Thomas Grae was an incredible partner for my home renovation project! They combined their depth of experience with visionary design to provide an exceptional service. Going into a project like this for the first time, I was very uncertain about the process and how to bring my ideas to life. But from the first phone call, George and Shaynaeh provided a clear path — from vision boards, to demo, to build & installation — for how the project could be a success. Through each of those stages, the team was extremely communicative and followed through flawlessly on their commitments. I worked with Shaynaeh primarily on the design elements, including styles, fixtures, paint, tile, layouts, etc. She provided an incredible level of guidance and vision to take my taste and create a cohesive design throughout the house. George was always there to take our vision and make it a reality. With his background as a contractor and through his connections with expert subcontractors, he managed the demo and renovation perfectly. All inspections were a breeze and I am very pleased with the high quality of work! Overall, I highly recommend Thomas Grae for any home renovation project. Their service was exactly what I needed, and I can’t wait to work with them again in the future.

Thomas Grae built us a studio space as an addition to our beach home. I really liked working with George and Shaynaeh. They were professional and the work quality was excellent. They were very helpful taking my vision and bringing it to life. This project was especially challenging because I was not at the house or readily accessible in person. We communicated with texts, Zoom and email, so it was challenging especially choosing flooring, fixtures, bathroom tiles. Shaynaeh was really great understanding my taste and bringing finishes that mirrored it for my selection. There were periodic updates on the progress complete with pictures so I felt connected to the project even though I wasn’t there in person. We plan on working with them again for our bathroom remodel

"There's no place like home" The ability to transform a house into a home is something Thomas Grae Interior Design & Construction has accomplished for me repeatedly. This was my second home & project, and I am so glad I went back. Supporting family and black-owned businesses is essential to me. Thank you for curating a space unique to me and my vision, walking into my designed home brought over a sense of belonging. In this space I will be able to host family and friends, and experience hopefully many milestones. Project Navy Polaris was a success and I look forward to partnering with you again on the next project.

This review is longover due I have worked on multiple projects with Thomas Grae Interior Design & Contruction \between the years of 2019-2021. I have a childcare center as well as own single-family homes and the Thomas' have been a joy to work with. I can be a bit indecisive with a lot of things and they both truly make the process of renovating & decorating effortless. One of the projects I enjoyed the most was my daughter's nursery in which was during the height of covid, Shaynaeh assisted me virtually in ordering & designing she just made the most stressful time in my life so much easier, and I am forever grateful for her! Please look no further is you're looking to design or renovate your home or business. I couldn't ask for a more professional, thorough, talented, and passionate company to work with.

George & Shaynaeh are awesome! They listen, they roll with the punches and get the job done on time and within budget. We threw some changes at them and they listened and came up with solutions for our desires. I couldn't recommend them high enough! They took my attic and turned into a great workspace with tons of natural light. It's an awesome space that I now use as a home office.

Making selections for a new construction home is nerve-racking! But Shaynaeh is the best and having her by me in the design center made me feel at ease. She is thoughtful, responsive, very professional, and such a nice person. She has great ideas on color scheme and making colors flow beautifully from room to room. She took the time to find out what colors I like (& didn’t like) and made excellent recommendations. Highly recommend Shaynaeh with Thomas Grae Interior Design & Construction!!

Shaynaeh and the Thomas Grae team are THE best! They made the inside of a house that I did not like into our dream home! After the initial meeting with Shaynaeh I knew that she understood my needs and made me comfortable enough that I trusted her to take upon the task while we were in another state. Shaynaeh was exceptionally professional and despite the 4 hour difference, she was available at the time she stated she would be available, responded promptly and kept me up to date on progress . Shaynaeh made sure that the interior design was done before the given time while making sure the quality of work was without fault (while everyone told me its next to impossible to finish within that given time frame) Her team went over and beyond to make sure we were happy with our home, had it professionally cleaned and had all the necessities in place as soon as we moved in. We are so happy with Shaynaeh and would recommend her without any reservations to anyone who wants a trustworthy team. She has impeccable taste and a positive attitude who will work with you to create your perfect home.

After the first phone conversation with Ms. Thomas, I thought I had met a great designer who would be able to work with me on an E-design for 2 areas of my home. She was very nice, approachable, and seemed excited to join me in this endeavor. Her prices were reasonable and she appeared to be very professional and accessible. I reviewed her contract and it stated that there would only be a 48 hour window of time to review, discuss, and make any requested changes to the E-design once she submitted it to the customer. Because of my crazy schedule during the week, I specifically asked Ms Thomas if the E-designs could be sent to me on the weekend so I would be able to review within this 48 hours window and stay within the terms of the contract. She readily agreed and told me that the E-designs would be sent on the weekend and that she would be able to review with me as well over that 48 hour period. The entire balance was due before she would start on the E-design so I paid the bill to get the ball rolling. I got the E-design within a few weeks. That’s when Ms. Thomas began to show her true colors. First, instead of the weekend as we had mutually agreed upon, the E-design was sent on Thursday. Remember, there was only a 48 hour window of time where she was willing to discuss any changes or concerns the customer might have. The design was sent to my email on Thursday and I received a text from her on Friday morning stating my e-design was available along with a reminder of the 48 hour review window. I texted her back and told her that I was working all day on Friday and would not be home till close to 10pm due to events and meetings so I would not be able to review the designs today. I further reminded her that we had agreed on weekend release of the E-designs as this would be the only time I have during the week to get this done. She then informs me that she has a “very busy Saturday” and she will only be able to discuss my designs with me at 9am Saturday morning. I let her know that I had meetings until noon on Saturday but I am free afterwards. I even suggested talking about the E-design on Sunday. She then tells me, “I’m sorry but I don’t work on Sundays.” This was never relayed in any previous discussion, text, or email. How are we supposed to discuss my designs within 48 hours if you are off for 24 hours of the 48? At this point, I am not happy to say the least. I reminded her again that I specifically asked for weekend release of E-designs so all correspondence and discussion could be done within her 48 hour window. I sent her a copy of the emails where she agreed to it. She did not care at all. She did not care about her previous commitment or the fact that I had meetings Saturday morning. Customer service lacking, significantly. Take heed if you desire to feel like a valued customer or good customer service is expected.

Thomas Grae delivered a beautiful back patio upgrade to our home. We shopped our ideas around to other firms and discovered that nobody would be able to take our project to the finish line with the creativity and craftsmanship that Thomas Grae provides. We especially appreciated the one-stop-shop experience Thomas Grae offers. Thomas Grae handled our project's permitting requirements and all correspondence with third-party vendors while collaborating with us to transform our ideas into designs and eventually a vision that they then executed with the utmost quality and precision. Additionally, Thomas Grae continually kept us informed about the project status and provided timely responses to any of our inquiries. Thomas Grae handled our project's inevitable challenges and complexity with grace without compromising quality. Overall, we are so grateful for our new patio and thoroughly enjoyed working with Thomas Grae.
