Tess Bethune Interiors

Tess Bethune built and designed my hip and highly functional art studio in West Los Angeles. She has awesome, innovative ideas and is both fun and professional to work with. From the beginning, she considered the functionality of every piece of furniture, every niche and entranceway. She came up with custom solutions for my specific needs and was really creative in integrating and updating existing furniture. It is my favorite studio ever and my productivity level increased because of her thoughtfulness. Five stars, big time!

Tess makes magic. Tess has an incredible eye for beauty and understanding what her client is looking for while incorporating her own knowledge of what makes a beautiful space. When I met Tess she didn't have her own design firm, but I wished she did. I saw her house when a friend recommended we use it for a photo shoot and I immediately asked, " Are you an interior designer?" with a secret wish that she would help me make my place look that rad. No, she wasn't designing professionally was the answer. Years later, she did open her own design company and it was just my luck to find her right after buying our first home. She is the kind of designer who is willing to work with what you have, truly stay on your budget, make gentle, subtle suggestions that are so right on, you try things that you may never have thought of on your own. She saved me tons of money by mixing my stuff, with some of the 'best of ikea' and vintage finds along with a few well sourced design pieces. I was ready to put my husband's childhood dresser on craigslist and Tess convinced me that it would actually be perfect for the nursery and she was right. We would have never found a quality handmade wood dresser in our price range. The colors she chose for paint make our home feel fresh and modern and we are thrilled with all of her choices 4 years later. I can't recommend her enough.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tess Bethune Interiors. Not only does she have impeccable taste, she worked tirelessly and diligently to help us create a beautiful family home. She created wonderful original design ideas as well as encouraging us to develop our own. She helped source every fixture & ftting and was always happy to to discuss the very tiniest of details. She helped us to find the contractor that was right for us and helped run the project on a day to day basis. We completed a fairly substantial re-model in 6 weeks without compromising quality and that is all down to Tess. We couldn't be happier in our new house and we are hoping to do further more extensive renovations down the line. We will certainly use Tess again in all our future projects.
