I had the absolute pleasure of working with Minh in early 2025. We needed to renovate our current home to meet the growing needs of our family. Our home which is over 100 years old has undergone several small renovations over the years resulting in a patchwork home. Needless to say improving the layout was a challenge. Minh’s vision for our home blew us away! He listened to our needs and came up with an innovative layout, all while considering time, budget, and other constraints. Minh’s interpersonal skills, creative talent, and technical expertise are truly outstanding. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Minh or work with him again.

Minh was fantastic. We came to the point where our children needed separate rooms and needed a new layout for our house. Minh was able to balance our needs and our wants. Our builder recommended Minh to design our family home and laneway house and we are very happy to have worked with him to build our dream home. Minh is detail-oriented and very knowledgeable about the local zoning regulations and codes which made our work efficient. His initial design of our home checked off our entire wishlist. We only had some minor edits and he was very quick to attend to them. He looked after the whole application with the City of Vancouver and put us at ease through the entire process. We worked with Minh in 2021-2022 to design our forever home. He was patient, professional, and had great communication. He listened carefully and made sure to customize our home to suit some of our specific needs, like making sure our existing furniture fit in the space, building a nook for our upright piano, fitting in a kitchen pantry, and creating a large kitchen in the basement suite. For the exterior, he created a design based off our inspiration images and we love it. Even after receiving our building permit, if we had any questions, he always answered them quickly. We found Minh very easy to work with and would recommend him to anyone.

Amy and I have been blessed with working with Minh on our new family house project. He came strongly recommended by our builder and he has exceeded our expectations. Minh and his team are very quick, efficient and knowledgeable. They helped us with the design, drawings and submissions for our new duplex in Vancouver. Minh guided me through the feasibility of each of my requirements against budget and ensured everything conformed to all bylaws. PDDA Ltd. and Minh did a fantastic job in designing our laneway house in Vancouver. Minh was able to meet our request and design us a laneway house that somehow was able to utilize every nook and cranny. Literally there was no wasted space in our design and many visitors to our laneway complimented on how spacious the place is despite its small size. Without being bias we firmly believe we have to best looking laneway house on the block. We are grateful that Minh was able to provide us with such a functional laneway house design and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Could not be happier with what PDDA Ltd has created for our home. We wanted to have more of a connection to the outdoors and really didn't have much of an idea of how or even where to start. Minh was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad that he was the one on this project. From our first meeting, Minh put us at ease by walking us through the whole process and taking the lead in dealing with the city and permits and all else that came with this project. Minh communicated with us throughout the project and was always available for all my never-ending questions and last-minute changes. I worked with pinnacle decision on our custom built house. Minh was amazing to work with, he was able to design a house that fit all our needs and was able to establish a great working relationship were he was available to take my call, schedule meetings around our availability and have open discussions to make changes we felt fit for us. Minh also accommodated all our requests. It just wasn’t the design aspect of working with him but also his involvement with the city and submitting the plans and finding ways to expedite our proposal to the city so that we could get started on the build as soon as possible. Even after our build Minh checked in this us and if I had any questions he was readily available. Minh was also great in working with our builder and trades to ensure that his design matched the build and met all the city requirements. I was very pleased with Pinnacle that I recommended them to two other friends who both hired him and feedback from them is they really enjoyed working with Minh My experience overall was great and never had any negative interactions w Minh.

Minh at Pinnacle Decision helped us conceptualize, plan, draw and receive approved permits from the city for our extensive home renovations. He was always willing to discuss the plans in detail, providing context for architectural and design choices in an understandable way, and worked well with the other consultants and contractors on the project. He was quick to respond to our questions, timely with city submissions and a huge support in arranging logistics for the building permit and amendments. We could not be happier with the laneway house PDDA designed for us. Throughout the project PDDA communicated well to us and guided us through the steps and reasoning behind each of their design decisions. Initially our place only had one full bath but we really wanted another full bath in our master bedroom As laneway houses had limited square footage we did not think it would be possible but PDDA somehow worked their magic in square footage calculations and special exemptions and somehow managed to fit a full bath upstairs in our master bedroom and we couldn't be happier. In addition PDDA designed our place so that there would be no wasted space. Every weird roofing angle was somehow turned into storage area. Throughout the construction period PDDA was constantly on-site to ensure the laneway house was constructed according to their designs. Many friends that come over to visit our small laneway are simply amazed by the efficient use of space and design. Whenever we decided to build a full house in the future, PDDA will definitely be the ones we turn to.

We removed the existing 1 bedroom and bathroom on the top floor of our home and expanded it to include 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and our laundry. Minh Ta was the designer and was very professional and thorough on our project. Minh managed the entire process of submitting the permits with the City of Vancouver, and was always available and open to hear our concerns and make modifications when we had them. Minh Ta was introduced to us by our builder to help design out family home in Kitsilano Vancouver. We were using another architect for our previous home builds but was recommended Minh because he had extensive knowledge in home design and architecture for new Vancouver home builds. As you may or may not know, the building codes in Vancouver unique, difficult to understand and interpret into real life designs without incurring subjective review of the City of Vancouver. Rules are ever changing in Vancouver and having a competent and experienced architect is key to successfully submitting and passing a set of plans for your dream home in an efficiently timed manner. Our application process to final acceptance was almost exactly four months which had blown away previous estimates of year to year and half (advised to us by other friends who had build recently). The reason for this quick turnaround was due to Minhès knowledge and ability to create our dreams in a passable set of plans under the current building codes of the times. Minh is highly informative, helpful, a great listener and I would recommend him to anyone hoping to build their dream home.
