My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

We are an interior design studio offering a range of services from 2 Hour Design Consultations to spark ideas and offer advice to full multi-room re-designs, project management, procuring and styling. Working with the clients objectives we aim to enhance your environment in a considered way. We offer an accessible, collaborative service so the client always feels fully involved in the final design. As an independent property consultant, we can also create a bespoke strategy for our clients whether that be to stage their property and sell or let it, advise on increasing the value of their property through considered renovations and design, searching for a forever home or investment portfolio or executing a beautiful interior design scheme for your home or business. This personalised approach not only gets results but allows me to support and advise you though your property dilemmas. I will ensure to maximise your property’s potential in line with your goals. I know how beneficial a carefully curated first impression can be in a successful sale or let through my years in prime real estate and seeing thousands of initial reactions. Equally as important, is inhabiting a beautiful and functional space that reflects your personality, family or brand through a considered interior design scheme. Maximising a property’s potential is also about it loving living in it, feeling supported in your environment and adoring every room you walk into. Before becoming an Interior Designer I got a few years under my belt working for high-end international designer furniture and lighting brands giving me detailed product knowledge. From working as a consultant to the architects and designers across the hospitality, retail, workplace and residential design sectors, I will be able to expertly select and procure the perfect pieces for your space. Studio Ember has materialised as a combination of my interior design and real estate experience and I look forward to combining this experience for you on your next project, sale or property search.

I'm so lucky to have found Chess for much needed interior design help for my new kitchen and existing downstairs living room, hallway and bathroom. She has done the most amazing job helping to transform my home into somewhere I can enjoy living as well as being so very patient and organised. I'll be asking for help with the upstairs rooms too next year! Thank you Chess!!

We moved into a military house and could not see past the depressing interior - I actually regretted moving once I saw the state of it. Luckily for us, Chess came to the rescue! We were totally overwhelmed and at a loss with where to start but she very patiently guided us through the process of decorating the whole house - both the design side and the practicalities. I honestly don't know where we'd be had she not done such an amazing job of transforming the place into somewhere we now genuinely love living. As well as having an inspired eye for design, she is extremely proactive and an exceptional project manager - her commitment to providing her clients with the best service was evident from the first consultation right down to selecting accessories for each room. I couldn't recommend Chess enough, would give more than 5 stars if possible!

I recently commissioned Francesca for a two hour design consultation to help inspire the design in three of the downstairs rooms in the house we recently moved into. From the first email, Francesca worked to build rapport and understand how we live, the things we cherish and what we’d like our home to feel like, and by the time we met in person I felt she already had a strong sense of design direction! The consultation itself was really fun, collaborative and creative. Francesca has proposed ideas I’d have never come up with, but also given me confidence to push ahead with things I was tentative about. The design report that followed a couple of days later has become my bible for online and in person shopping trips, and as I continue to bring the rooms to life over the next few months, it’s Francesca I have to thank for that extra design magic that’s already emerging. I’ll definitely be engaging Francesca again for the rest of the house!

Francesca helped us decorate our 60s townhouse house in Henley and we couldn’t be happier. From redesigning and managing building work on an upstairs bathroom that required a full renovation, to sourcing lamps, cushions and other pieces to round out our existing furniture in the living room and bedrooms, she was always on point. Her managing of every stage of the process was as smooth and efficient as possible, no small feat in this era of supply chain issues and labour shortages - it really took the stress out of the job. We especially appreciate that she really understood the brief and our aesthetic while also pushing us to try things we couldn’t have thought of ourselves. The space still feels like ours - but better - and visitors now always remark on how beautiful the house feels. Thanks, Studio Ember!

Our house is a new build and we really struggled to give it any character... until Chess arrived! She completely opened up our eyes to how we could make our new and modern living room get some personality. She introduced different textures, worked with our select few, preferred colours and she even managed to make it all work around my Grandma's old armchair which previoulsy stood out like a sore thumb. Our living room was also a space for the children's toys and play area and we needed help combing these two uses. Chess helped us separate the space so we now feel like we have a grown up area alongside a space for all the kids tut - which now all has it's own place - dreamy!

I didn't know my flat needed attention until Francesca worked on it! Francesca completely transformed my 2-bed London flat into a stylish, modern and bright living space. She was sensitive to my brief and with a few choice pieces and some help making decisions I wouldn't have considered otherwise, I now have a home that makes me happy every time I work through the door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Studio Ember if you'd like to revamp your home, need some guidance or simply don't have the time to deal with a new project! Eliot.
