DAG Contractors

I strongly advise against hiring Daniel Gonzalez (DAG contractors). My experience with him was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. He consistently provided misleading information regarding permits and updates from the township, which caused unnecessary delays and confusion. Despite multiple assurances, he failed to commence the project within a reasonable timeframe, ultimately leading to his termination. It became clear that he is more of a glorified salesman than an actual contractor. He has no real team, takes no accountability, and lacks the professionalism needed to get the job done. If you’re looking for reliability, transparency, and efficiency, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and avoid this contractor at all costs.

It was a true pleasure to have DAG Contractors work for me. These guys help me renovate two residential multi-family investment homes I own in Rutherford NJ. They worked within my financial budget and did an amazing job constructing and most importantly a beautiful finished product using Home Depot supplies. Highly recommend DAG Contractors and the owner Dan. DAG has now completed 2, full gut, house renovations for me. One project a 2 family investment property which included 2 bedroom, kitchen, full bathroom, and laundry in each unit. The second project my residence, a single family including 3 bedroom, kitchen, 2 full bath, mudroom and basement. Dan provided excellent sub contractors, vendors, and manufacturers throughout the entire project. Whenever I found materials which weren't available, Dan was quick to find me another vendor or provide alternate recommendations. He was on top of every permit and code requirement, ensuring we met all standards and pushing the town to keep progressing when the town held up inspections or caused other delays. Throughout the course of each project, never once did I hear 'we cannot do this.' I only heard recommendations and solutions which kept to my design, timeline and budget. Dan is an excellent communicator and a big reason why I continue to work with DAG. He has always been quick to respond, solution oriented, and transparent throughout the entire process. I always knew the state of my project, any risks, and had a plan that worked for me. It's always been a positive experience and I have full trust Dan has my best interests in mind. I plan to use DAG in the future and highly recommend DAG and the owner Dan. You will not be disappointed.

Dan has an expert eye and the experience to match allowing him to see and suggest solutions to areas of our build that were not in line with our vision and expectations. He really listens and understands his clients and always keeps their best interests at the forefront of his service. He is an expert in residential builds, a savvy negotiator, he has a wide network of excellent relationships with a variety of best in class vendors. Because of all of this Dan is able to secure great pricing and genius alternatives when needed (think about back orders, prices increasing, and other covid delays)….Dan finds a best case solution without us having to worry about it. Dans excels at multitasking and keeping the projects on time and on budget. He will go above and beyond to ensure his clients are satisfied with the product and the service. Having him as our owners rep for our new build has brought confidence to us every step of the way. Because of Dan’s support and guidance our first new home build has been a fun process, free of worry, doubt, or those unexpected surprises you always fret about. Do yourself a favor and hire DAG - you will not be disappointed and your project will turn out better than you could have ever imagined.
