Lois’s life in a Garden began in Oregon, and followed a windy trail through Corporate America, to building homes in Southern California and finally to Landscape Design, which has been her focus and passion for more than 20 years. Lois started her own Landscape Company, while studying Landscape Design and Architecture at UCLA. During her 15+ years of designing projects in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California, she appeared as a featured Designer on a number of HGTV Landscape shows, and was invited by NBC to appear on The Today Show to do a feature presentation on Spring planting. In 2009 Lois made the decision to move from California to Nashville, Tennessee, and she will tell you that she fell in love with the South!. Through God’s Divine inspiration, Lois has had the pleasure of working with her clients to create special places of beauty for a variety of purposes. The need may be a place of solitude, a quiet oasis to soothe the spirit after a hectic day; or paths and arches leading to a beautiful flower garden. It may be a bench beside a splashing fountain, or a children’s garden. Whatever the purpose, she will help you choose from an endless selection of trees, flowering shrubs and plants to brighten the way. Lois thrives on helping her clients create their vision. Lois has been helping us imagine, design, and install our extensive gardens for almost 10 years. We can dig holes, drop in the plants, mulch, and weed but developing a plan and picking out the perfect plants were difficult, leaving us unsatisfied. Lois has been the answer for our desire to grow beautiful yet unique gardens.

Lois is a pro, and it shows in every facet of the project. However, what makes Lois an exceptional landscape designer is her passion. When she first saw my front garden, I could see her get excited about the possibilities. She created a design for the space I had couldn’t have imagined. Then there are the plants, that's where her passion shines. I was so happy with the front garden that I hired Lois to design and install another bed. My instructions were simple, “Just work your magic.” And she did.

My project was a small one but Lois took all the care in the world to complete it. It was completed just before Thanksgiving 2020. I live in a condominium and am required to have association approval for any exterior work. Lois provided a detailed plan to make this approval process much easier. She and her crew were always on time, curteous and thorough completing the project. I am looking forward to enjoying the full beauty of the new garden come spring 2021.

We hired Lois for a backyard patio project. She hit it out of the park! Lois was stellar in every regard.... professional demeanor, unique design, ability to compliment and work with existing structures, consistency, timeliness, managing the sub contractors and follow up. Lois even came in under budget. She is clear and concise in all her business dealings. Lois kept us updated every step of the project. She even brought treats for our dogs! Lois has a wonderful gift for functional design. She took into account how we live in our home. The project exceeded all our expectations. We plan to use Lois again in the future.

She has a great ability to translate what the client is envisioning into reality along with ideas the client hasn't even envisioned. From landscape designing, to choosing plants, that as she says 'play well together', to expert landscape lighting installs, she is the complete package and because of her great people/networking skills, the crews she works with to help with various projects also have great work ethic and provide quality work.
