As the old saying goes "Change Is Good" and if your home is looking a bit dated, you are in good hands with HDS Design to help guide you through whatever changes you want & need to make to your home. What started out as a minor refresh of our extended kitchen / seating area turned into a beautiful transformation of this and so many other rooms - and honestly we could not have envisioned or undertaken this without Haiku's guidance. Her feel for our family's lifestyle as well as a keen sense of style delivered a look that we are not only comfortable in and is a reflection of us, but one that we are proud to say is our home. Haiku has done a great job on our projects (and we're not that easy). We remodeled a poolhouse, re-designed some powder rooms, added appliances to outbuildings where it wasn't clear they could be added without sacrificing aesthetics. Any difficulties we experienced arose from COVID-related supply-chain issues that were beyond Haiku's control. All of her tradespeople have done good work and we have been quite pleased.

Haiku Durden's attention to detail paired with her ability to take a blank palette and create an aesthetic that is warm, inviting, and sophisticated make her an excellent Interior Designer. We would highly recommend her based on these qualities. Haiku and her team were extremely professional, communicative, and delivered a high quality product as the end result. We worked with Haiku on two projects; a dining room and a great room turned into a bar/billiards area. We are thrilled with the results and look forward to working with Haiku on other projects in the future.

If HDS can beautifully (and efficiently) renovate two challenging bathrooms AND completely redesign and refurnish two bedrooms during the height of the pandemic supply chain fiasco, there is nothing they cannot do – nothing! Led by trendsetter & tastemaker Haiku Durden, the HDS team went above and beyond to transform my home from blah to fab...and not break the bank. When encountering an obstacle, HDS was able to quickly make adjustments, problem solve and put forth solutions that did not compromise our overall style goals or blow the budget. My family is thrilled with the work, the professionalism and the services that HDS provided.

Haiku does beautiful, creative work. Her ideas for our den was nothing short of spectacular- it’s now our favorite room in the house. She also took our bland, out of date foyer & turned it into a magazine-worthy space, and our boys’ bathrooms are completely transformed- with Haiku supervising the project every step. I didn’t have to lift a finger! Haiku has an excellent relationship with her suppliers & contractors, which means they actually respond quickly when she calls them- very, very important during any renovation.

I can’t say enough about HDS Design! Haiku Durden is an incredible interior designer and decorator, and has helped us makeover almost our entire house! We used HDS for staging our home to sell. It was overwhelming because we were on a tight time line and budget. But Haiku took charge and brought her style and market sense to the project. She moves quickly and decisively and it's a true gift. She came in within our budget and below others whose recommendations didn't make sense for the age of our home and the sale price we had hoped to get. The result was a house we wish we had updated like it many years before. I plan to use her services at my new place.
