Via Builders built our home in 2018-19, and I tell everyone, "we have a very well built home". We have had no major construction concerns, and any wear and tear issues have been well received by Via. As promised, they came in and conducted a post-build-evaluation, and we were all happy to learn that after 4 years (usually done at a year, but due to COVID we waited to do) there had been little movement. And despite, little repairs needed (caulking, painting) they came in did it al. They promised to warrantee their work, and they did. We were very appreciative. Via told us they could build our home (3 stories and 5500 sq. ft. with pool) in 14-16 months and they did just that. Their project managers, staff, and many of their subs have worked for Via 25+ years. I say Via must be doing something right to keep that degree of loyalty. In those 15 months, there was only one day where no one showed up. They were always managing/building something on site. They were highly organized and communicative throughout the process. Via collaborates easily with other professionals (city, PG&E, designer, architect, landscaper). Via is very knowledgeable and gives good information/direction through the process. Although construction can be a stressful, expensive, and an exhausting process, Via made sure it was all worth it. Once we moved in, we were so grateful for the home we built. Via continues to be very responsive and helpful five years out.

Via brings professionalism and expertise to the process of building a new home. As a first time builder, I struggled to see how the drawings would actually feel to live in. Primo & Gustavo were so patient and created mock spaces to help me get a better ideas. They were helpful and offered several great suggestions for improvements as we progressed with the build. 100% of the Via staff and 95% of the subs were lovely to work with, professional, respectful and very knowledgeable of their craft. The other 5%, Via is either no longer using or minimized my involvement with them. Via has always stood behind their service, anytime we’ve had an issue they’ve handled the situation with integrity, professionalism and respect. During the build process there will be issues, things happen, things come up. Building a home very stressful, goes way over budget, and takes longer than expected. Ralph’s mistake was telling me it could be done in 14 months, ours took about 24. 6 years later, as the house settles, nature happens, severe drought or heavy rains your home will be tested in ways you can’t always predict, Via is still responsive, available and stands behind their work. Via is always my first call. The further out from our build the more I recommend Via.

The team at Via Builders did a great job with our whole-house build (which included a basement). They listened and responded to our wishes and needs and the result is a home that is tailored perfectly for our family. Perhaps the best part of our experience has been their wonderful service after our build was finished. For any and all needs we have had (plumbing, etc.), we call upon them and they respond quickly and professionally. Via has been very good to our family and we highly recommend them.

Via built our house in 2010. The quality of the construction has been great. Even after close to 15 years, they still respond to questions about the house. We had trouble with our water heater due to the hard water in the area. Other than that, everything is great. The house is built like a tank and still feels like a pretty new house even though we have lived here for over a decade.

Via built a great house for us and we would use them again in the future and highly recommend them to others. Their level of professionalism and quality of work is outstanding. 5+ stars from us!

I've had the delightful opportunity to work with Via builders on two occasions. The first was when we just bought our house, which had not been updated since 1959. Via was an outstanding partner and provided insights and guidance to help shape the final product. This was a full house renovation and it went off without a hitch! Due to the success of this partnership, we reached out to them again when we decided we needed an addition to our house. Via again provided sage advice, gave options based on previous experience, and flawlessly executed on the project. I will say that in the event that I'm not satisfied with something, I reach out to my PM who immediately responds and sends someone out to adjust. My experience with Via is unmatched by other contractors in the industry. I highly recommend reaching out to them!

This company and its employees are competent, friendly, attentive and very skilled at their trades. The necessary permit from the city was handled, and an incremented payment schedule was provided. All changes during the project were itemized and approved by me prior to work. We paid piecemeal as various stages of the work were completed. No problems with this.

Ralph Saviano, owner of Via Builders, is the most honorable man I have ever met. He has proven, over time, consistent professionalism, experience, and knowledge of cost, timing, and high quality workmanship. Ralph has the ability to see a space from many different perspectives, and takes the time to optimize the best use, for the client. We first hired Via Builders several years ago when we completed a drastic remodel by updating the interior of our 1960s home. Via Builder’s owner, Ralph Soriano, was absolutely phenomenal at that time, managing our expectations, guiding our decision making, and finishing our job perfectly. So when my husband and I decided it was time to open the middle of the home into a large kitchen, dining, and sitting room, we knew immediately we wanted Ralph and his team to come to our home and help us turn our long-time dream into a reality. Ralph met with us multiple times with drawings, plans, timelines and clear bids that enabled us to focus our attention toward the parts that were most important to us. He worked phenomenally with our interior designer, coordinating appropriate plans, communicating timelines clearly, and delivering on all our expectations. Through Ralph’s meticulous planning, I did not have to cut corners on any aspect of the kitchen that was really important to me. As an elite contracting company in the Bay Area, Ralph delivered what he promised. Ralph has the best crews of employees and subcontractors we have worked with. Edgar and his crew are consistently professional, detail-oriented, courteous, kind, and very reliable. Edgar and his crew were on time every single day, without fail, and as foreman, he always ensured all of the sub-contractors were scheduled and lined up in order to avoid unnecessary (and expensive) delays. My daughter chose our family home to get married at, and wanted to utilize the pool in our backyard as her reception dance floor. Toward the end of our remodel, we reached out to Ralph to determine if his team could make time to build a safe and aesthetically pleasing pool cover that would hold over 100 guests. Not only were Ralph and Edgar on board, they directed the crew in building a perfectly suited dance floor for my daughter’s wedding. It was wonderful knowing that any request we made of Via Builders would be done to perfection, on time, and be exactly what we wanted. The wedding went off without a hitch, and the pool cover held many crazy dance circles! In the event we ever want to complete another remodel, we will reach out to Ralph, Edgar, and their crews again, without hesitation. We are so pleased with our new kitchen, open floor plan, and fully updated bathrooms. We recommend Ralph and his team wholeheartedly and wish them continued success!

