My secondary living space was not in compliance with city code. I needed an architect to draw plans asap under a tight deadline. Thankfully, a friend referred me to Thomas. He promptly called the city to understand their requirements, came to my home, researched the ever-changing building codes, correctly challenged a few of their opinions, and helped me navigate the process to make the space compliant. He took the stress out of my situation. He delivered excellent drawings ahead of schedule and within our agreed upon budget. Highly recommend Thomas Walker for any of your home renovation design or permitting needs. He has been instrumental in figuring out all the ins and outs of my log house renovation project including design layout and coordinating with the county for any and all permitting needs. He has also been instrumental as a go-to resource to answer any questions that have come up along the way. My project is a 2000 square foot log house that was built in the 80's but never finished or permitted at that time, it had been sitting and being used as an outbuilding for 30 odd years and needed a lot of work to meet modern code requirements and my own personal requirements. I was looking for someone deeply experienced in technical domains, (architecture, construction, and fabrication) to fit the requirements of my custom home, the Galer Street House. Thomas was tasked with production of the interior custom cabinetry and associated custom woodworking. From our first meeting, Thomas’s communication, experience and broad background gave me confidence that he would understand the complex geometries and be able to deliver the high-end quality needed for this application. From the custom handmade walnut cabinets, custom furniture-like features and being always available to help me when the details needed his attention, he delivered. I was not disappointed.
