I have known and worked with Tina for more than 20 years. She is incredible - definitely one of a kind in terms of someone who has the most amazing eye for design. She knows intuitively how to put things together - important things/trivial things/complex things, so that everything ends up seamlessly perfect! She has helped me pull paint colors together in a way that everyone who walks in comments on how the whole house works together so beautifully. Then she helped me find just the right furnishings and accessories to show it all perfectly. Tina was the reason both our 2023 kitchen/mudroom renovation and our 2025 primary bathroom renovation came out wowing not only my husband and I, but everyone who walks into the house. They are both stunning and we love everything about them. Tina gets to know her clients individually and figures out what they love so she can make that happen in every room she designs. She is smart, with a great sense of humor that makes it so incredibly fun to work with her - even when everything else about renovating your home is stressful! She has great people that she has worked with for years so they know how exacting her eye for detail is and how to make that happen in their individual trades or crafts. I truly would not renovate or design anything without Tina. She is the perfect partner for absolutely any project anyone can dream up. We worked with Tina over several years to do many projects at our home--starting with a full kitchen, living room and master bath makeover; then other bathroom updates; updating our staircase; new paint and flooring in other rooms in house; helping us choose colors for the outside of our house; and finally, the design/construction of a new pool house. Tina has a wonderful design philosophy, working with us in incremental steps and always giving us several choices to eliminate being overwhelmed by too many options. She has a good understanding of costs and budgeting and worked closely with us to meet our needs. As you can imagine, problems happened, and it's how she dealt with problems that really impressed us. No job is perfect, because life isn't perfect, and she was a great partner that we trusted throughout our projects!

Decor Muse worked with me to completely redesign my very ineffective kitchen. No one could imagine how small or how limited the storage was when we started. The completed project was far beyond my wildest dreams. Tina was able to increase the storage threefold. This was the first time we hired an Interior Designer to help us update the entire downstairs of our 1992 Colonial Style home. We are so glad we did. Tina was very honest and straight forward from the time she walked into our home. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. She gave us some great ideas for remodeling the kitchen and bath. She is good at picking paint colors to tie everything together to make it flow from one room to another. Having her go with us to look for quartz and a backsplash tile was helpful because she could vision what it would look like in our space better than we could. I felt overwhelmed and paralyzed at times with making decisions. Tina took charge and reassured me that her choices would best suit our home, our style and how we wanted the house to look and feel. She made sure her trades people did the job right by being on site to see how things were going. We appreciate Tina’s expertise and all she has done in helping us update our home. Our experience remodeling our home was exceptional. Tina is very professional and has great teams put together to complete our project. We could not be happier with our entire remodel. Her vision in rearranging our kitchen to make it completely efficient and workable for us is perfect. The products she recommended are excellent and we are now enjoying cooking with new cabinet space, upgraded appliances and a better flow. Our bathroom updates look stunning. She helped us make decisions and give us a direction for what we wanted to accomplish with new cabinets, updated bathtub, shower and floor tile. Probably the biggest change was our floors which were dark brown. We added new wood floors and her team was able to match perfectly the old wood to the new wood. We could not be happier. Redesigning any living space in your home requires commitment, experience and a solid team to ensure things are done correctly to completion. From planning to demo and throughout execution, Tina managed our project to make our vision a reality. We met with multiple designers prior to finding Tina, and we actually started with another firm before moving on after receiving their design. Many designers will hand you a plan and tell you this is what "will be done" and the bottom-line cost. They can be unreceptive to feedback and even get combative. Tina's style is very fluid. She helps you bring a plan to life while offering alternative approaches with cost considerations. We never felt boxed in by a sheet of paper, and we made several alterations/ additions as a team while the project was underway. Tina's various crews are truly wonderful people. We appreciated having them in our house, and we always knew they were taking good care of everything. The attention to detail they put into their work left us speechless upon completion. Our original work was completed in 2022. Unfortunately, we experienced a flood event in late 2023. One phone call to Tina and everything was put into motion to make it right. Her experience with these circumstances helped get us right with the insurance company, and her team put everything back in a matter of weeks. After moving into a new home, we instantly contacted Tina to help us design our small backyard space. Tina has done major remodeling for us in the past and her design ideas and labor subs are top notch. Working with Tina feels like a partnership. She makes it easy to collaborate and create something together. We had a unique situation, we were looking to buy a house and found a house that Tina had completely designed. Everything from the remodel to the furniture. We ended up buying the house fully furnished and continued working with Tina to integrate our own style. The home we purchased is traditional/southern and our style is modern and beachy. We’ve been working to meld the two styles to make the house our own. Her guidance has gone beyond what a typical designer would do and we rely on Tina for her expertise is many areas around household management. She is an expert decorator, project planner and visionary for what is possible. She has done many projects in our neighborhood and knows Texas/Flower Mound homes well. She also does work in other areas like New York and DC. Tina has done everything for us from floors, to lighting, our nursery, literally everything in our house. We can’t imagine working with anyone else and cannot recommend her enough!