We hired Via to renovate our home because we were looking for a builder with a strong sense of integrity, an excellent reputation and solid experience. They did not disappoint! When their trucks left for the last time and the sign was taken down, we felt pleased because we had become a high performing team and we knew they would stand by their quality craftsmanship and excellent construction work. Via’s problem-solving ability was the key to our project’s success. Every time we hit a road block or made changes, Via would present us with several options as to how to solve an issue. They never said “no” and were surprisingly creative, customer focused and available. The office was also top notch and friendly. They sat with us on several occasions and reviewed the details of our project with patience. We especially liked the way Ralph understands his staff and treats them with respect and kindness. Designer, Diann Kartch, and the whole team from Via Builders are a crew I would love to work with over and over again. Diann's professionalism and vision for a beautiful property really help keep a project's details clear and achievable. We worked with Via to build a custom home from ground up in 2014-15. I'm an industry professional myself and had high expectations/standards when it came to building our own home. Having worked on many different projects over the years, I will be the first person to tell you there is no 'perfect contractor' and there will be moments of tension in any project. For me, it's the way the contractor handles disagreements and issues that arises that really sets a great contractor apart from others. Through out our construction, I found everyone who I interacted with at Via to be pleasant to work with and when any problems did arise, everyone was willing to work with each other to bring out the best outcome. Recently, we found a minor problem 2 yrs after completion of the project. Via responded immediately and went above and beyond to locate the cause of the problem and make everything right. The experience confirmed that they stand behind their work and take pride in their workmanship. I would recommend them for any major project.

I worked with Diann to photograph a large new construction project in Saratoga, CA. I found her and the rest of the Via Builders team to be professional, creative and conscientious in all our interactions. It's a pleasure to work with consummate professionals and I enjoyed working with them very much.

We hired Via Builders January 2014. Ralph's design plan absolutely reflected our desired features in our new home. We were actually able to pick from three versions of plans. The house started on time and it was completed within the expected time frame. Our foreman Primo was fabulous and everyone who worked on our house was professional, very skilled and friendly. We are extremely happy with our new home. It is above and beyond our wildest expectations.

We wished to make better use of the space within our house. Ralph Saviano of VIA quickly came up with a very creative solution that fit within our roofline. Small changes, tuning of the design, and the defining final details were easily handled during the construction. Larger changes were reviewed, adjusted and incorporated into the remodel as needed. We are now very happy in our improved living space.

Via Builders totally remodeled our home 12 years ago. They were extremely thorough, communicative, fair, and professional in all of our dealings. The project took a year, and they have been back several times since to do work as needed. As an example, after one side of our house shifted a bit years later, they returned to even out doors, repair cracks, etc. We have maintained a relationship with them over the years, and have wholeheartedly referred our friends to them for their jobs. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work done on their homes.

Via did a fantastic and first rate job of construction. We also like most of their subcontractors. They were, however, dishonest about the cost. Here's some examples: several estimates in the contract were less than 1/2 their actual cost, the roof replacement estimate left out much of the essential work and they wanted 50% more, some quotes were not shown to us until we complained about the invoices. The owner is sharp, has been in business for over 30 years, and his father was as contractor. These were not minor mis-estimates. We don't trust this company, and do NOT recommend them. ----- I just read the contractors response. A tree didn't fall on our house, and an insurance company was never involved. The contractor must have confused this with another project. To better understand what happened on the roof, here is the explanation. As part of our contract and major home remodel, we included roof replacement - removing the old shake roof and replacing it with a new composition roof. When we found the quote to be 50% higher than the original estimate in the contract, Via said that we we needed metal for valleys and plumbing vents, vents for the roof and plywood sheeting since we were replacing a shake roof. All shake roof replacements require metal, vents, and sheeting, and Via knows this. I even know this as a homeowner. We don't understand why these were not in the original contract and only shown to us when we literally didn't have a roof on our house! There were several more low estimates, that in total costed many 10's of thousands of dollars more than the original contract. Theses were underestimates by Via Builders. Just to make sure there is no confusion, we did add some upgrades and change orders during construction. We were happy to pay more for these since it did cost Via time and materials. It's too bad they were not more honest about the costs. They do great work, and strive to do things the right way.

