If you want peace of mind, professionalism, integrity, experience, know how, attention to details, intelligence, these are the people to work with. Perhaps the most impressive thing about Watermark, they work very well together, employ the best crews, and use top of the line materials. There was no compromise on quality, and they kept the project progressing on time and within agreed upon budget, and they kept us well informed as to the progress of the project. I am pleased to submit this review on behalf of WaterMark Coastal Homes, LLC. Marc Hayward and Jeff Thomas were enjoyable to work with, and my wife and I thoroughly vetted their business and product before we committed to WaterMark Coastal Homes. We currently live in Delaware, so building a custom home in South Carolina was a little concerning, because of the long distance. That concern was brief as we quickly discovered that Jeff and Marc's communication skills were over the top. They were in continuous communication with us, keeping us up to date with the progress of the construction, from the beginning to the completion. When we had questions. they were always there to give us reasonable answers on a timely basis. We know COVID-19 made their job more difficult, but I can't think of one thing that we were dissatisfied with. Even with all the difficulties and supply issues they were confronted with, they never missed a beat. They are skilled professionals who provide a quality product on a timely manner, at a fair price. As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for" couldn't be truer with Marc and Jeff. As our project is coming to its final stages in Habersham, I wanted to just express my appreciation to both Jeff and Marc. My wife and I have undertaken 4 prior homebuilding projects over the past 20 years here in the Low Country, without a doubt this final undertaking with WaterMark Coastal Homes by far exceeded everyone of those. We have been fortunate enough to have lived in some of the finest communities here(Belfair, Palmetto Bluff), but my wife's heart always belonged to Habersham and Beaufort. We are in the process of building a home and can't imagine working with anyone other than Jeff and Marc! They are the perfect complement to each other-Jeff is such a talented designer and Marc has such a clear sense of what will work best, and look best. They pay attention to every word we say-at every meeting they offer up a "surprise" based on some comment we made at an earlier meeting. They find a way to make things work out even when it looks impossible. I have absolutely no doubt that when our house is finished, it will be everything we wanted and more!

We selected WaterMark Coastal Homes to design and build our dream home in SC. Marc & Jeff guided us thru the entire process from advising which lot might best suit our homes vision all the way thru final completion with landscaping. It's a great advantage to work with one team responsible for both architectural design and construction. The unexpected surprise were the many designer selections from flooring, tile, paint, and fixtures where Marc & Jeff provided recommendations! There many years of experience really paid off. On a final note believe it or not we came in under budget!

Our experience with Watermark Coastal Homes was wonderful. From the beginning planning stages to the finished product nine months later, we couldn't have been more pleased. We are so proud to show off our new home in Habersham, and our guests never fail to comment on the quality of the workmanship.

We hired Watermark for a massive renovation and they were honest and dead-on in their cost projection for our project. They were brilliant in their design and implementation of their ideas. We moved in the day they promised completion. We have lived in our home for 3 years and I would partner with them again tomorrow if I were to do it all again. Perfection and professionalism are the two words I think of to describe this team. Our family is eternally grateful for the gifts they shared with us!

Watermark is our most respected contractor to work for because they are loyal to all their subs, they have a standard of quality, they provide regular work, they are punctual with their scheduling, and they pay on time consistently. We very much appreciate all the great work Watermark has provided us these 8 years!

We chose Watermark Coastal Homes to build our home, primarily for three reasons - 1) their unique design/build process, 2) the quality we saw when walking through other Watermark-built homes, and 3) Jeff and Marc live in the neighborhood. Overall we think the design/build process probably saved us considerable time and money. After meeting first with an architect, it became clear to us that working through any changes with multiple parties would become more complicated, time-consuming, and expensive. Jeff and Marc were very patient as we worked through the house design. And, of course, changes were made along the way so we think their approach worked well. Watermark was the only builder we found with this design/build process. Watermark uses a website for most communications and it worked quite well. All parties could post documents, notes, diagrams, photos, contract revisions, etc. You have one place to go and everything is documented. Since we were living 500 miles away during the build, this system allowed us to keep in touch on a regular basis. Also, Jeff sent us periodic photos of the progress so in between visits, we could see our new home taking shape. Another plus with Watermark is the fact that Jeff and Marc both live in the neighborhood. We have been in our house for over 4 years and Marc came over last fall to help us hang a swing on our front porch! My husband and I started with a pencil drawing we had made on an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper and Watermark turned it into the beautiful home we now live in. We broke ground late April 2007 and took possession on February 14, 2008 (best Valentine's present ever)!

The ability to translate dreams into reality...These were a few of the talents Watermark used to create our beautiful Southern home, infused with many unique, contemporary features. Watermark listened to our idea of integrating more open, clean elements with the charming architectural style of our Habersham community. They eagerly embraced this challenge, expanded upon our thoughts, patiently worked with us to develop the plans, and tirelessly researched new suppliers and materials to bring this vision to life. Their design-build approach also assured us of a highly personal and seamless experience working with both of the firm's principals, from initial concept development and planning, through fixture and materials selection, and during construction. We highly recommend working with this outstanding team!

I can't say enough about the Watermark team! The design process was a fun experience. Jeff was extremely knowledgable, creative and gave us exactly what we wanted.(even kept within the budget!) The building phase was smooth and quick, even from a distance. Great service, communication and follow-through. Marc went over and above to give us what we wanted. I love my home in Habersham, and wouldn't change a thing. Marc and Jeff were wonderful to work with and have become fast friends.
