After caregiving my parents for 10+ years until their passing I found I needed someone for extensive renovation on the home we shared. As I had no personal knowledge of local contractors I turned to a local forum and friends for recommendations. After reviewing multiple responses i noticed one person Andy Husk (Oak Hill Construction)who was at or near the top of most recommendations. I called and hired him and in retrospect it was one of the best choices I’ve made. Although I’m sometimes slow to trust it only took a few days to realize I was very comfortable with my choice as I found Andy to be honest, trustworthy, hard working, quality oriented and had a great sense of humor. His communication skills were great while keeping me informed of all the work done during the progression of projects. Whenever any subcontractor work was needed Andy would always check with me to ensure I was pleased with their work and I found this to be very reassuring and typical of his style of communication. The amount of work during multiple projects was extensive including but not limited to the following: A new front deck and footings, a new back deck and footings (prior decks sat on ground), new sliding glass door from kitchen to back deck, new sola-tube in interior windowless bathroom, new wood floors along hallway and in master, new beedboard and chair rail plus wall rack for coats in foyer, new tile work in all three bathrooms plus laundry room and sewing room, new granite countertops and sink/ faucet in kitchen, new blown-in insulation for entire attic, new attic support structure for entire roof, new trim for doors, window and baseboard for entire house, new breathable soffits for entire house and finally a new roof plus newest ridge venting structure along entire 80x30 ranch house plus numerous small items. To say I was pleased would be an understatement as Andy and family have become great friends of mine making this choice one of my best. I highly recommend Oak Hill Construction if you’re looking for someone hardworking that you can trust implicitly.

We hired Andy Husk and his crew at Oak Hill Construction in 2018 to build a 3700 square foot post and beam house with fine detail throughout the house. He was meticulous in his approach and execution, excellent attention to detail, very fine finish carpentry skills and amazing contracting skills. He had great interface skills with both us (his clients), his subcontractors, and his own work crew. He kept us appraised every step of the way of costs, alternatives and solutions. Andy is courteous and a real pleasure to work with. Our finished project is a masterpiece.

We hired Oak Hill Construction to replace damaged/rotted trim on our home and to replace the roof. Since we had no deadline nor immediate problems, we were very flexible about timing. We also gave them free reign to replace trim as needed in addition to our initial estimate as they found issues along the way. We are very confident about the quality of the work performed. Every issue was explained as it arose. Working with Andy Husk, the company owner, is always pleasant. The crew we had on the job (Ryan, Ben, and Eli) were always professional, personable, and cleaned up every evening before leaving.. Ryan is a superb finish carpenter. This is the second job they have done for us and we would welcome them back at any time. We highly recommend their work.

Hi, I would highly recommend Oak Hill Construction to you. Andy Husk and his crew did a fantastic job renovating our house. We have a 5,000 square foot house that is 40 years old. They completely renovated the house into a brand new house. A complex situation managed very nicely so we have a new home now.