The team at Via was amazing. We completely updated our vacation home from a 1970s to current. Ralph and Ed had so many great ideas. We raised our ceiling and pulled a wall out. I would highly recommend them for any project big or small. They stand behind their work including coming to pull a smoke alarm which was low on battery and was in a very high location!

We learned of Via from a friend who hired them for three different remodels over many years and highly recommended Ralph. When we met with Ralph, he gave us a complete list of all of his clients. We noticed that several other friends and acquaintances had worked with Via. We talked with them and they uniformly recommended Via. Some had had challenges on their projects and said Via helped them work through the issues and they would work with Via again. Ralph and Via were willing to take on our construction project before framing was completed. There had been and we would continue to find many issues with the construction by a previous company up to that point. Via helped us work through issue after issue, surprise after surprise from the previous construction. Via didn't shy away from problems but calmly faced them head-on, finding creative solutions that often ended up with a better result than the original plan. Construction can be stressful; we had much more confidence and much less stress with Via at our side.

We interviewed over 10 contractors for our project which was a complete remodel and the addition of a new master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Ralph was the first contractor we met, and our instinct was he was the one we were going to go with, but of course, we had to meet many more after him...Ultimately, he was our guy - he drew the plans, and guided us through all the steps. This being our first project of this size. (We had previously only updated floors in our other home). Ralph himself is outstanding and a very solid individual who brings years of experience, and craftsmanship and integrity to his work. Our job foreman, Edgar Torrez was outstanding. He too brings years of experience and quality craftsmanship to building and is very quick and responsive to emails, texts and phone calls - I mean he answers on the first ring! We love the work they did for us, and happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality builders! (Our project is in their portfolio BD Residence).

We built our dream home with Via. They were great. We had good experiences with all their subs and their project management was superb. Also the office staff was very responsive and professional. Ralph the owner was super knowledgable and a great resource for decisions. We interviewed 17 contractors before going with Via and our choice was clear on both cost and value.

Via folks were enjoyable to work with, got the job done on time, and within budget. In fact, 1/3 of the way through the process, when the 10 month project was 2 months behind schedule, I dove in and found out that the problem was our architect. So I fired the architect, and went with just myself and Via. We still completed the project on time.

Via Builders did a major remodel of our Los Gatos house very effectively. Ralph provided expert guidance on changes to meet our objectives when we were unsure how best to proceed. Edgar did a great job of supervising the crew and executing the plans. The crew were always very professional. I would highly recommend Via to others considering an extensive remodel.

Ralph really knows his stuff! He really cares about the final product demanding precision from his project managers - who are great also. Reliable and professional through and through.

My husband and I hired Via Builders to perform a major remodel and addition to our home in Cupertino, going from 1900 square feet to over 3,000 square feet - daunting enough to go through without adding to the difficulty that we were living in Germany at the time! This is a task we never would have undertaken with any other builder. Ralph Saviano, the owner of Via Builders, was nothing short of spectacular in his design suggestions (saving us a small fortune in architectural design costs) and attention to detail - everything from ceiling details to electrical outlet placements to plumbing fixtures to house layout and kitchen design. With more than 30 years experience and a well-honed staff his skills and professionalism are truly noteworthy. Add to that the fact that the cost of the remodel was far less than many bids we had from other companies and you have the best of all possible worlds when looking for someone to hire for either a remodel or new build job. We loved the results and working with Via was a homeowner's dream instead of the nightmares you often hear about from people brave enough to venture out into the world of remodeling or new build. Out of a possible 5 star rating system (5 being the best), we would give him 6 stars!

Ralph and crew are great. They did our entire house. Good communication and project done on time. When you work with Via, you really get the benefit of their decades of experience. Every detail is taken care of. We have a lot of other friends who've had their houses built by other contractors. We always hear about slipped schedules, inconsistencies like electrical conduits in weird places, etc... Glad we found Ralph! btw...in case you have to do any grading work or need a tennis/hard court, his brother John also does great work (www.Saviano.com). He's currently helping us out w/ our hardscape and landscape.

Via Builders did a magnificent job building our dream home. My wife and I wanted to build a brand new home for our family. We selected Via Builders after seeing a number of homes they build, and also because they have been working in Los Altos for over 30 years. We are very pleased with the result, our house finished early 2014. Great craftsmanship and on-time. I highly recommend working with Via.

Complete teardown and a 7,500 square feet new home construction - Spanish architecture. Ralph Saviano and his team were very professional and experienced. The City of Cupertino was a black hole until Ralph became involved with our construction approval process - he moved it to construction quickly. Our custom home was designed by another and there were some unfinished issues the made the construction challenging. However, Ralph and his team always addressed the unknowns as soon as they arose and provided 2 to 3 solutions to workaround. We have now lived in our home for 5+ years and Via Builders to this day will fix any warranty issues that arise. If we were to build another home we would have Via design and build it! Via Builders have built 2 homes for us. Our last home was a design/build with Via. We could not be happier with their work ethic, attention to detail and the over all attention given to us. They have put together a great team of professionals that love what they're doing and it shows in their finished product.
