Burton Design & Construction, LLC

After receiving several bids, we chose to work with Burton Design and Construction, LLC (BDC) to remodel our kitchen and living room. We chose BDC because of their professionalism, years of experience, and communication style. We redesigned the kitchen, dining, and living area to create an open floor plan. To create this concept, the removal of a load-bearing wall, removal of a brick chimney, and raising the sunken living room was needed. The new kitchen/living area updates included: new flooring, windows, a sliding door, heating/AC, electrical and plumbing. Engineering changes included new support beams and headers, shear-walls, Simpson strong-wall and foundation changes. The BDC team took great effort to stay on budget. Some unexpected problems arose, but the team immediately communicated the issue to us and quickly made suggestions to keep the project moving forward. The cost for all change orders were clearly presented along with various options for our consideration. We found their advice and recommendations super helpful. Burton Design and Construction did focus on all details from the beginning to the end of our project. This included clear communication with our Town’s inspectors to ensure the remodel was completed to Town Building code. We would highly recommend Burton Design and Construction.

The Burton team was incredible to work with on our major house refurbishment. They handled everything from the idea and design stage, all the way through the project completion. At every step of the way they were a great partner to what we wanted done. A project as big and complicated as ours can be very stressful, but the Burton team made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Not only did they do a flawless job, they were a delight to work with. They were professional, polite, responsive to all requests - and delivered exactly what we wanted. They installed new countertops in a very complex kitchen, designed and built a new base for a table, installed a new roof, rebuilt a deck, added backyard lighting, and lots more. They were always responsive to us, kept us and our interior designer informed on status and timing - and they managed last minute changes that we requested without a problem.
