Woodland Flooring and Millwork

We had completed extensive investigations into big box stores and other local suppliers, before we selected Woodland Flooring. There were a number of contributing factors; -the wood products were sourced locally, we requested Douglas fir and Big Leaf Maple - the fit and finish of the 3/4" t&g was superb -very knowledgable and helpful staff - product delivery was right on time and freight to remote Hornby Island was included in the price Even though the price was higher than other solid wood flooring, the quality and finish of the Woodland flooring product was much higher. I would purchase this p reduction again

It has been 4 years since we renovated our house. We chose the 5 1/4" and 7" rocky mountain resawn coastal fir flooring in golden brown stain throughout most of our place. We absolutely love the outcome for the rich colour, warmth and cozy feeling it provides as well as the easy care and maintenance. In fact , the floors are what still receive the most compliments ! We were extremely thankful for all the suggestions,guidance and professionalism shown to us by Steve (owner) and staff and therefore would highly recommend this company to everyone !!

Our friends told us about Woodland flooring so we checked them out. We have since hired them for complete flooring, including custom stairs, trim and baseboards, for two homes and we are working on our third. The floors are gorgeous, and we always receive complements from guests when they come into our homes. Working with Steve and his crew has been excellent. Woodland installed locally harvested flooring in 3 rooms in our house. We loved both the quality of the wood and workmanship. Their modest showroom allows competitive pricing. Re-floored as part of a major renovation, then floored additional rooms a couple of years later. Wide-plank west coast fir was purchased from Woodland Flooring and installed by Dominik's Hardwood Floors. Recently, five years later, I refinished the floors. The owner, Steve Roscoe, was extremely helpful with the initial purchase and the refinishing job. The flooring is of very high quality and pricing competitive. Woodlands did a superb job of matching the wood for the carry-on job two years later.

I have worked with woodland flooring for over 10 years now. I am a renovation contractor specializing in high-end renovations. I am also a perfectionist type AAA personality. I do a lot of hardwood flooring installations. I always recommend Woodland Flooring to my clients for the best solution in wood flooring. Many times I will have to install flooring from other companies that they have bought before I show up. The flooring might seem like a great deal but is terrible quality. Looks great in the box when you open it, then I have to create a great floor out of it. As an example: clients bought maple flooring from a different company. Looked great, As I was installing after doing my layout,the strips varied in width by a 1/16 of an inch which does not seem like much until you put two side by side. Now you are out 1/8th of an inch which is a nightmare! Your eye will see that a mile away. Your floor will also be so out of parallel to the wall it will be a mess. I ended up throwing aside more than 25% of the wood as it was not useable! It also took so much longer to get the job done! Some wood strips will also be wider at one end than the other. Good luck installing that!! With Steve's flooring at Woodland Flooring I have never had an issue. EVER! His wood is always perfectly sized; parallel, square edges, consistent width and thickness and the finish is perfect. His flooring comes with jars of stain and top coat for touch up or detail work. I really like that since I always make my own custom thresholds and floor/trim details that I can then finish with their stain and top coat. I always worry when I show up onsite about where the flooring has been sourced from. When I know Woodland Flooring is the company I will be working with I can relax and be my creative self! They provide a Top Quality product that will last the life of your home and just get better with age. I can then do an installation to be proud of and you have a floor to enjoy for life. Woodland was one of the first shops we looked at. After shopping around we discovered their product was superior, the price was competitive and the finish was "top shelf". Steve made himself available throughout the entire project. One of the deciding factors was the wood kiln that Woodland have. Also the humidity in our new build was strictly controlled and adhered to which is imperative for a successful installation.The entire process was a complete success and we have beautiful, natural wood floors from a local forest provided by a local business. We couldn't be more pleased on our choice to go with Woodland Flooring.
