Shores Building & Construction, Inc.

We are so pleased with the work Shores Building and Construction did for us. We completely remodeled our kitchen, primary bath, and a guest bath; additionally, we expanded the primary closet and moved the laundry room to an open entryway that was not currently a functional space, just cosmetic. The last part was a tricky process, as Steven and team had to reverse engineer this space to make it a working laundry room (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more), but he and his team worked diligently to make sure they got it right, down to every detail. That care and attention to detail was evident throughout the rest of the remodel, as everything turned out exactly like—or better than—the AI renderings we created for each space. Steven, Tiffany, and team are the perfect blend of professional and personable, as we trusted them and felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The budget and timeline were also right in line with what they quoted with no surprises whatsoever. Additionally, we stayed here with our two young children throughout the remodel, and the crew kept the house clean and functioning (laundry, refrigerator access, etc.) the entire time. We can’t say enough good things and are already planning our next project with them!

From the initial consultation to the final day of the project, the team was professional, clean, and flexible in creating the perfect bathroom upgrade. They showed up on time every day and handled everything with care and efficiency, including the full bathtub removal and installation of a modern shower. Their clear communication, great recommendations, and exceptional quality of work made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The finished bathroom looks amazing and I highly recommend them for any renovation.

We recently completed a major home renovation project with Shores, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included painting our kitchen cabinets, replacing countertops, backsplash, appliances, flooring on two levels, remodeling the master bathroom with a new tile shower and bath, updating bathroom vanities and tile, replacing the fireplace surround, and adding new lighting and paint throughout our home. Steven was incredibly responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and diligent throughout the entire process. He communicated clearly, quickly addressed any potential issues or change orders, and kept everything running smoothly. When we weren’t completely sure about some of the bathroom details, he offered thoughtful input and suggestions that turned out beautifully, and we were so happy with the final results. The team consistently showed up on time, delivered high-quality work, and worked very efficiently without sacrificing attention to detail. Tiffany was also wonderful to work with. She was always quick to respond, patiently answered all of our questions, and was incredibly helpful as we prepared for such a large project. We would absolutely recommend Shores Building & Construction to anyone looking for a friendly, professional, trustworthy, and highly skilled team for their home renovation project.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Can’t say enough good things about Steven and his team. They were so helpful with every step of the process and made it such an enjoyable project. They completely transformed our first floor in less than 5 weeks and with such attention to detail and craftsmanship. We will definitely be doing future projects with Shores Building and Construction!

Working with Shores Building has been an awesome experience. They are professional, easy to work with and do excellent work. We have a house built in the 1930’s, so tearing into walls is always an adventure. Stephen and his team handled all the unexpected things with great skill and we ended up with a beautiful finished product. We definitely plans to use them again for our next project.

Steven & his crew were professional, did great work and stayed on our timeline! He was also very helpful in giving ideas.

From initial consultation to completion of job, we have been nothing but pleased with SB&C. The guidance and patience given to us was outstanding, as we had never undertaken a renovation before. Design questions were answered without hestitation and did not disappoint! Our new kitchen and bathrooms make our house feel like home now. We will not hesitate to recommend SB&C, and they will be our contractor for any future projects.

Steven and his team are a detailed, professional and a well organized crew. They completed a full kitchen renovation with demo, electrical, plumbing, lighting, drywall work, paint and installation of cabinets, appliances and countertops in a short period of time. They are absolutely incredible. I highly recommend Shores Construction without any hesitation for all your projects and renovations, big or small.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Shores Building and Construction. They communicated every step of the way and helped us attain the look we wanted. Everything was completed efficiently and with care.

Steven Shores and his team completed a total renovation on a house in East Nashville for my son. We witnessed first hand the quality of their craftsmanship and scheduling. When it was time for a renovation of our house there was only one company that we considered. They started the project when promised and finished as scheduled! Steven communicated with us throughout the project so there were no surprises. We will use them again.

Steven did a remodel of our powder room. He was very professional and supervised the job and made sure everything was done to our specifications. His workers were very professional and cleaned up after they were done. I highly recommend Steven Shores.

Shore’s remodeled my bathroom changing my tub/shower to a tiled step in shower. He did a beautiful job in a timely fashion. The subcontractors were equally professional working on schedule and managing dust and mess as well as could be expected.

Steve and his crew are at the top of their game, and they continue to impress with the quality, workmanship and attention to detail. After the great work Steve did on our two bathroom remodels a couple years ago, we recently had our kitchen totally remodeled with Steve's design tips, including the utility room. Shores laid tile, new countertops and an island, lighting, new appliances, new sinks/faucets and the custom cabinets are awesome. In our unfinished basement, Steve helped us design and build a new rec/bonus room adding 850 sq ft., with a full bathroom and large walk in storage closet. Steve's crew laid LVP flooring, new drywall/ceiling, new hvac, new water lines, electrical, new lighting and doors. In the garage area, Steve installed our dog wash station, and new wall paint and epoxy floor looks awesome. Bonus- Steve is the type of hands-on contractor with onsite management of the project from start to finish.

