Hodgin Construction, Inc.

Hodgin Construction Recommendation Let’s face it. Home improvement projects can be disruptive, messy, expensive, and take a long time. And after all that materials come in late, or don’t come in at all because they’ve been discontinued. So, it’s really important to choose your construction professional very carefully because you’re going to trust a lot to someone you hardly know. We have a main bath, full guest bath, and a half-bath – which we decided to do all at the same time. The main bath needed to be torn back to the studs as everything needed replacement. We were getting rid of a Jacuzzi, that took up a lot of space, and we never used and replacing it with a bigger shower and short cabinets for storage and sitting. New tile, new fixtures, new vanities, new everything. The remodel involved electrical and plumbing – a lot of plumbing. This would be a big project so who to call? Turns out there’s the Hodgin Construction whose owners reside in our HOA. We checked them out and there was a lot to like. A big one was construction would not start until ALL the materials were available. We were not looking forward to being without our main bath, but we had already been burned by projects that started and then were significantly delayed because something or other was out of stock or no longer available. (See kitchen remodel above.) The Hodgin team consists of Lee – the expert in construction, building codes, contractors and Liz – an expert in design, vendors, and the details necessary to keep things moving along. Together they form a great team that complements each other perfectly. Liz and Lee spent hours with us at several showrooms going over the selection of tile, fixtures, cabinets, colors, textures, and the million things that go into such a remodel. We agreed on a detailed contract and scheduled the project. When all the critical materials were in hand, construction started and kept to the original schedule! Liz kept us up to date with costs and scheduled payments. The payments were spread out over the length of the contract and coincided with material purchases and labor costs. The result was amazing! It far exceeded our expectations. Lee and Liz kept track of the contractor’s work and spotted rework items before we did. We have no doubt that the value of our house jumped by more than the cost of the renovation. One other point. The selection of subcontractors is critical. Every single person who came to the job site was courteous and professional. One said that they really valued working for Hodgin because they were respected and they could reliably schedule their work out in advance. The other two bathrooms proceeded just as well and kept to the schedule. Unlike our kitchen remodel, we have no regrets in choosing the route we did. It’s a good feeling when one gets a result that is much better than what we were expecting. We would use Hodgin Construction again and they receive the highest recommendation we can give.

Lee came highly recommended from other homeowners in my community. He exceeded all my expectations in repairing and remodeling my upstairs master bathroom and downstairs kitchen after an upstairs pipe burst . The quality of his work was fantastic, he was communicative and easy to work with throughout the remodel, he offered a great overall price, and the work was completed on time.

Lee did an excellent job with our deck rebuild. He was fair, knowledgeable, communicative and professional throughout the process. I highly recommend Hodgin construction!

Lee Hodgin and his associate, Juan Diaz, did and excellent, timely, professional job of adding 2 railings to our stairwell. Juan bent over backwards to get them to match our existing railings. I would highly recommend Lee for his service.⁷
