In the fall of 1971, Wayne and Betty Jo Clawson were thinking hard about opening a lighting store because they were both so intrigued by lighting. They loved the function and design of the fixtures, and liked what they did to change the appearance of an ordinary home. So it was on April 6th of 1972 when their lighing business was incorporated. It was extremely hard for Wayne and Betty at the time because the competition was fierce, and the economy was soft as well. They both knew though from growing up poor and working on the farm that, "you have to work your way through the difficulties in life, and eventually things will get better because that's the way it goes." Betty had a passion for lighting and was a visionary with her showroom keeping ahead of all the trends and importing unique fixtures to offer to her clientele, and Betty’s legacy lives on in the family owned business today. For over Fifty years, we’ve upheld Betty’s vision of crafting visually appealing vignettes in our showroom, and always offer the best deals to our customers. We strive to work on a personal level and give our customers a lifetime impact of true architectural design with every fixture we put in their home. We will continue to provide our customers with all of the latest trends, styles and functionality the lighting industry has to offer.