Tina is an incredibly gifted designer and project manager with great subs and crews that work for her (and have done for many years). We bought a home in 2021 that desperately needed updates and she helped turn it into our dream home. She took time to get to know us, learn our vision and lifestyles, our likes/dislikes and even negotiate major design conflicts my husband and I had between ourselves. She challenged us to take risks on some really bold colors which we do not regret (even though we thought she was crazy at first!). She challenges us not to go "too trendy" so that we would have designs that last us 20 years and make the most of our investment. I really liked how open, honest and clear she was about budget and cost tracking. She would guide us to spend more in some areas and then we'd claw back on costs in other areas. She made the process as easy as possible, buying for us, returning for us, and fighting for discounts for us. A lot of designers start with a full design draw-up and pre-selected color palettes etc before work ever begins, but Tina opts to let the project evolve organically and live its way into the answers... this was the right approach for us as we changed our minds a million times and had to adapt to supply shortages and strict timelines for personal reasons. Highly, highly recommend. I'm already planning to engage her again for future projects! PS you can ask her for references and even visit some of her work - a testament to her happy clients!

Tina is just wonderful to work with. She has listened to everything we wanted and has worked within our budget. Her creative eye is well educated in aesthetic aspects, and she delivers what she promises. Although a lot of our redo construction waws done during Covid when supply chains were quite low in supplies, the work was completed well just a little later than planned. We are very pleased with our little home and Tina has aided us in making it our personal home. Shes a busy lady, but her work and all her sub-contractors are excellent to work with. Thank you, Tina! Just remember I still have two more bathrooms to re-do, sometime.

Tina has done a phenomenal job w/multiple home improvements we’ve had done. Our most recent was our master bathroom! It is ABSOLUTELY stunningly beautiful; it turned out even nicer than I had envisioned! She has impeccable taste and is so gifted with an eye to see how to use/modify the space in a given room. The crews she works with are top notch, and so easy and kind to work with. Their work is very high quality and they, themselves, demand perfection in their work! Tina is the one to go to if you’re looking for a designer who provides a stunning design and demands top quality in her finished project! We can’t wait to do a kitchen renovation w/her in the future!!

We hired Tina and her crew for a remodel of our master bath which turned out so well, we hired her again to complete the remodel of our upstairs bath and guest bath refresh to get our home ready for sale. We couldn't have been more pleased, and in fact, we wish we had just done it sooner! Our master bath remodel was nearly a "down-to-the-studs" project - replaced the jetted tub and existing shower with a large walk-in shower, retiled everything, installed beautiful custom cabinetry with quartz countertop and x-large custom mirror, repainted everything, and added canned lighting. For the other two bathrooms, we refaced the cabinet doors, retiled the floors, replaced the counter, and added new light fixtures and hardware. They finally blended with the aesthetic of the rest of the house, and our only regret was waiting until we were preparing the house for the market. We wanted to have a lot of input on the design and had a clear vision of what we wanted, and Tina provided us with the freedom to do so while offering us the guidance we needed! Her sub-contractors were fantastic - we still rave about our cabinets, mirror, and tile work to everyone we know. Our house also sold for well above asking in no small part to the changes she and her team helped us make! 10/10 would recommend:)

Tina has done 3 projects on my house: a small bedroom makeover, 2 bathroom remodel, and lastly a major rest of the house remodel. She scheduled appropriately and realistically. She is amazing about planning for the things you do not know you need (ie placement of plugs, replacing lights, design features…). Tina is also great at taking exactly my style and my selections and putting them all together to look spectacular! She has a positive attitude and takes challenges and figures out how to make it work. Budget is always a huge concern. She was able to work with us and determine where the best places to spend the money and where we could save money. The best is she manages the tradesmen and holds them accountable to doing exceptional work.

