I've had the honor of working on three Sovereign projects, including Todd's personal home. His attention to detail is outstanding and the houses he creates are truly homes. Somehow, Todd manages to build homes that feel up to date yet still classic, designs that stand the test of time. He is courteous and respectful -- I would certainly hire him for my own personal projects and will not hesitate to refer my design clients to Sovereign. I think it would be hard to find a better builder in Western Mass!

When we decided to design a home for our family, we knew choosing a builder would likely be the most important decision of the entire process. Experience, attention to detail and organization were at the top of our list but we also wanted a builder who'd be willing to work collaboratively with us. Sovereign quickly stood out among the options and after meeting Todd it was clear Sovereign Builders was the best fit. From the beginning Todd was engaged and proactive; he outlined a schedule and largely stuck to it (even with the challenges of COVID which necessitated having only one crew working on site at a time). This was important not just to keep the project moving but it also allowed us to prioritize which decisions had to be made when. Additionally, Todd was always ready to point out options we may not have been aware of and was an invaluable resource of information and advice. To a person the Sovereign team is top notch, professional and respectful; when compared with builders we've worked with previously, they've stood out for their expertise and efficiency. Even after completing the project, Todd's stayed in contact with us and is always ready to help with any questions or touch ups. He takes obvious personal pride in his work and we couldn't be happier with every aspect of our new home. If you're looking for a builder, you'd be hard pressed to find an outfit as professional as Sovereign that offers the same level of personal attention and craftsmanship.

In 2019 we looked at building a house in a small development in Northampton. Todd of Sovereign Builders was one of many builders approved to build in the development. We were looking not only to build a home, but to design it ourselves, so we need someone who was familiar and comfortable with that process. After a few calls with Todd and other builders, I knew Todd was the right fit for us. We still decided to visit a number of homes recently built by Sovereign Builders, and we were blown away by what we saw. It was exactly the kind of work we were looking for. After connecting with an architect and designing the home (with our consent Todd weighed in on some critical design issues which helped us fully realize our vision), he developed and executed the plan to build the home. Everything was always done when Todd said it would be - even with COVID hitting in the middle of the project, he was able to keep the train running efficiently and on time. His team is excellent, methodical, and extremely detail oriented. The craftsmanship of their work is evident at all levels - you’ll be hard pressed to find a builder that delivers a finer home than Sovereign Builders and Todd.

We purchased a spec house from Todd and Sovereign Builders. The house went under contract early in the build so we were able to customize many parts of the home. Todd was great to work with and is very knowledgeable not only with home building and design but with interior design as well. He regularly brought us different ideas and concepts to consider. He was also very receptive and reasonable with any ideas we had. We love our home. The framing and finish work is beautiful. The floors and kitchen are stunning. Thank you Todd, Serge, and the whole crew. Todd showed integrity and good humor throughout a long and stressful summer for us as buyers. We have met as part of the builder’s warrantee and he will be addressing a relatively small and minor list of items. I have no reason to doubt he will be helpful and responsive to our future needs. We unconditionally recommend Sovereign Builders.

Sovereign Builders was recommended by a friend who was in the building business. They were willing to work with me on building just the outside of my house, as I was going to be building the interior. The crew was there first thing in the morning and the work progressed really quite quickly. As this was my first house, I needed a bit of "hand-holding" and "education". I got that free! I needed to be all closed in by winter so I could work. That is when I really found out about the quality of the workmanship. I'm a scientist, not a builder, and when I went to put in flooring, stairs, and so many other things, I recognized how square, plumb, and true everything was. It's very nice to rip the last board at a certain width and not at some angle. This was really key in making the stairs. Nothing shakes and everything is really tight. Mike and his team really did a nice job and Todd came through with getting me in by winter. Seems like every knew project reminds me of how dead on angles and measurements were in this construction.

Todd and his crew are absolutely fantastic! I hired them to complete a difficult roofing job which a number of other contractors were unable or unwilling to take on. I found Todd to be prompt in responding to me. His price was very fair, and his employees showed up on time every day. The job was completed in a timely fashion. They were extremely clean and courteous. I even had my tenant comment on how polite and respectful they were! The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We couldn't be more pleased about our experience with Todd Cellura and his Sovereign Builders team who built our new home. From start to finish, the project was seamless. Once the design was finalized, timelines were established, communicated and honored. Todd created a shared experience to ensure that we, the customer, understood how important the decision timelines were to timely job completion. This home-building project was our first. Todd led us through it all, from infrastructure to design detail. Always available when we needed him. We have a beautiful home that has Todd's mark on it, and we are so pleased about that. Should we do this again (unlikely!), it would be with Todd and his team. We are beyond happy with our home!

