Kayla Nixon lives and works in Fort McMurray Alberta, where she was born and raised before moving to Calgary to complete her degree in Interior Design. She created her company as a homage to her grandmother, Simone, the woman that taught her how to sew, how to be a home-maker, and how to swap your whole home decor situation around to fit each season and drive your husband mad. What started as a custom home textile side job turned into a fully realized design studio with one goal in mind: to create interiors that brought out the best of their owners. The Simone Co. is centered around the values of meditation and self-compassion practices; which have inspired Kayla to lead a mindful, authentic life. Here we strive to be transparent with our process, open with our communication, and accepting of all client lifestyles, budgets, and circumstances.
