Carlos is the most professional contractor I have had the pleasure of hiring and working with. His employees are meticulous, knowledgeable and did an incredible job on my front door, frame and entranceway. I recently hired US Work building and remodeling and I could not be more pleased with the results. They painted the entire interior from a dark wood to a bright, clean white. The worn and scuffed floors were refinished to a beautiful sand washed white. A vintage kitchen was updated with new paint and lighting as well as a dishwasher and sink. All exterior and interior lighting was upgraded. Everything was done with professionalism and care. Carlos worked within my budget and finished on time. His team is very nice and respectful. Highly recommend!

We have renovated four homes in the past eight years, each time using different contractors. U.S. Work Building & Remodeling exceeded all of our expectations, and going forward we would only use them. Carlos is an absolutely lovely person, a perfectionist, honest, and realistic. He never made a promise that he could not complete. These are long projects, and it is imperative to have a comfortable relationship with your contractor. We always felt positive feelings working with Carlos and could not trust a contractor more. When working with previous contractors there were often delays because they were working on other projects, yet they demanded much money up front. We could not believe how quickly Carlos got the job done and never felt that he was dragging his feet--he wanted to get the job done just as much as we did! Carlos only uses licensed subcontractors. In addition, the floor, tile, painting, kitchen cabinets, all were installed by very qualified craftsman, truly talented folks with excellent skills. This was a total remodel, and we could not be any happier. Anytime we had a question or didn't care for something, Carlos had ideas and made it beautiful. I lucked out finding US Work Building & Remodeling, and after several major projects with other contractors, Carlos was so much more professional, honest, realistic, fast and skilled than any others we have used. To think I found him by doing an Internet search! Cannot recommend more!

Carlos and his crew did a recent renovation on our bathroom. Despite a few changes along the way, Carlos kept us informed and updated on a daily basis. He notified us when crew members were coming and communicated via text and phone daily. He and his crew were polite, courteous, and left the job neat and picked up. We are very pleased with our "new" bathroom.

We loved working with Carlos and his team at U.S. Work Building & Remodeling for our comprehensive home renovation. We needed to refresh our newly purchased home (built in the 80s) and Carlos made it beautiful and modern! From beginning to end, Carlos and his crew made our bathroom renovation a completely positive experience! The tilers did a fabulous job, even making suggestions on improvements to our design! They were right! The painter is such a perfectionist, coming back to touch up a few spots, as was the plumber. We appreciate the professionalism of this crew, which we have not always seen in other construction companies. Everyone was pleasant and polite! We would highly recommend this company.

Carlos started my kitchen on time and there was always someone here working on our project. He always answered my text messages promptly and was able to answer my questions. Carlos always let me know the schedule as to who was coming what days and approximately what time. His crew works hard and are very reliable. He did an excellent job and we are very happy.

Carlos and his team installed 2 new bathrooms in our Chatham home They were extremely professional, helpful and timely through every step of the project. They were also very clean and left the project neat each day. Carlos was very responsive to every text and phone call and worked to ensure that we were happy with every aspect of the project. His ability to solve some structural issues and work with in our existing space saved us some major expenses. If we had one recommendation it would be to have a discussion in advance of each stage of the project on a timeline for materials. Due to the extensive work on this project, my only suggestion for improvement is to have periodic reviews with all parties (customer, contractor, architect, engineer) to address any unforeseen issues. Whether a future project is large or small, we would consider Carlos and his Company without hesitation.

The workers that installed our tile did an incredible job. The drywall and painting were done perfectly. An old leak damaging our kitchen was repaired and the ceiling was plastered to match the existing texture. When it was complete, we could not tell there was ever damage. All the finishing was done with attention to detail. In addition, the work area was always left clean at the end of the day. All members of the team were polite and wonderful to have in our home. We are so happy with the two bathroom renovations as well as the exterior power wash and paint job which was recently completed by Carlos Santos and his crew from U.S. Work Building and Remodeling . Our Cape Cod home is about fifty years old and was in need of some updating. Carlos and his crew were up to the task. They are a very professional, hard working and experienced group. As a Chicago based interior designer, I have worked with a host of contractors over the course of my career. Hands down, Carlos and his team were the most extraordinary to work with. I contracted with Carlos to demo and renovate a full sized bath. Very quickly, I realized that Carlos was unlike so many builders with whom I have worked--- when Carlos said he could get the job done, he moved heaven and earth to do so. Carlos, under extreme time pressure was not only able to finish a beautiful bathroom for us, he took our basement (which was original to the 1940's house and the stuff that nightmares are made of) and plastered, drywalled, created a drop ceiling, painted, installed brand-new flooring, and re-built an entire staircase in record breaking time. He transformed our basement into true usable space. Carlos is a true pleasure to work with---a wonderful communicator, a wildly reliable, hardworking, fairly-priced and honest builder who does absolutely beautiful work. He worked wonderfully with other sub-contractors, and was responsive always to my questions. It is a wonder that Carlos stayed true to his timeline-- while the rest of the world is experiencing material and labor shortages, Carlos added such incredible value to our home, in such an accelerated timeframe. I cannot -- as a home owner and as an interior design progressional--recommend Carlos more highly. He is a true gem.