Nailed it! Our 20 year old home was in need of an interior facelift and she blew us away with her gifted ability to renovate our kitchen, family and living room into areas we will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for years to come. We could not have transformed our home without her! My husband and I have worked with Tina on 4 different projects over the past 15 years and can't say enough great things about her work and her personally. In one word, she's amazing! **WARNING** Good at starting projects, extraordinary at leaving them unfinished. We are still feeling and living with the pain of working with Tina. Tim the carpenter was awesome, but everyone else that stepped foot on our property as part of her team lacked accountability, professionalism, follow-up and showed lack of urgency and basic care for their trade. Wrong interior doors were ordered; wood floors were installed too early and is now acclimating poorly; garage door was broken three times by contractors who took no ownership; plumbing was installed incorrectly; tile wasn’t installed when they said; electricians did half the job requested; windows showed up broken; water leaks were left alone; vendors backed out of orders…and when any issues were addressed, it was never their fault, but the minute they felt they were done they wanted to get paid. We waited too long to fire her. Hire her at your own risk.

We worked with Tina to remodel our very outdated kitchen. She was fantastic from the beginning. She very quickly identified our style in the first meeting and her recommendations were spot on. She listened to our pain points, ideas, answered all of our questions, and dealt with any concerns promptly and professionally. We had an unexpected project due to a plumbing leak in another part of the house and when we called to see if she could help, she jumped in without hesitation and quickly found contractors that could respond quickly. Excellent. Tina has fantastic taste. She will use what you already have and/or offer options. We had a flood due to a washing machine hose break. She was extremely responsive. She handled everything - from the insurance to every bit of work in the home. The repair companies she used were wonderful. With the insurance, she was able to talk technical with them on issues they missed or under estimate. I sure couldn't have done that. I felt so very comfortable with her that we were able to make our planned trip to Spain 2 days after the flood and I never worried about the house. What a blessing.

We needed updated and upgrades before placing our home on the market for sale. The on-point advice and superb project management from Decor Muse resulting in our selling our home in 3 days (!!) and for about $100,000 (!!!) more than we expected! The quality of work provided by Decor Muse’s subcontractors far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Decor Muse for any design and execution work on existing properties. We have known Tina Barrette, the owner of Décor Muse, for many years but have not had the opportunity to work with her professionally until recently. We hired Tina to help us with a home we purchased in a very desirable neighborhood, only thing was the inside of the home was less than desirable. We didn’t realize how lucky we were when we met Tina, but very quickly we realized we were in great hands! Tina immediately understood our taste, personalities and concerns. I've worked with Tina at Decor Muse for two of the biggest remodels a house can have- Kitchen in 2014 and Master Bath in 2016. She really listened to what I wanted and made great suggestions to ensure the projects both turned out beautiful. She is very professional, easy to work with, and answered emails and phone calls in a timely manner. I really like that she works with the same pros all the time so I never felt uneasy about allowing them in my house and was sure that the quality of the work would be excellent. She doesn't sacrifice quality to save a few dollars, but is very reasonable for her services. I've worked with other decorators before who gouge you for everything. Tina doesn't do any of that and helps with cost by utilizing all the discounts she has access to. She has made two potentially difficult remodels as easy as possible. I highly recommend her.

The only thing we knew when starting the master bath remodel was that we wanted it remodeled. Not having a good eye for the design, fixtures, layout, etc. getting Tina involved from the beginning seemed smart. The smartest thing we did was get Tina involved. I have done remodeling three different ways in my lifetime: the “by myself way” – where I do all the work even though I’m not a pro; the “hiring of unknown contractors way” all the while hoping that they do a good job, and the “finding Tina, the designer way”! I have to say that finding Tina the designer way has been a blessing – in so many ways. I had never hired a designer – but I reached out to her years ago. So glad that I did as she has amazing ideas which she shares with you once she assesses your style and your likes/dislikes. She arranges all the work with her chosen contractors and oversees every detail. No more keeping your fingers crossed that you picked a good contractor or wondering if they will show up; or whether they truly know what they are doing in your house! She is also extremely personable and a joy to work with whether your project is large in scale or small.

Tina has helped us basically re-decorate almost our entire home in the last few years. From my husband's office with the gorgeous custom cabinetry and fabric-covered walls, to our expanded and re-designed media/game room upstairs, we truly love our home now for its beauty AND its functionality. She helped us find one-of-a-kind pieces of art and lighting that truly fit our personality. She spent time shopping and decorating for Christmas with me one year so that I learned how best to do my holiday decorating. It also helps that she is super fun to work with!

I am so incredibly happy with my new kitchen! Tina is professional and knowledgable and pays great attention to detail. My project was large, including knocking down walls, complete demolition of my existing kitchen, replacement of almost all downstairs flooring and repainting the entire kitchen and living areas, yet it was finished in a timely manner. I loved working with Tina from Decor Muse!! She re-designed several rooms in my home--kitchen, master bath, master bedroom, family room, office, dining room, and powder room.
