Dave and crew were wonderful to work with. Had vinyl plank installed in a downstairs room, staircase carpeted and hardwood installed everywhere upstairs to match the living room and kitchen's original hardwood. Original hardwood was refinished to match new hardwood. Price was very fair and project was completed sooner than expected. Communication from Dave and crew was outstanding throughout the process. We would not hesitate to work with Sunshine again!

I have been telling friends that working with David/Sunshine Flooring was the easiest, smoothest, most efficient, high quality construction project I have ever done! I would recommend them to anyone. Communications were clear and expedient, job completed is excellent. I had a mold /water issue and felt insurance hadn't allotted enough money to redo the floors. I was planning to do the installation myself as I had with the old floors but called Sunshine to get a bid and as soon as I met David, I could feel I was in the right hands AND his bid was just about what the insurance was giving me!

Sunshine did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors, going from a dark ebony stain to a natural stain that lightened up the whole house. Dave was a pleasure to work with. Communication was clear. I would definitely work with Sunshine again.

Dave and his team from Sunshine Flooring did an outstanding job for us in our home in Southern Marin. We wanted to replace carpet in our master bedroom and hallway with hardwood that matched our floors in other parts of our home. Dave found a precise match for the wood, installed the material with an undercut of our baseboards and navigated some tight angles and transitions. The project was completed on time and on budget with outstanding results!

Sunshine Flooring was fantastic from start to finish. David arrived on the day I called and walked us through the estimate. We received an estimate within couple of days and the work was scheduled according to our convenience. They arranged for the movers who were wonderful, cheerful, lots of fun. The floor crew was incredible. So professional and nice and efficient. They really were experts. We are truly delighted with the work Sunshine provided.

Sunshine came in and gave us a brand new floor in just 5 days. They even worked over the 4th of July holiday to get it done. We could not be happier with the floor or the installation.

Sunshine refinished my vintage 1960's maple floor. It now looks truly beautiful. The crew worked diligently all day, every day, to get it done in the least possible time, and they paid attention to many details -- scratches, gouges, nail heads, etc. They were neat and clean and there was no damage at all to my house. They sealed off the kitchen and when they were done there was very little dust. David, the owner, was prompt at responding to my request for a proposal and scheduling the work. He was very honest and straightforward about what to expect -- it is a big, disruptive job, there is no doubt about it! But worth the disruption.

I hired Sunshine Flooring to replace my cherrywood staircase. This included building and installing a skirt board base as well as the stairs. The original contractor that I hired did a horrible job building my staircase and I was not sure if I could find a company who could replace my stairs to match the color of my hard wood floors. I read many reviews about the excellent work of Sunshine Floors so I decided to take a chance and hire them. Owner David Gilbert impressed my wife and I immediately upon meeting him. He has exceptional knowledge of hardwood flooring and gave us the confidence that they could do the job right. Dave and his crew (Chino/Lorenzo) did an amazing job. Their attention to detail, quality work product, cleanliness and expert craftsmanship is top notch. The staircase and skirt board they built for me was perfect. The two-tone stair treads and skirt board was skillfully and artfully cut and installed. The color matched seamlessly with my original flooring. My wife and I could not have imagined a more beautifully built staircase. They are one of best contractors that I have ever hired. If you want to hire the best, call Sunshine Flooring and ask for David Gilbert. They will impress you. I am a very picky customer with extreme OCD so many contractors do not impress me. Sunshine did! Professionalism, reliability and expert craftsmanship is hard to find. Sunshine Flooring is the best!

Dave and his team did an amazing job installing our wood floors when we moved into our home five years ago so when our dishwasher leaked and our floors were damaged we were pretty bummed. After a quick call to Dave, he assured us they could patch the damaged floors and make it look as good as new. Once the water damage was cleaned and the dishwasher repaired, Dave's team arrived as soon as the floors were in to patch up the floor. They did a great job, were extremely professional and the team wore masks and kept a social distance from our family (including our 3 young kids) the whole time. The kitchen floor now looks as good as new. I'd highly recommend Sunshine Flooring for any project. They are professional, do excellent work, and are overall a joy to work with.

We had luxury vinyl planks installed throughout our 1700sqft house. They look great. We had many questions going into and during the project. David was very responsive and helpful. They price was very fair compared to some other bids we got.

We had the pleasure of working with Dave to finish our front deck that I did a terrible job of sanding and weatherproofing a couple years ago. His team did an amazing job and our deck is so nice I almost don't want visitors to walk on it. Would highly recommend Sunshine Flooring for any job, inside or out.

I have a very difficult sunken seating area in my living room that I wanted to have hardwood flooring installed. Sunshine Flooring was the only company I called that said they could install the flooring there. They did a beautiful job and I would recommend them to anyone.

The hardwood planks were installed well. After pointing out that the staining was not to my expectations, Dave refinished the entire floor. I budgeted the time to complete the project with Sunshine fully aware of my goals. The job completion slipped out over one week. So after some initial hiccups, I am pleased.

Dear All I have used Sunshine flooring now several times. Most recently they redid all of our floors at our house. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dave and his company. They are thoughtful and professional with great service at an affordable price. If you are thinking of any flooring work I promise you you cannot do better than Sunshine. I have used many contractors over the years and they are simply the best I have worked with.

Dave and his team did an excellent job for us. His great service started with a detailed walk-through of flooring options in San Rafael at the Sunshine office. We opted to match and extend our current floors instead of replacing our floors. Sunshine was the only company able to find a match to our current floors, since we have floors with an antique width from the 1940s. Even so, they had to do a fair amount of custom work on our floors including custom ripping some of the boards to a manual width. The work was all done very well, as well as on time and on budget. We love our new floors. Dave has high integrity, as well as being personable and friendly. I heartily recommend him.