Carlos and his team were incredibly professional. They were prompt, tidy and provided exceptional results. I have never worked with a contractor who managed their time as well as Carlos. Not only did he keep us on track, he pushed us to keep the project moving. If you are going to work with him, do your homework and be prepared by having your preferences and fixtures chosen in advance. He was very accommodating as I changed and added to the project along the way, and I still never had to wait for him or his team. From the beginning to end, he was professional and efficient with every step.

Carlos & team completed a bathroom renovation & window replacements for us in the spring. The project involved remodeling a bathroom, relocating laundry machines, replacing multiple windows, and creating a large shower with a bench. The remodel was completed within budget & looks beautiful! We're very happy with how it turned out, and the tilers in particular did a really great job. Carlos is very responsive & easy to work with, and we wouldn't hesitate to contact him again when we're ready to move forward with other remodeling projects.

Carlos was extremely easy to work with. He kept in contact and responded quickly to every communication which was critical since I was not able to be on site for the project. The work was done in less time than expected and to the highest quality. We are pleased with our experience and will contact Carlos again if we need more work done.

We hired U.S. WORK Building and remodeling for a quite major renovation of our Cape house. It involved breaking 2 walls to make the dinning-room, kitchen and family room one big open space, as well as adding a sliding door access to the deck. We were impressed by Carlos at all points, from the first contact, when he provided his estimate fast, to the last steps of the reno, when he left the house in a pristine shape! Carlos kept on time and on budget. He was also very helpful in guiding us to suppliers (countertop, tiles), and came up with creative options and proposals for those details you miss when you do such a reno: from fixing those unexpected problems you find when opening walls, to making everything look unified in this new open space, such as door frames and even ceilings (which were not at the same height!). We came several times to check on the progress, and each time it was a huge change and improvement. We appreciated how Carlos was keeping us in touch with advancements and sending pictures of the progress throughout the project. Seeing this, we decided to also update our bathroom, and Carlos did yet another amazing job. We’re already having plans for renovating other parts of the home with Carlos and US WORK Building and Remodeling. Best home remodeling experience ever. Added some pictures of the kitchen space reno (more also in one of the folders) and of the bathroom reno.

We've been working with Carlos and US Work since 2015. Carlos and his team are incredibly hard working, honest, and do spectacular work. They did a makeover of our Cape Cod Home in 2015 and then we asked him to add 2 new bathrooms in 2016. We contracted with him again to build a new shed for us this past year and some general fixes. Every time, Carlos is always available for questions, input, and guidance. When he tells you something will work, I believe him and he never disappoints. We have always been happy with his work and he is a great person as well. Thoughtful, collaborative, creative, with fair pricing and adherence to deadlines. We are so happy with the work he has done for us.

Carlos put up a new ceiling (dry wall) for us in our basement, and did some painting in the upstairs of our cottage. He also fixed a door (so it opens and closes now) and took off some Old brackets on the roof. He does excellent work in a timely manner. We were on a tight schedule to get our cottage listed....afterwards it only took two days to go under agreement! Thanks Carlos!

We worked with Carlos Santos and his team initially to replace our two bathrooms. His work was professional and communication was timely. He made sure we were 100% satisfied with our results. After the initial project, we've since contracted with him several times and his team has installed an outdoor shower, replaced our roof, and replaced leaking skylights. Any time we've had a problem with our house, Carlos is the person we've called, and he's come through for us time and time again. He is honest and kind, and he shows up when he says he will, including during a storm while one of our windows was leaking. His team is tidy and efficient. Very pleased with the promptness and high quality of the work. Carlos re-shingled our roof on the Cape, and also repaired some rotten wood that he found. The design and color of the shingles was more charming than we expected, and I have already recommended him to a friend. Although we were off-Cape when the work was being done, he kept in touch and sent photos. Very professional.

If you want someone knowledgeable, responsible, courteous, timely, and trustworthy U.S Work Building is the company for you. A complete renovation was done in the basement and what a great job! Another big plus was that the area was kept as clean as possible during the renovation. I am very picky (trim corner cuts matching, sheet rock seams, etc.) and very happy that they put in the time and effort to do it like it was their own home. Before leaving we reviewed the completed job together and made sure I was happy with the project. I will definitely use again.

Excellent job! We have known Carlos and worked with Carlos on our house in Harwich. Carlos installed a bedroom, windows, eliminated a door to the driveway and shingled the exterior to match the other shingles and drywalled the interior, built and installed a beautiful fireplace mantle and removed our old deck and replaced with a new deck. All work was done promptly and neatly.

Carlos and his team did a complete renovation of this Cape Cod Vacation Rental home on a very tight budget. They painted, did new floors, did 2 brand new bathrooms, finished the basement offering plenty of space for use and created a separate laundry room. They fixed up garage with painting walls and floors for more use. The owner was very happy and not did it rent at a higher rate consistently but is sold later in the year at a top price. Carlos and his team are very easy to work with and most responsible and kept to the budget.