We hired Todd Cellura and his team at Sovereign Builders to build our custom home. We were impressed from the very beginning with Todd’s design sense, attention to detail, and ability to work with us to create our dream home. He had wonderful suggestions, referrals, and ideas on how to create the high end home we were looking for. The crew at Sovereign Builders were wonderful to work with and somehow always left the construction site broom clean. A special recognition should go to Todd’s finish carpenter, Mike, for his superb work. Despite our making numerous changes during the process, Todd kept to his time frame and always kept us posted. He has also been very available since we moved in following up on any minor post -construction issues. We have been in our house for 3 months now and are loving everything about it. It goes beyond what we imagined and rivals any high end house in the area.

Todd Cellura and the other employees at Soveriegn Builders were very professional and easy to work with. They responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. We were able to communicate primarily through emails, texts, and phone calls since we were not local during the construction. Todd’s attention to detail was impressive, and his recommendations were reliable, which resulted in a beautiful home!

We hired Todd and his Sovereign Team to build a custom home in our hometown after living in the city for the past 15 years. For the most part we were in contact with Todd remotely during the build. Todd and his Team made sure communication was a priority. Although we had a good sense of what we liked and wanted our home to look/feel like we also relied on Todd for his helpful advice in making design decisions. We appreciated his honesty in his delivery of advice and his ability to handle all aspects of the job with us not being local. The home we ended up with exceeded our expectations. The extra details that Todd and his team are known for really make a huge difference in the quality of the home. We have been in our home for 9 months and have been impressed with Todd's continued communication. Todd and his team have answered all of our questions and have helped us out when needed. We would and have recommended Todd to our friends and family.

We started looking for a contractor after we put an offer on a small home built in 1971. We fell in love with the location and the light in the home but we were faced with old and inefficient electrical and plumbing systems, serious structural problems and water damage and an interior layout that didn’t take full advantage of the square footage in the home. We contacted Todd after viewing his impressive portfolio on Houzz. Our first meeting consisted of a site visit to our home and a tour of one of his custom built houses. We were impressed by everything we saw that day. Todd’s attention to detail, his insistence on quality and craftsmanship and his passion for his work came through during the entire tour. We were in awe of his sharp eye for design and his ability to listen to our vision then interpret it in a way that was more practical and attractive than we could have imagined. Our project ultimately required a full house renovation. We could not be more thrilled with the results! Unlike our experience with other contractors, Todd’s communication throughout the project was excellent. Knowing that we would inevitably uncover additional problems when we opened up the walls of the home, he made sure to set our expectations of cost and scope appropriately. Todd was patient with us, quick to respond to questions and he delivered good news or unpleasant discoveries (walls filled with mice!) with candor and solutions. It’s also important to note that Todd’s subcontractors were courteous and efficient when they were onsite and responsive when we had questions, during the project and after. After all the compliments we have received about our newly renovated home, we feel the greatest compliment we can give Todd is to say that we can’t wait to act as a reference!

We choose Todd of Sovereign Builders not only for the quality of his previous projects that he showed us including his own home but just as importantly was his easy going nature and ability to communicate clearly and honestly. We immediately had an excellent rapport with him and it was clear from his previous work that he had an excellent sense of style and an artistic style that was compatible to ours. This rare to find in many home builders. From architectural drawings to final finishing Todd guided us through any snags without delay. He completed the project right on time and within reasonable budget constraints. His obvious extensive experience served us well and he handled any unexpected issues masterfully. His framers, finishers, and finish carpenter all have tremendous skill and pay very close attention to detail. We had very little face time during the entire project but Todd remained very communicative, complete with lots of photos and/or drawings to keep us abreast of progress. He was always ready with good solid advice and suggestions for any needed changes that arose. In the end the completed house stands out in the neighborhood as one that shows that extra bit of detail and careful thought that went into the project. Having been in the house now for a few months, we love its detail and appreciate the fine woodwork. There is nothing that we have noted that we felt could have been done better on the house. Bravo Todd and crew!! We highly recommend Sovereign Builders to anyone builder new or remodeling.
