True Residential

You are considering buying a True Residential refrigerator? Reconsider. I gut renovated my apartment and bought three True Residential fridges/freezer. The fridge drawers, matching freezer drawers and an undercounter dual zone wine fridge. In total, USD 13k. The fridge and freezer drawers are just fine. The wine fridge was the worst decision ever and to this date, I do not have an undamaged wine fridge. The first fridge was delivered in January 2020 and the door did not close (hinges were completely bent). True offered to exchange the door, I demanded replacement of the fridge given that I paid roughly USD 4,200 for a new fridge. The second fridge had dents in the stainless steel frame, so that went back. #3 had crooked wine shelves that could not be straightened out, it was a manufacturing mistake. Now I am on #4, which was delivered today with huge scratches in the stainless steel on the inside of the door. True is willing to replace the door, however, it's a freaking new fridge, why is it damaged? My contractors and I have a bet running what's wrong with the door they will deliver. If this was a fridge for under USD 1k, I would not even complain. However, True holds itself out to be a high end residential line competing with Subzero. They sure charge the price for it and I am regretting not having bought a Subzero. It's been 10 months and I still don't have a satisfactory wine fridge. This is ridiculous.

I sell many brands of outdoor refrigeration and love it when the customer chooses TRUE! The product guarantees me many of the same things my customer and most likely you, the reader, are looking for. I know that the in service will go well as the product is packaged perfectly for safe delivery to the home. I have never had a service problem with a TRUE product out of the box. The immediate reaction from the customer always involves "happy sounds" as TRUE products are stunning to the eye and once they use them the happiness continues. I want a product I don't have to return to service often after the sale and TRUE does not require that I make return trips, so you don't have to worry about breakdowns. With all Stainless interiors I don't worry about rust or discoloration and with 3 color LED lighting I can add a little "bling" to the party, even my most conservative customer likes to light up their bar or serving area. I shop my products very thoroughly before I offer them to my customers and usually ask as many owners of a product I'm considering as possible for feedback. My favorite answer on TRUE was from a close friend and long time restauranteur in my area; he said you see that refrigerated sandwich display? My father purchased it, and it was used, 35 years ago and I never have trouble with it. TRUE is a commercial product that has made the transition to the under counter residential market, and made it with style.
