I commissioned a painting from this artist. He considered my preferences and likes very carefully, and produced a maquette on the basis of which I agreed he should proceed with the final painting. He produced the final painting on budget and schedule, and I must say I was absolutely delighted with the result. In addition to experiencing a very friendly and professional commissioning process, I am the proud owner of a painting which I will enjoy and cherish, and which will grace the walls of my home for a very very long time.

I HAVE KNOWN TOM FOR SOME YEARS NOW BOTH AS A CLIENT AND AS RESOURCE WHEN IT CAME TO PROVIDING ARTISTIC SOLUTIONS FOR CONCEPTS THAT I HAD FOR OTHER CLIENTS' PROJECTS. HE LISTENS TO PRELIMINARY IDEAS, IS EXTREMELY CREATIVE, VERY ARTICULATE, AND COMES BACK WITH SOLUTIONS THAT TAKES THE CONCEPT FURTHER IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. HIS STYLE IS TYPICALLY VERY MUCH IN TUNE WITH NATURE BUT HAS A SENSE OF MYSTICISM WHERE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SEEING BUT IT APPEARS AS IF YOU ARE LOOKING INTO THE "SOUL" OF THE PIECE. HE IS ALSO VERY OPEN TO "CRITICAL" COMMENTS DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE THE PROJECT WITHOUT BEING OFFENDED BUT DOES COMMUNICATE HIS FEELINGS SO THAT THERE CAN BE A POSITIVE BLENDING OF IDEAS FROM HIM, THE DESIGNER AND THE CLIENT. ONCE THE PROJECT IS READY FOR INSTALLATION, HIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS SECOND TO NONE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC AND CREATIVE SOLUTION TO A PROJECT THAT NEEDS AN ARTISTIC SOLUTION TO ADD TO ITS ORIGINALITY.

Over the years I've followed the career of Tom Dietrich, I've seen his work span from philosophical realism to abstract, and from oil to bronze. I've seen him produce work for galleries and commissioned work for individuals. I have two of Tom's pieces and each of them makes the room they're in - lovely, both! Perhaps someday I'll have a bigger house and can have more. :-) He's friendly, helpful and produces beautiful, unique art. I also know Tom from installing gardens (I have a landscape design/installation company) around some of his sculptural work and have watched him work with his customers to give them amazing pieces in exactly the fashion they were looking for, each with top-quality materials and with deep meaning.
