Working with Dan Schafer was a wonderful experience. He was patient, supportive, and always returned our phone calls and e mail correspondence. We had chosen two pieces of art work that needed artist copyright consent. The first artist refused to consent and we were unable to contact the second artist who lived in France. Knowing the type of picture we wanted to use for our backsplash, Dan directed us to "Marilyn" whose art work was added to his collection. We were excited to find similar prints to what we wanted. The project is complete, looks great, and we heartily recommend Tile by Design for your next project.

This package of tile arrived safely in a timely manner. The instructions were easy to follow and our beautiful mural is now safely on the wall. It did not need grout as tiles fit well together. The picture has been much admired.

Purchased from Tile by Design, Brandley "Copper Leaves" tile mural as a backsplash for my kitchen remodel. I was thrilled how beautiful the colors in the tile brought together the colors in the surrounding areas. Daniel Shaffer was very professional and shipped the tile right away. I had Tiles By Design make a custom tile mural backsplash from a picture I took at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! The original size I requested wouldn't work, so they emailed me with options and previews of what the finished product would look like. The finished predict was gorgeous. It came very well packaged with great installation and care instructions. This is the second mural that I've ordered from Tiles By Design and I would highly recommend them.

I worked with Dan at Tile by Design to customize my backsplash. He was fantastic! I was overwhelmed with a full home renovation and he took the job I gave him and ran with it. One aspect of it was a little complicated and had a couple of moving parts, but Dan handled everything including dealing directly with Shutterstock to find and reproduce the image that I wanted. As far as other aspects: timeliness, cost, professionalism, Tile by Design was top notch. Lastly, my backsplash looks great – everyone comments on it! I would definitely work with them again and I highly recommend them.

We choice this mosaic from a picture on the Tile by Design web site. I called and spoke with Dan.I needed direction since I knew little about kitchen design work. He was helpful amd offered to send a tile for me to check how well it would look with the back splash. When the mosaic arrived two tiles were broken. I called Dan and he told me a replacement would be in the mail in the morning. No problem at all. A nice company to do business with. I am a land developer and builder of thirty years. My wife and I used Tile by Design to custom make tiles for our Penthouse Master Bath shower area. A photograph of a waterfall that we sent them was transferred onto the back of tempered glass tiles. They “photo shopped” the floor of the shower using their magic. The tiles were numbered and carefully shipped to our location in Florida. None were damaged. It has become a main focal point of the entire job. We never met Lori personally, all communication was done by E-mail or telephone.Lori and her staff understood the project, sent mock ups by e-mail, and communicated with us every step of the way. We are delighted with the finished product which I believe is on their web site. Lori and her staff were a pleasure to work with.

While planning a kitchen renovation, we started shopping around for a backsplash mural. We found nothing suitable locally and a search online led us to the tilebydesign website where we found some beautiful options. We discussed purchasing a classic John Singer Sargent landscape of Venice, Italy. Lori and her staff helped us tweak the colors slightly so that the mural matched our kitchen color scheme. I would never have thought before to order something so important online, but Lori put all my fears to rest. We were able to purchase one piece first to check the colors, and when we ordered the full mural, purchase and delivery were quick and easy. The pieces were packed very well and arrived in fine shape. What a pleasure to look at our beautiful mural and know that it is truly one of a kind thanks to Lori and Tile by Design!

I had found an abstract tile mural design on Tile by Design's website and wanted to use it for a backsplash behind my new range. In order to make the design fit size wise ( it was pictured as a square mural) I thought I would have to order 2 sets of the mural and have them mounted in a mirror image to get something to fit the entire space ( a rectangular space). Lori at Tile by Design was really helpful. She understood my size issue and immediately suggested stretching the image to fit the space , rather than putting up 2 sets of the image. When I received the mural tiles , and just looked at the tiles flat on the counter, I was a little worried that the stretched to fit image was going to look a little fuzzy or " pixelated" , but Lori assured me that it would be fine and she as right! It fit perfectly , and has given my kitchen an amazing, and unique backsplash. We love it!
