Mr Kleehammer and his crew are a credit to his profession. They pay an exceptional attention to detail and know their trade very well. They take their time and continuously involve the home owner for their satisfaction. The end product was exceptional and beyond our expectation in looks and functionality. They are very reasonable financially and work very close with you to make sure you are not blind sided by hidden costs. I would not hesitate contracting with him in the future for any of my building needs.

Will and his whole team were absolutely fantastic. They ensured they got our floors installed before our move in, even pulling some late nights to do so. We were really happy with the quality as well - no cut corners. We're looking forward to working with them on a couple other projects we'd like to have done around the new house.

Will and his crew essentially saved our home. We are so grateful for the work they did. Mike’s work is unmatched, he did such an incredible job. Everything he did turned out completely gorgeous. He is so skilled in his craft and he did so many things in our house that were a total pain to renovate but everything looks wonderful. They saved our breakfast nook, had to fix the mess that a previous fraud of a contractor had made which jeopardized the structural integrity of our home, and so much more. The crew from Kleehammer Construction remodeled several rooms in our house to include a major kitchen and mudroom remodel. This is a considerate and hardworking group of guys and easy to have around your home. They are professional, efficient, obviously very skilled, and did what they said they were going to do. Our mudroom remodel included customized shelving for laundry baskets and a customized wall with many hooks to hang jackets and bags, a bench to sit on below the hooks with drawers beneath the bench to store mittens, gloves, and hats. They also built shelves for storing shoes and boots that match the cabinetry. An area was created in one of the cabinets in the room to conveniently house our cat’s litter box, and another area was created beneath a counter and drawer for our dog’s food and water bowls. Having ample storage space and room for doing laundry with pet areas out of our path – all fitting in with our décor - makes this room my favorite! I was so happy with the results of our home remodel that I’ve signed on with them to completely remodel my two bathrooms.

Will Kleehammer and his team did an excellent job remodeling our small bathroom! Everyone was professional and courteous. We appreciated that they completed the job while we were out-of-town. We still have to decorate and add the finishing touches, but we’re extremely happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend this company for any remodel.

I have been acquainted with Will’s work and his work ethic for many years. Above and beyond our expectations Will and his entire incredible crew of outstanding artisan craftsmen totally gutted from the roof to the basement, redesigned rooms for quality and usable space, while we were away for the winter. Will Kleehammer assembled a great team to remodel our master bathroom and powder room. We had a particular challenge with soundproofing in the master bath, and through strong collaboration between the drywall, plumbing and tile teams, they were able to address the sound issue to our complete satisfaction. Kleehammer construction updated my deck with hog fence railing. It is so modern and clean. I have a perfect view of my beautiful perennial garden. It is a complete transformation! I have quite a large deck with an awning so it is truly an outdoor living space. I would highly recommend Kleehammer construction for any remodeling or building projects. I have worked closely with Will and his people for 5 years. We have done quite a few projects together. It has been my pleasure to work with him as he is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Will and his team do extremely professional work and do it well. They repaired and finished a basement that had some flood damage and they made it better than it was pre-flood. They designed and built a custom built-in based on a picture and my very rough drawing. It looks great. They also replaced a large pergola on the back of our house and they made it better than it was originally. In both cases, we were very pleased with the final product. After 30 years of coming to a resort on Sleeping Bear Bay in Northern Michigan, we decided to buy a condo on Lake Michigan. The resort realtor recommended Kleehammer Construction from years of satisfied clients. The seamless transformation of a 1980’s contemporary to a timeless era was accomplished with the addition of wainscoting, tongue and groove paneling on the ceilings, cabinetry, tile, mouldings and paint throughout. The latter two were to frame and enhance the view, not compete. We renovated the kitchen and 4 bathrooms with the conversion of a jetted tub area into a walk in shower and the original shower into a linen closet. Will’s idea of painting the oak trim throughout made the staircase hand railings meld in beautifully with the rest of the living room and hall. The sub contractors updated the electrical systems, installed new lighting throughout, added heating and cooling systems, and replaced the front and back decks with Trex. Will made multiple daily phone calls and sent pictures to us at our primary residence four hours away. This staved off the cliche horror stories, and made this renovation project one of the best experiences we have had, as we all knew what was expected of one another. His pricing was reasonable and the project was done on time so we could enjoy the view in the spring. The crew was skilled, fun to deal with (especially Mike), efficient and professional. Many of them have become our friends. The final touch was to add antiques and memorabilia from three generations of East Coast family cottages to the “condage” (condo/cottage) on the Middle Coast.

This project also involved some dangerous duty, replacing second-story windows and repainting our gables and chimney -- 3 stories up and on a steep roof! The new windows you installed and the exterior improvements now make our 44-year-old house look "just built", after you worked your magic on it. This is only the latest successful project you have done for us. Over the years, you have completed a new roof (and a roofline modification of your own design), attic insulation, a new vinyl deck, a unique siding replacement solution, upgraded our kitchen lighting system, and completely repainted our interior. The primary attribute for any professional is to be a good listener. Will Kleehammer is an excellent listener. He quickly won our confidence by doing a small project for us about a year before the renovation. Will is a person who keeps his word and he does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. He communicated extensively with us at all times by telephone, text and email. He was always available when we would call or he would call us back immediately. We could always rely on lots of pictures to explain the progress being made or to obtain direction from us if needed. In our renovation project, we removed all of the interior elements of our 1980’s mid-century modern style condominium including drywall, electrical, plumbing and windows. A major renovation involves hundreds of design decisions and attention to as many details. Will Kleehammer did not miss a beat and truly amazed us with his recall of numerous conversations he had with us when we were brainstorming on how our ideas could turn into reality. Looking at draft plans of a new kitchen, a built-in cabinet or a laundry room is difficult for most homeowners, so to go forward with a contractor, is largely a matter of faith. Our trust was well placed in Will, and he exceeded our expectations during this entire renovation project. There were several residential and commercial code requirements that had to be met because this is a condominium. Structural engineering requirements had to be fulfilled. Will deftly navigated the various permits, requirements and inspections so that the project would not get delayed. The business of government permits and inspections is a very time consuming and necessary part of any renovation project. We appreciated that Will handled all of this aspect of the project for us. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. Will has many talented long term employees who made all of our dreams come true. Retrofitting all of the trim in a 1980’s condominium where walls are not plumb and corners are crooked is a testimony to talent and tenacity. The work areas were always cleaned up at the end of each day and materials were kept organized. A thorough construction clean up was done at completion, and we were most grateful for that. We are extremely happy with the end result and are always pleased to show it off! We were not constrained in our budget. Nevertheless, Will often had ideas that saved money and still gave us what we wanted and usually more. Our relationship throughout this project was always congenial and fun. That is a rarity in the construction business today!

Kleehammer Construction LLC installed hardwood floors, gutted a laundry room, and powder room as well as installing windows on a porch that was screened in at our home in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
