We are in the middle of our second design job with Carmen. The first one was done early & under budget. We were very pleased. The second one is turning our unfinished basement into livable space. We needed a gym, a wine cellar, storage, and an extra bedroom plus bath. We love and trust all of the subcontractors Carmen has hired and we are only week behind because we added to the scope of the project. People have commented on how easy & hassle free our experience has been. And for what we are getting, the price isn't bad either especially in this economy.

Fabulous taste and wonderful results. Have had many projects and Carmen is creative, caring and very professional. Her eye for color is wonderful.

In 2008, Carmen was our Interior Designer at our new home. We were amazed at the way she worked with the many antiques and artifacts we had and she arranged everything in an orderly perfect way in a short time . All our guests and friends that visited were in awe of how everything was in its perfect place. In late 2023, I sold our house and moved out of State to a new home. The style and configuration is totally different and I was at a loss as to place the items I brought with me. As I looked around for an Interior Designer to help me, I was disappointed with my interviews and I decided to find Carmen after 16 years, I could not find her at her contact location of 2008. I kept searching until I located her at houzz through an email I sent to connect me with her not knowing if she remembered us and if she would be willing to travel to another state across country. She received the message and I was delighted to hear she would come. She is a perfectionist, a worker with an incredible vision and a delight to work with. After she completed her work, I told her that I once again now felt like I had a home and it was not just a house I was living in until she completed my move to a new house and location. She is the best.

Carmen at BPL Design is such a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with. I’ve loved working with her on 3 projects for me over the last 3 years. This review is for the master bathroom project. Here I wanted to convert an ugly departmentalized bathroom into a Mediterranean feel open bathroom with a large shower with plenty of light adding warmth both in looks and in reality with heated flooring. The results are stunning. You can see how the shower is big and roomy, the room elegant and bright. The toilet is hidden without compromising the openness of the space. The new lofted roof and lighting adds to a really big space. The heated floor is wonderful to walk into on a cold winters morning. Carmen I congratulate you on delivering a wonderfully designed bathroom exactly how I dreamed it would be. Thank you!

Working with Carmen has been a great experience! She’s a knowledgeable builder who values skilled craftsmanship, has eye for design, and uses high quality materials. We needed a wheelchair accessible full bathroom created & laundry moved to the first floor. It meant a full gut of a big area, designing the bathroom & creating a laundry/pantry. Carmen really pays attention to all the details & talked with us about how we would use the space. Her crew kept our house amazingly dust free. Carmen’s team also fixed many problems left by a previous contractor & because she was thorough when she visited to write her estimate, her pricing for doing that was spot on. The contract & any changes were written, clear, & fair. We definitely recommend BPL Design Group.

Carmen is the best designer and contractor I have ever had. Everything she does is absolutely stunning and she has a great personality. She is very talented and she has a great sense of style.

I wish I could put 0 stars to this business and person. If you want to end up taking legal action against someone, this is it. Terrible job, left our house worse than before they came and claimed spent $22,300 (what we paid her for nothing). We had to re-do everything. Only a few pictures shared below of how she claimed this is 90% complete before abandoning the project. Had to do collages to share more. I guess the trash they left behind in the rest of the house counts towards their completion.

Carmen was wonderful to work with from the beginning to the end of our master bathroom remodeling project. Always available to talk with during the designing process and the remodel. Carmen turned our boring old bathroom into a spa-like oasis.

BPL Design steered us in the right direction for a total kitchen makeover. She kept us updated on timelines and changes. The kitchen turned out fabulous. Total transformation! Thank you Carmen! See you on our next project in the Spring! Carole Kearns
