Steve Walsh and his crew did two renovations in our house in Cambridge. Five years ago they completely renovated our kitchen, and it continues to look good and function beautifully. Recently they renovated a bathroom, another excellent result. Steve is a gifted , responsive contractor with highly proficient subs and working with him is easy and enjoyable. He takes the misery out of renovation: always on time, on budget, high work quality and professionalism.

This project was a renovation of a 1951 ranch house, with relatively modest changes to the house itself, but the addition of an extended dining room, a garden room, a large porch, and a separate (but connected) building. The work was made more complex and difficult by unexpected pre-existing conditions in the house and considerable ledge on the property. We found Walsh Construction company to be highly professional, sensitive to costs, and determined to meet (and successful in meeting) deadlines. The choice of subcontractors was careful and their performance carefully monitored, and the Walsh crew itself was highly competent and pleasant to have around. We recommend Walsh highly and without hesitation, would use them again ourselves, and hope to retain some of the subs for on-going ordinary maintenance.

I am the landscape designer on a project in which Steve Walsh was the General Contractor last year, in 2013. Steve built an architect-designed remodel with two major additions to an existing house, as well as many of the hard-scape elements of my design for the landscape. During the year that we worked together, I was impressed with Steve's ability to juggle complex elements of construction, his attention to detail, and his ability to work with others to deliver a high quality project. I was particularly impressed with Steve's ability to solve the inevitable challenges that arise during a project of this nature. I have had a close relationship with the clients for many years, so I was keenly aware of how his relaxed and friendly attitude allowed him to forge a positive relationship with them, during all stages of the process. Steve was helpful to me in several ways as the landscape was developed. He had valuable input regarding strategies for making sure that water drained away from the house, especially in a tricky, two-level patio alcove. I worked directly with several of his subs: electrician, plumber, and mason and they were all top-notch and a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve Walsh for the highest quality new construction or remodel projects.

Steve Walsh Construction did an extensive renovation on the kitchen/study/mudroom wing of our antique farmhouse, as well as a lot of work to our basement and heating system. Steve and his guys were a pleasure to work with--timely, thoughtful, expert craftsmanship, and a beautiful outcome. They love their work and take it very seriously, but with smiles on their faces. Steve has the sub-contractors come in on time, and he keeps very close tabs on the whole operation. We feel lucky to have had them do our renovation and recommend them highly.

I engaged Walsh Construction on two occasions: one for a kitchen remodel and main floor update and, most recently, to remodel one bathroom and update another. Steve Walsh is honest, on time, on budget and is a great guy to work with. He has a great team of workmen and subs who all work to a high standard. If there is an issue, Steve is easy to reach and quickly available to come, discuss and resolve any concern. He's been in the business a long time and has lots of experience. Walsh Construction came to us by way of our architect and helped us to successfully complete the renovation of our 1920s Wellesley colonial on time and on budget. Project scope included: new kitchen, master bedroom suite and bath, powder room, front portico and numerous (added) interior and exterior improvements. Throughout the project, Steve Walsh and his team demonstrated a high level of knowledge, professionalism, honesty and quality of workmanship. If anything went wrong, they made it right immediately. They also were creatively able to work outside of the architectural plan, when important details were not available.