We hired Steven & his team to remodel both of our bathrooms, Master & guest. They did a great job! Every step of the process was fully explained, communication was excellent. Every day we knew what was being done, how long it would take & who would be performing the work. We went over every detail, from the design of the tile, to the placement of fixtures and light switches. The quality of the work & finishes were excellent. They were great at keeping the areas clean & protected during the construction process, as well as the clean up after the project was complete. This was our first major home renovation project & it was a positive experience from start to finish. Both of our bathrooms look beautiful, and turned out just the way we wanted. I would highly recommend them!

Shores Building and construction completely updated two bathrooms in our home. They worked every day they could to make the project as short as possible. The quality of work was exceptional and we are very happy with the finished project.

If you’re looking to remodel your home, I highly recommend Shores Building and Construction. They just finished remodeling our master bathroom and they did a fabulous job! They are extremely professional, always on time and very responsive! The entire experience was top notch. They finished on time and on budget!

Steven and his crew replace our deck last week and we couldn’t be more pleased. The quality of their workmanship is top notch and they are so easy to work with. We had a little glitch in the end and Steven came right over and went above and beyond to satisfy us. You can’t go wrong with Shores Building and Construction.

I cannot recommend Shores Building & Construction enough! I found them here on Houzz and reached out to them when I was six months pregnant wanting to remodel my kitchen and bathroom. Steven got back to me within a matter of hours and met with me two days later for an estimate. I was on a strict time line and they delivered beyond expectation. They told me it would be an 8-10 week remodel and they finished EXACTLY when they said they would. Not only were they hardest working contractors I have ever had the pleasure of working with, their work is beautiful and their attention to detail is impressive. Communication was also excellent. Before we hired Shores Building & Construction, I was seriously thinking about moving, but now I'm not going anywhere. I love my remodel more than I ever thought I could. I seriously cannot recommend these guys enough.

Steven Shores and his team completely gutted and remodeled our entire rental home in East Nashville in less than 8 weeks! There’s not a corner he didn’t touch! Brand new kitchen and bathroom as well as new flooring, updates to the exterior and more! He was efficient, knowledgeable, professional and personable. We had a unique situation in that we live out of state, were doing this project remotely and had a brand new baby at home. Steven took it on confidently, and we really trusted him to be our eyes on the ground, and to make good decisions and recommendations. His communication, attention to detail and honesty are what make him a great contractor. We’d love to hire him again in the future if the opportunity comes. We are so happy with his work and highly recommend him for any of your construction or renovation needs!

Steven was so great to work with! He made our new kitchen beautiful! He was quick and had great attention to detail. Can’t wait use Steven to update our master bath next!

Steven and team did a major remodel for us in spring 2021, and we loved the quality of his work and his dedication to staying on schedule and budget. We're extremely pleased with the results and are happy to recommend him to anyone for a variety of job types. He is extremely capable, reliable and honest, and was very easy to work with.

Highly recommend. On time or early every day. Great communication. Very very satisfied customers. Steven showed up even in the TN weeklong blizzard and sleet storm to work. This was a major kitchen remodel.

We were searching for a contractor experienced in all facets of hands-on bathroom remodeling. Thankfully, we were able to find Steven and were very pleased. First off- we have a late-70's ranch home in Donelson that we've lived in for over 30 years and needed a total remodel of two bathrooms (master bath, hall bath). After Steve came out and gave us a quote and we contracted, we then worked with Steve in designing two spa bathrooms; from there, Steve worked with us daily in overseeing his construction crew (not subcontractors) to insure everything was to our satisfaction, from initial demolition to the end of the project. The master bath included a new walk-in closet (combining two existing basic closets), a large steam shower with steam controls, new faucet, sitting bench and wall niche), including new vanity and new toilet (with Toto bidet seat of course). New ceilings, new dry walls, painting, new tile and crown moldings throughout both baths, including new faucets, new plumbing, new electrical and junction boxes, new cabinet in the walk-in closet (the cabinet also serves as a location for the steam generator), etc. For the hall bath- Steve built us a free-standing shower where we had a linen closet previously, plus Steve and crew installed a fantastic over-sized air -jetted tub from American Standard which is the bomb. New LED lighted mirror, new vanity, new faucets, new toilet with bidet seat, subway tile plus some beautiful glass tile for a waterfall effect and a sliding shower door installed in hall bath, including new light fixtures, can ceiling lights and exhaust fans in both baths. Steve also smoothed out the popcorn ceiling in our master bed room and installed new lightings and crown moldings. We worked with Steve in picking out the tile, and Steve also provided guidance and suggestions on our purchases of all the faucets, lighting, steam generator, etc well in advance of the project kick off date. We hope to work with Steve on finishing out our basement construction including a new full bath with dog washing station.

Steven and his team did a great job on our total master bathroom remodel. He showed great attention to detail, he was responsive to our questions or any concerns, his team was honest, punctual, and kept to the timeline, and he delivered a great finished product. He was involved every step of the way. We hope to use him for future projects in our home, and we have have referred him to friends. We think that speaks volumes. Thanks, Steven!

