was reluctant to hire a design firm but did decide to interview four that came highly recommended and was lucky enough t have met Steven probably 25 years ago. The first home that he worked with me on was in Crested Butte Colorado. Then came my apartment in Manhattan and lastly Boca Raton Florida. He was able to make the apartment in Colorado a rustic mountain environment. In New York the apartment is very traditional and Florida is contemporary . I found Steven able to focus on three different styles with the greatest combination of swaying me and incorporating things that were important to me. Ofcourse, after working with him all of these years we have become friends and I would not hesitate to recommend him . Needless to say I cannot answer the project dates as I was a work in progress for many years.

I have worked with Steven on my house for over 15 years. Our first experience with Steven was the refurbishing of my den and dining room. My husband and I decided to do a major addition and renovation to our home and Steven's advice was invaluable. His choices and suggestions for my fabulous kitchen and three bathrooms was totally in sync with my aesthetic. He is readily available to shop with or without me and always returned calls promptly. I never had to feel that I was out of touch. We subsequently redecorated the master bedroom (which my children and grandchildren all seem to gravitate to) and another bedroom I now use as a guest room. Our newest project is my living room. Can't imagine doing anything in the house without his advice. We do a fair amount of entertaining and everyone just loves to hang out at our home.
