With a fresh and modern aesthetic, PJ Hurst DESIGN is an interior architectural design firm. With attention to detail, my goal is to honor the purity of the space, while injecting the client's vision, lifestyle and atmosphere into the project. My approach is to establish an aesthetic balance and unity within your project - while providing utmost functionality. My philosophy is to integrate a mix of spatial warmth and texture with simplicity and restraint. As the founder, PJ Hurst brings a fresh and thoughtful approach to design. She has over 13 years of experience and has worked on a wide variety of full-scale large commercial architecture and design projects to small-scale interiors projects in Southern California and throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently she worked at tammy edmonds DESIGN in Los Angeles, focused on defining interior spaces at a variety of private airports throughout the country and internationally, including a Calibre Award winning project located in San Diego, CA. PJ previously worked at boutique interior design firms focused on high-end and luxury private residences, restaurants and hospital facilities. PJ holds a BFA, Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach and gained an extensive business development and marketing background at one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms, Ernst & Young.