We had a LOT of work that needed to be done in our condo: remodel the kitchen, remodel the downstairs bathroom (including drywall repair), install new flooring, replace the carpeted stairs with vinyl & wood, scrape the popcorn ceilings, and paint the whole downstairs. Steven did it all in 10 days, and we are SO pleased with the results! He was very responsive and professional, and had a lot of good ideas when we needed input. We would recommend him to anyone!

We used Steven to finish the basement of our new home. He helped us think about how we intended to use the space then designed and built a wonderful basement - he was professional, responsive and very close to budget. Very communicative throughout the project! We will definitely use Shores Building and Construction again!

We used Shores Building for a big renovation project inside and outside our house. They converted our unused semi finished attic into an incredible living space complete with bedroom, bathroom, and office area. We also had them replace our siding, gutters, and driveway as well as work on our plumbing and electrical panel. They really can do it all. Steven and his team were professional, thorough, on time, and meticulous in their work. They are hardworking, honest, and upbeat guys. It was a big renovation for us and in hindsight, I don't think there is anyone else I would have wanted to do the job.

We just used Shores Building and Construction for our hall bathroom remodel and can not say enough great things about them. Steven really knows his business and is very efficient. The remodel took only 4 days which was unbelievable. They always cleaned up before they left and were very professional. I will definitely use them again!

Hands-down, I'd recommend Shores Building & Construction to anyone! Steven and his crew are amazing craftsmen to work with. Not only were they polite and professional as individuals, but they were committed to doing things the right way and would start a conversation if we discovered anything on the architect's plan (or that we found during demo) that was a concern. Their principled approach of not cutting corners shows in the final result. The estimate Shores gave was very accurate - less than $1500 in change orders for an over $65k renovation. The results we have on our master bathroom, closet, and home reconfiguration are dramatic and stunning. They made the process easy and we couldn't be happier.

Steven Shores did a fantastic job gutting and remodeling my master bath and guest bath. The job was completed in two and half weeks and very close to budget. His attention to detail and perfectionism showed. He even started over on the shower seat because he didn't like the way it looked.. He left the rooms clean every day. He showed up on time every day. He helped me make decisions by bringing tile samples, and steered my in the right direction on every choice I had to make. He updated me daily on his progress. Steven's character is solid, and I enjoyed talking with him each day. I highly recommend Shores Building and Construction if you want the job done right, done well, and done in a timely manner.

I hired Steven for my kitchen remodel and couldn't be happier with the work that he did. He was professional, timely, knowledgeable, and respectful of me and my roommates. He was able to start quickly, finished the majority of the project within a week, and always left the space cleaner than how he found it. He was able to answer all of my questions and advise me which direction to move throughout the project. I love my new kitchen and would highly recommend Steven for your construction needs!

I would highly recommend Steven for remodel work! My bathroom turned out better than I expected and couldn't be happier. The timeline was easy to work with and his work is very professional. He knows what he is doing!

Steven is reliable, punctual, and a very skilled contractor. He completed 3 bathrooms for us and we are extremely pleased. I would highly recommend him (and already have to lots of friends and neighbors!). You will not be disappointed if you go with Steven

Steven and his crew were incredible. He was done on time and on budget. Everything was carried out perfectly as Steven is very meticulous. I found him the final day cleaning the floors on his hands and knees. That’s how much he cares! He carried out my creative vision flawlessly. Honestly, 5 stars across the board!!

Steven and his team were excellent! The project was finished quickly and with excellent quality! I expected the project to take twice as long as it did. They tidied up each night before leaving and again when the project was finished. It looks exactly as I hoped it would look and I LOVE it. I HIGHLY recommend Shores Building & Construction!

Shores building is amazing. Steven installed hardwood flooring in my home that included stairs. I had several other tell me they could not do the stairs, but Steven did a great job. He was on time and prepared with whatever tools were needed. I am now working with Steven for more work in my home. He is a very special person I would recommend Shores Company for job you are heading done. Give them a chance. You will not be disappointed!

Shores Construction is a PLEASURE to work with. I would highly recommend them to everyone! They provide a beautiful final product with quick turn around and excellent customer service! Thanks for creating my dream home environment!!!!

Shores building has done several projects for us, his work is top notch and he is very easy to work with. Communications are thorough and straight forward. Highly recommend working with Steven for any project!

Our experience with Shores Construction could not have been better. We had 3 different contractors come in to quote a 275sq ft tile install and even though Stevens quote was on the mid to upper range on price we still chose him. The biggest factor in considering these guys were that Steven was the only individual who without being pushy made sure to follow up in the weeks and months after he originally stopped by. We also chose him because he is a good dude. Kind and conscientious during the whole thing and we felt more than comfortable having him and his crew in and out of our home. Would recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a contractor to do a wide variety of remodeling.

Steven Shore recently remodeled our bathroom, tiled another bathroom and put up backslash in our kitchen. He and his crew were efficient and very respectful to us and our home. We only had a general idea of what we wanted to have done but he provided us with suggestions on our shower build out and flooring. They did an excellent job and we were very happy with the redesign. We would definitely rehire them for any future remodels in our home.
