MJB Construction Services

It’s a pleasure working with Matt. We especially appreciated his professionalism, cleanliness and craftsmanship. Matt was able to help us with our kitchen, bath and living room remodel. I recommend you jump at the opportunity to have him help you on your next project. You won’t be disappointed.

Matt from MJB is honest, reliable, skilled, experienced, organized, detail oriented, easy going, hard working but work smart. Matt's patient but fast, with a positive can-do attitude. Matt offers his skilled experienced advice/opinions, but he doesn't impose or force his view. Matt does his best to make your vision a reality, with fantastic quality results, while managing costs. Have enjoyed working with Matt so much that we started on a 3rd bathroom remodel with Matt this week. My wife and I (but mostly me) often end up in a situation where we start a bunch of projects, lots of them, but then we take ages to get around to completing them. A familiar story? Fortunately a good friend recommended we work with Matt at MJB to accelerate completing our projects. Matt initially helped tile our kitchen backsplash, tile a powder room backsplash, hang medicine mirror cabinet and hang misc bathroom hardware. Pretty soon, we learned about the various skills and experiences Matt has. Matt's previously done everything from remodeling, extending and building houses, and even churches! So, we asked Matt if he could also help with our Master bath remodel. Progress on our large Master Bath remodel ($80k+) was slow before we met Matt. Matt quickly ramped up on the current state of our large rough-in completed bathroom remodel. Matt helped us prioritize, plan and execute completion of outstanding tasks. Matt helped massively accelerate progress of our master bath project. Matt ended up doing various framing, tile, carpentry, millwork, drywall, paint, installing/hanging fixtures, hang swing and pocket doors, fasten and paint door/baseboard/window trim, restoring cabinets, and various other projects/tasks in the bathroom and through out the house even. This was my 6th bathroom remodel, so bear in mind that I've worked with quite a few contractors before... Note our Master bathroom has an obscene amount of tech with various features/components that had to be invented for the build. e.g. Alexa enabled shower/steam, steam shower with glass mosaic ceiling with custom Aurora Borealis inspired lighting, toilet vanity with backlit glass mosaic tiles... Through out this and other projects, Matt has been extremely flexible, collaborative and accommodating with helping make our crazy ideas real. Thank you Matt!

Matt Bayley from MJB construction was great to work with. He helped us with projects large and small. We recently purchased a new home in need of major updates and inspection report fixes. Matt shored up some inadequate rafter supports, put in a casement doorway to open up the kitchen, and plastered a fireplace surround. Most importantly, he rebuilt 23 failing support posts under the house. Matt’s work was on-time and on-budget. When you ask him to do something he gets to work and does a great job. He took his time looking at the entire support system of the house and provided a thorough inspection. He identified the posts that looked ok, but were not. He pointed out where posts had previously been and were now just gone. The house is over 120 years old. With Matt’s help, I think it will continue to stand the test of time on a more solid base than before. Matt is great to work with. He has a methodical approach that is very professional. He is a hard working and honest contractor.
