Elizabeth McDonald Interiors introduced my husband Bill and me to the work of Daniel E. Smith. We were so taken by his style and expressiveness that we commissioned him to do a painting for us, and he did not disappoint. In fact, we love our new painting and hope to acquire more of his work in the future. Daniel was an absolute joy to work with, and here's why.
Daniel's ability to listen and interpret what we wanted in a painting was surprising. We really appreciated him taking notes of our discussions (we didn't think artists did that) and asking insightful, clarifying questions. Of course, he's a very skilled artist; his large body of work speaks for itself. But we think his analytical and deductive skills are his secret weapons in getting to the core of what a client is hoping for in a commissioned work of art. Also, Daniel provided us with updates depicting the picture's evolution and this allowed us to provide very important feedback along the way.
