Canal Custom Builders

Canal Custom Builders is a locally owned residential construction company serving Richmond and Central Virginia. We specialize in renovations, additions, ADUs, outdoor living, and custom residential construction, with a focus on professional project management, clear communication, and quality craftsmanship. With more than 10 years of residential and commercial construction management experience, owner Chris Lewis brings hands-on construction knowledge and professional project leadership to every project. From transforming an existing home to expanding it or building something entirely new, our goal is to make the construction process organized, transparent, and well managed from planning through completion. As a Virginia Class A Licensed Contractor, Canal Custom Builders approaches every project with honesty, attention to detail, and accountability. We believe homeowners should know what to expect, understand what's happening with their project, and feel confident in the team working on their home. Thoughtfully planned. Professionally managed. Built the right way. At Canal Custom Builders, we're not just building and renovating homes. We're building lasting relationships rooted in trust and service.
