Ronnie Gore. Her work is a breath of fresh air. Very clever combination of material together. Beautiful and clean designs. Her own house is an example of her work. This beautiful, airy and extremely peaceful house in the middle of chaotic L.A. I can’t say enough of her design work. I watched her house build from scratch. Just driving by and seeing the progress. One day, when they were moving in, I saw this woman outside the house. I stopped her and asked: do you know who is the architect? And proudly with big smile, she said: I am! I was very impressed. Several years later, when I wanted to remodel my house, I researched and found her and contacted her. Beautiful, warm personality. Easy to work with. Very patient and calm. She comes up with great ideas with great taste.

We used Amorphous.studio service several times as a General Contractor. Ronnie has been more than professional providing the best possible service. We did several design projects and engineering drawings for the second floor deck for one of our clients. Ronnie was on top of things from the beginning till we complete the project providing necessary help on each stage of the project.

I have been involved in many of Ronnie’s projects doing the flooring. Since flooring is the last part of the remodeling projects, I have seen her beautiful finish work. Most importantly, all clients have been very satisfied with her professional work.

After looking for home designer and builder for a while we decided to work with Ronnie at Amorphous Studio, for our entire house renovation and it was the best decision that we made, we are so happy with the final design of our new house, Ronnie payed close attention to our needs and the process was smooth, there is no better professional person that you can trust out there for any projects or in our case our dream home. I have known Architect/Designer/Builder Ronnie Gor for 10+ years. As a custom cabinetry designer, it has been an honor to work with Ronnie on several projects. Ronnie has a keen eye for design and detail. She is "hands-on" with every project. She brings her clients the best in design and materials, respect for budget and environmental responsibility, and end user comfort. I've seen many of her projects and highly recommend Ronnie and Amorphous Studio for projects of all sizes.

We worked with ronnie for the better part of a year, and unfortunately had to part ways with her due to lack of experience and transparency. We gave ronnie a budget to build to and she insisted that we get permits approved before giving us a final quote on the work - assuring us that “everything would be fine” since she was both the architect and builder and she could make our budget work. Only after permits were approved did we discover that the plans she drew were over twice our allocated budget. And we would likely need to redraw and reapply for permits in order to remedy the problem. Though she tried to remedy this by winging it - no redraw, no repermit, just phasing, we had lost trust in her and her process. This, amongst many small issues (not advising us correctly on permitting timelines, lack of communication clarity, etc), led us to part ways with her. Though we left things amicably and have since started working with a new team, Ronnie is now unresponsive and is not cooperating with us to work with the new architect and contractor that we’ve hired. $30,000 spent on designs…$10,000 on permitting, not to mention engineering, and it’s all gone to waste. We would caution anyone looking to hire this pro.

We understand your concerns and would like to clarify a few points. As your property is on a hillside, it’s essential for homeowners to share all relevant information with professionals to avoid complications. It appears either this information was withheld, or your home inspector/realtor did not disclose the poor conditions of the house. Had we known about the substandard soil and previous remodel issues, we would have approached the project differently.

From the start, we prioritized your budget by downsizing the project and redrawing plans without additional charges. We designed the project in phases to accommodate your need to stay in the house during construction. Despite the challenges with the city, we worked diligently for over 9 months to secure permits, including design, engineering, and energy drawings, and maintained transparent communication throughout.

We regret the parting of ways, especially after our efforts, which included bi-weekly meetings, site visits, and interior design services, all done without extra fees. If you choose to revise the design with your new firm, it’s standard practice for them to handle the drawings. We genuinely wish you the best with your project and future endeavors.

I had great experience with Ronnie/Amorphous Studio. My spouse and I were looking for a professional to help us with our project, we needed to get the blueprints and the city permits for construction. From the beginning Ronnie was very professional and excellent at keeping communication with us (that's very important to me). She came to our home, listened to our ideas and gave us a free estimate for her service. I'm so happy that we decided to work with her because she delivered with excellence everything that was laid out in our contract. She also gave us really good tips in the design part and guided us through the entire process of getting the permits. I cannot recommend her enough for any kind of architectural/design project, Ronnie is really good at what she does.

Ronnie did a great job on recommending a novel yet brilliant reimagining of our space that made the best use of the available square footage in our home. She expertly crafted the plans and has held our hand through the permit and approval processes. Ronnie is an excellent partner for a home renovation or design. I hope to work with her soon on the construction/renovation project.

Amorphous Studios beyond exceeded our expectations. Ronnie Gor, our Designer, Developer, and Licensed General Contractor, was referred to us by a colleague. We contracted Ronnie to design our master bedroom addition (500 sq. ft.) and garage ADU conversion (480 sq. ft.). From the first moment we contracted Ronnie, she sprung into action. She put together a very thorough proposal, and began working on our plans that same weekend! During the design phase, Ronnie was in constant communication and always valued our feedback. She also went above and beyond to fix or change things as needed - she wasn't satisfied until we were satisfied with the design/plan. Ronnie's eye for design and creativity really are unparalleled! Once all of our design/renderings were completed, Amorphous Studios took care of all of the engineering plans and permit submittals. We are first time homeowners who are navigating our first renovation/big construction project, so having Amorphous Studios by our side to answer all of our questions and explain the process really helped ease our concerns about taking on major construction. Highly recommended!

Ronnie Gor was the designer for our major remodel project in Tarzana, CA. The work covered a complete remodel of a 70 year-old, ranch-style home and construction of an attached ADU. There are inherent challenges in adding to an older home and creating a seamless whole. Ronnie was up to the task. and willingly worked with our own (me and husband) creative vision through the process. Aside from an overall look and flow, the house could have no unnecessary elevation changes, and no obvious distinction between the old and the new. The design must consider the lot the house is on and address our needs, tastes and budget. Ronnie shone in all areas. The result is a modern home with unique characteristics in both design and function. It is a single structure which, by the closing of a single door, creates two separate and entirely independent homes. Neither infringing on the other. Both are spacious, receive endless natural light, have all the amenities, and each boasting its own two-car garage. Ronnie Gor can fairly be credited with an outstanding job.
