Ethan built a storage closet in our 100 year old home. He matched the woodwork, the trim and the finish with the original closets and the completed work looks like it always belonged there. We were thrilled with his work. Ethan is an artist and takes great pride in everything he does. Just don’t let him sing!

Ethan built a sun room addition off of our living room. The interior workmanship and woodwork is exquisite! The exterior is beautiful and blends with the rest of the house exterior. Urban Utopia put a new surface on my deck and also put steps around the deck and then stained all. The work was impeccable, done in a timely fashion and included great cleanup. Ethan has been an integral part of the renovation of our mid-century property in Rhode Island. His designs for pergolas, garden gates, trellis and fencing have helped to bring our home to a whole new level. One pergola he created five years ago from Spanish Cedar connects four ancient wisteria plants and is as sturdy as ever. He built an elegant deck which wraps around the greenhouse and sparkles with sunlight that filters through yet another pergola designed and built by Ethan. The garden gates he's made for us show the skill and creative talent he brings to his work. Ethan is courteous, dependable and usually finishes a project on time and on-budget.

Ethan is a professional, down to earth builder with a good design eye, but also the flexibility to work with the client to execute their vision. I've hired him twice: first to build a deck, and later to add benches and have been very pleased on both occasions. He works hard, gets the job done right, and has a great sense of humor. Finally, he has that mark of a true pro: the ability to make things happen when the weather or wood isn't cooperating.

I hired Ethan for 2 projects. One was cabinetry and the other was a stone patio and wall. On both occasions, Ethan went above and beyond and I ended up with a far superior product. His attention to detail and design show in his work. I was also pleased with material selection.
